Govt taking steps to curb cyber crimes: Jyotiraditya Scindia
Mr. Scindia told the Lok Sabha that the Ministries of Communications and Home have taken four to five major measures to deal with cyber crimes.

It has coopted 620 institutions, including 570 banks, police institutions of 36 States and investigating agencies, Mr. Scindia said during the Question Hour.
Elaborating on the measures taken, the Minister also said that international spoofed calls have come down by 97 per cent.
A Fraud Risk Indicator (FRI) software is being used wherein the data about individuals doing fraud with banks are categorised into various categories. The details are provided to all the banks and the transaction of such individuals are blocked, he said.
Responding to a supplementary question, Mr. Scindia said State-owned BSNL and MTNL are back on the road to recovery.
The Minister mentioned about the review meeting of BSNL this week and said a business plan will be prepared, especially for each business circle.

Singh clarified that the decision to cease military action was taken bilaterally between India and Pakistan. 'The discussion to cease military action took place directly between India and Pakistan through the existing channels of communication between the two-armed forces, and it was initiated at Pakistan's request.' Responding to a question on third-party mediation, Singh reiterated New Delhi's long-standing policy: 'As regards any proposal for third-party mediation, our longstanding position remains that any outstanding issue with Pakistan will be discussed only bilaterally. This has been made clear to all nations, including by the Prime Minister to the US President.' He emphasised that the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership is underpinned by mutual trust and respect for sovereignty: 'The India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership is anchored in mutual trust, shared interests, goodwill and robust engagement between our citizens. The partnership has also benefited from growing strategic convergence and cooperation.' Singh also reaffirmed that India remains committed to strategic autonomy despite deepening ties with Washington. HC quashes FIR against CM in BJP ‘defamation' case
Justice K. Lakshman of the Telangana High Court, on Friday, quashed the proceedings related to the First Information Report (FIR) issued against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, pending before a local court in Hyderabad. The case was registered against the CM based on a private complaint lodged by BJP General Secretary Kasam Venkateshwarlu, alleging that Mr. Revanth Reddy defamed BJP by stating that 'the party would do away with reservation to BCs, SCs and STs if it came to power'. The statement was made by the CM at a public meeting in Kothagudem during the 2024 Lok Sabha election campaign, the complainant said. Challenging this, Mr. Revanth Reddy filed a criminal petition in the HC, which set aside the FIR.

Union I&B ministry hands over approval letter to MP CM for Akashvani studio in Ujjain

'In today's information age, broadcasting media has special importance along with other mass media. Akashvani has its own authenticity. In this regard, Ujjain is an important centre along with Indore in Malwa region where Akashvani studio setup was required. I had met Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Dr L Murugan on July 8 on this issue,' the CM said. The Union government was requested to set up an Akashvani center and studio in Ujjain, which has now been approved, Yadav said. 'Till the completion of this process, short-term broadcasting has been arranged from Akashvani Indore six days a week. While other types of arrangements are being made in view of Simhastha: 2028, the achievement of getting Akashvani setup approved in Ujjain is important in the direction of expansion of official media,' he added. A well-equipped radio station was needed to encourage local artists of Ujjain and Malwa region, he said. 'Along with promoting art and culture, this will be a special outreach support for rural and tribal areas. Publicity of goverrnment schemes and expansion of community radio networks will prove useful. It will provide special assistance in reaching information about public welfare decisions to remote rural areas,' he said.
