Travis Kelce jokes about expanding his family with Taylor Swift. And Jason has an emotional word of warning
Travis Kelce could soon be adding a pet to his and Taylor Swift 's household as he admitted 'I need to get a dog' during a discussion on Monday.
Speaking at the Amazon Port Panel in Cannes, France alongside his brother Jason, Travis was discussing doing advertisements when the topic of dogs came up.
'The ads I love the most are the ones I actually use, the stuff that I use every single day,' he said. 'It's hard to sell dog food when you don't have a dog.'
It was then suggested to Travis by one of the other panel members that 'maybe it's time to get a dog.
'There you go, yeah, I need to get a dog,' he responded.
Jason then cracked: 'Try selling it right after your dog dies.'
The brothers chatted about a variety of topics before Travis had to return to Kansas City
Travis and Taylor have been dating for nearly two years, though some fans have been convinced that they're secretly engaged.
Neither of them have any children, though Swift has three cats, and the couple spend much of their time living together.
Travis and Jason also discussed the inception of their hugely-famous 'New Heights' podcast during the speech.
'I think we've always wanted to show everybody our brotherhood, our family, how we're in this crazy football world together supporting each other from different sides of the country.
'It was an opportunity to honestly spend more time together,' Kelce added, before Jason said 'we would go months in the season without really talking to each other.'
The appearance in Cannes came just a day before a mandatory Chiefs minicamp beginning Tuesday.
The tight end previously skipped voluntary team workouts as he was seen spending some time in Florida.
The Chiefs' mandatory minicamp will run from June 17-19, before Kelce and his teammates get a break until training camp begins on July 21.
The 10-time Pro Bowler was spotted in Miami last Tuesday as Chiefs OTAs began.
Nonetheless, he looked to be keeping active as he was seen entering a gym for a morning workout in the Sunshine State.
After a high-octane offseason last summer - much of which was spent following girlfriend Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour - Kelce has been keeping a lower profile this year.
Kelce was seen earlier this month attending a family wedding with Swift, while he also attended a golf event at the Kiawah Island resort in South Carolina.
Following a crushing loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl, Kelce took his time to decide on his future before choosing to return for a 13th season.
And it appears that Kelce - in what could be his final season - intends to return with a vengeance.
His quarterback and good friend Patrick Mahomes took note of his focus during a set of OTAs in May.
'If it's the last ride, you would never know,' Mahomes said after being asked about Kelce's approach.
'I mean, the way he's talking about football, the way he's talking about working and trying to be even better this year than he was last year. He doesn't seem like a guy that, it's his last ride, like he's tired of the job.
He's in here, he's working and I know his body feels good, I think it feels better than even last year before going into last season.'
Amid Kelce's absence from OTAs last week, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler also revealed that the future Hall of Fame had dropped around 25 pounds this offseason.
'He played a little heavier in 2024, it was sort of a thing,' Fowler said. 'He vowed to change it and he has.
'As we have talked about before, this could be the last dance here for him, mid-30s, still a productive player, they want to go to him on third down but declining a little bit.
'So he is trying to be slimmer and has gone hardcore this offseason to make it work in what could be his final season.'
Kelce had 97 catches for 823 yards and three TDs in 2024 - still more than most tight ends, but the lowest of his career outside of his rookie season, where he only played once.
His bid for a fourth Super Bowl will begin on September 5, when the Chiefs take on the Chargers in Brazil.

McIlroy first to qualify for Team Europe at Ryder Cup
June 16 (Reuters) - Rory McIlroy became the first player to qualify for Europe for the 2025 Ryder Cup, the team announced on Monday, with the Masters champion set to make his eighth consecutive appearance in the biennial event. McIlroy sealed his spot through the European Points List, a qualification pathway based on performances in DP World Tour and co-sanctioned events, as the Northern Irishman has enjoyed four victories so far since last August. The 35-year-old completed a long-sought career Grand Slam at Augusta National in April, on top of victories at the Dubai DP World Tour Championship in November, the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, and The Players Championship. A top-20 finish at the U.S. Open over the weekend was enough to mathematically guarantee his place on the team. The 2025 Ryder Cup will be held at Bethpage Black in New York from September 26–28, with European captain Luke Donald set to round out his 12-man squad later this year through six automatic qualifiers and six captain's picks. "It's always a huge honour to represent Europe in the Ryder Cup, so it means a great deal to have qualified for my eighth in a row and to be part of Luke's team again at Bethpage," McIlroy said. "Winning a Ryder Cup away from home is one of the biggest challenges there is in golf. We know it is going to be tough in New York, but we are all looking forward to that challenge in September and the opportunity to potentially do something special." McIlroy has been a Ryder Cup mainstay since his debut in 2010, helping Europe to five victories in seven appearances.

Three ways to stay safe on a budget as the temperature soars
TEMPERATURES are soaring across Britain this week and protecting your skin is essential. But sunny days needn't break the bank. 7 Here's how to stay safe on a budget . . . DITCH BRANDED: It's always best to opt for lotion that has an SPF of at least 30 to protect against harmful rays. You can spend loads of cash on luxury sun lotions, but own-brand can be just as good. Just make sure the lotion you use has at least a four-star UVA protection. There are plenty of affordable lotions that fall into this category. For example, Aldi's Lacura SPF50+ Sensitive Sun Lotion (200ml), priced at £2.99, has five-star UVA and UVB rating, plus it has been awarded a 'Great Value' accreditation by consumer champion Which?. The lotion outperformed specialist brands costing almost ten times as much at £28. STAY SAFE: Drink plenty of water when the sun is shining to keep you and your skin well hydrated. Avoid being out in the sun when it's strongest between 11am and 3pm. Find some shade instead or stay indoors. How to stay cool during hot weather If you're in the sun, wear loose clothing that helps keep your skin covered, as well as lotion. When applying sunscreen, make sure you spread it generously, if it is too thin it won't offer enough protection. And you should also chuck any lotion that is past its expiry date. AFTER SUN: If you've spent too long in the sun and your skin is feeling a touch sensitive, take a cool shower to help calm the burn. An aloe vera plant can also help soothe — you can buy one for as little as £3 in Ikea. Squeeze the gel from the plant's leaves and pop in the fridge to make it feel nice and cool before applying to skin. A layer of alcohol-free moisturiser can lock in the aloe vera gel.
