Tripura CM joins Janmashtami celebrations at Banamalipur Krishna temple
Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 16 (ANI): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday joined the Janmashtami celebrations at the Krishna Temple in Agartala's Banamalipur, organised by the Tripura Yadav Samaj to mark the birth of Lord Krishna. Devotees thronged the temple premises, offering prayers, singing devotional songs, and taking part in cultural programs. The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the people on the occasion and praised the Yadav community for preserving and promoting their spiritual and cultural President Droupadi Murmu extended warm greetings to all Indians in the country and abroad on the eve of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. According to a release from the President's Secretariat, the President of India, in her message on the eve of Janmashtami, has said, 'On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, a festival filled with joy and enthusiasm, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all the Indians living in India and abroad."President Murmu added, 'The life and teachings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna inspire us towards self-development and self-realisation. Bhagwan Shri Krishna enlightened humanity about the attainment of the ultimate truth by following the path of Dharma. This festival inspires us to adopt eternal values embodied by Yogeshwar Shri Krishna. On this occasion, let us all take a pledge to follow the teachings of Bhagwan Shri Krishna and make our society and nation stronger". Meanwhile, in Gujarat's Dwarka, special security and logistical arrangements have been put in place for Janmashtami, with dedicated facilities for senior citizens, differently abled devotees, and mothers, along with provisions for clean drinking water and enhanced sanitation. Preparations for Dahi Handi festivities and Janmashtami are underway across the country, including Maharashtra, where grand Dahi Handi events witness devotees forming human pyramids to break earthen pots filled with curd, butter, and other milk products — symbolising Lord Krishna's playfulness and his love for butter and curd. Special arrangements in Gujarats Dwarka for Janmashtami
Dwarka (Gujarat) [India], August 16 (ANI): Special security and logistical arrangements have been put in place in Gujarat's Dwarka for Janmashtami, with dedicated facilities for senior citizens, differently abled devotees, and mothers, along with provisions for clean drinking water and enhanced sanitation. Dwarka SDM Lt Col (Retd) Amol Awate said on Friday that special provisions have been made for senior citizens and differently abled people. 'Keeping Janmashtmi in mind, the district administration has taken many steps. From Kirti Stambh, a single-point entry has been made for all the devotees. Special provisions have been made so that e-rickshaws can drop senior citizens and differently abled persons directly to the door of the temple, from where, the staff will assist them in wheelchairs for darshan. For mothers, five baby feeding centres have been established inside the temple," Awate told ANI. He added that dedicated teams have been assigned for cleaning bathrooms and temples. 'From Hathi Gate to Sudama Setu, we have assigned a dedicated team to ensure that all toilets and bathrooms are thoroughly cleaned and well-maintained. The water management has been done through almost 5 water tanks and the cold and clean water from these water tanks will be distributed to the devotees all over the road and since last 2 days…almost 10 JCBs and 15 tractors and trolleys are used in cleaning all the temples in our Dwarka taluka i.e. Dwarka, Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar, there is a dedicated programme for their cleaning, we have been doing this since last 2 days and will continue this for the next three days," he said. He further said, 'We expect that whoever works well in the service of Dwarkadish should do it well, and all the devotees who come from outside should have a good experience and should go from Dwarka with good memories."Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura, in a remarkable display of patriotism, the Krishna Janambhoomi temple has unveiled a board to honour the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces for their success in 'Operation Sindoor" on the occasion of the 79th Independence Day. This operation was a significant cross-border strike that showcased the military's prowess and strategic capabilities. The display of the board at the Krishna Janambhoomi temple highlights the intersection of patriotism and faith in Indian culture. It reflects the deep respect and admiration for the armed forces and their role in safeguarding the country. UAE carries out 72nd airdrop of aid over Gaza Strip
Abu Dhabi [UAE], August 15 (ANI/ WAM): The United Arab Emirates has continued its humanitarian support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, today conducting its 72nd airdrop of aid under Operation Birds of Goodness, part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, in cooperation with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and with the participation of Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, and shipment included quantities of essential food supplies, prepared with the support of UAE-based charitable institutions and entities, to help meet the needs of residents amid the difficult humanitarian conditions in the the completion of this airdrop, the total amount of aid delivered by air under the operation has exceeded 3,972 tonnes of various relief items, including food and essential supplies, underscoring the UAE's steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people and strengthening their initiatives highlight the UAE's leading role in international relief work, by mobilising regional and international efforts and reinforcing a humanitarian giving approach to ease the suffering of those affected in crisis areas.
