Officers are investigating a burnt out car which they believe is linked to a 'machete' attack on the Daniel crime group amid the ongoing Edinburgh gang war.
The Audi was discovered on Boswell Drive on Monday May 19 just two hours after two males were taken to hospital following the gang linked 'machete' incident.
Police revealed on Tuesday May 20 that they believe the vehicle to be linked to the violent East Kilbride knife attack, according to the Daily Record. Officers are hunting for a gang of masked assailants who they claim attacked a 45-year-old man and a 41-year-old man at Robert Daniel's business, leaving them both needing treatment.
One victim was taken to the nearby University Hospital Hairmyres while the other was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
The accident repair shop, which is on Wilson Place, East Kilbride, and is owned by Robert Daniel Snr, was searched by cops as the probe got underway yesterday afternoon.

The Audi A5 was later found torched in the nearby town of Blantyre, in the town's Boswell Drive area, and pictures of the wrecked vehicle show the extent of the damage.
Detective Superintendent Martin McGhee said: "We believe this was a targeted incident. From our enquiries so far, we believe the car that was set on fire was also used in the earlier serious assault.
"I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed either of these incidents to contact us as soon as possible. In addition, anyone who has CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to get in touch as this may be able to assist our enquiries."
McGhee added: "We understand these incidents will be concerning for the local community but please be assured we will bring those involved to justice."

It comes after Edinburgh Live reported that the Daniel crime clan are at the top of Dubai-based gangster Ross McGill's hit list as the hood wages a bloody war in Scotland.
McGill, known as "Mr Big", has been orchestrating a series of violent attacks across the country since March after it was believed Edinburgh kingpin Mark Richardson ripped him off in a £500k cocaine deal.
The feud spread from the capital to Glasgow when the Daniel mob became targets over their close association with Richardson. McGill, an ex-Rangers ultra and Union Bears boss, has offered £100k bounties for the scalps of his top targets.

Suspected terror attack on King Charles' guards prevented in 'huge security scare'

Officers reportedly arrested a man and discovered his alleged plan while he was in custody being questioned on separate offences. A suspected terror attack on soldiers protecting King Charles has been prevented, it is understood. Officers reportedly arrested a man and discovered his alleged plan while he was in custody being questioned on separate offences. Military personnel at a barracks near Windsor Castle in Windsor, Berkshire were reportedly warned not to leave the grounds in uniform following the arrest. ‌ As reported by the Mirror, the alert remained in place for two days at Victoria Barracks, which is the home to the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards. ‌ A source told The Sun: 'The suspect is feared to have been plotting an attack. Police informed bosses at the barracks and measures were taken immediately despite him already being in custody. It was a huge security scare. But it was in the interests of everyone's safety.' The outlet reports that Thames Valley Police first arrested the man in Slough, Berkshire, last week on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and arson at the nearby Salt Hill Activity Centre. While he was in custody on Sunday June 1, however, police re-arrested him on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts. It's understood the investigation is now being led by Counter Terrorism Policing South East. The suspect is believed to be a 'lone actor' and no other arrests have been made and the alleged incident has understandably caused some concern among local residents. Police have have stepped up patrols to reassure the public but officers have not yet named, or released any further details about, the 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of the suspected terror attack. Windsor Barracks, specifically Victoria Barracks and Combermere Barracks, have a rich history intertwined with military service and the royal family. Victoria Barracks was originally built for the Foot Guards and has seen various expansions and changes over time. Today, it's home to the Household Cavalry and is the starting point for the Changing the Guard procession at Windsor Castle. The barracks are located 0.25 miles (0.40 km) south of Windsor Castle. ‌ Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Windsor Castle, the world's largest and oldest occupied castle, is open on set days throughout the year. As a working royal palace, it is used frequently by The Sovereign for State ceremonies and official entertaining, and closures can occasionally occur at short notice. The presence of the monarch at Windsor Castle is signified by the Royal Standard flag flying majestically from the Round Tower. This is a tradition that continued from Victoria's time. Although Queen Victoria is long gone, this practice is a direct nod to her reign and the customs she helped establish. ‌ An intruder sparked a royal security scare earlier this week after they allegedly broke into the grounds of Windsor Castle. The man is said to have climbed over the wall to get in the castle grounds on Sunday before he was quickly detained by officers from the Metropolitan Police, which is responsible for security at the royal residence. A man in his 30s was then handed over to the local police force, Thames Valley, before being arrested on suspicion of trespass and possession of a Class A drug. The Ministry of Defence and Counter Terrorism Policing South East have both been approached for comment.

Pheobe Bishop's mum 'ripped apart' as body found in search of missing teen

On Friday, a body was discovered close to the Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, in Queensland. Pheobe Bishop 's mum has told how she has been "ripped apart" after police discovered a body in search of the missing teen. The 17-year-old vanished after failing to check in for her flight at Bundaberg Regional Airport in Queensland on the morning of May 15. The search for the teenager gripped the nation and earlier this week, her flatmates James and Tanika Bromley were arrested and charged with one count of murder and two counts each of interfering with a corpse. On Friday, a body was discovered close to the Good Night Scrub National Park, near Gin Gin, in Queensland. State police said: "The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop." The teenager's heartbroken mum, Kylie Johynson, wrote on Facebook: 'I didn't think my heart could break anymore then it did when you went missing, or when the charges where laid but this! This is ripping me apart…' The update from police on the discovery of the body also stated: 'The brief search commenced after further enquires and investigations today, with the discovery being made by specialist units around 2.30pm. "The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop. A crime scene has been declared at the location and forensic examinations are continuing.' And it also made an appeal to the public over a car. 'Police continue to appeal for any information in relation to Pheobe Bishop or the movement of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15 to 18 in the greater Gin Gin area. Investigations continue,' it stated. Detectives believe that Pheobe was in a car with her housemates when it arrived close to Bundaberg Airport on May 15 but that she never boarded a flight to Western Australia to reunite with her boyfriend. Pheobe's mum earlier today wrote on social media that a candlelit vigil would be held for her daughter on Sunday, June 8. She said: "This is for our amazing community! Mum of two in tears as 'TikTok addiction' sends her to prison

Katherine Greenall, 29, spent a whopping £300,000 on TikTok tokens which she went on to gift to her favourite creators after she stole it from a St Helens business A mum was left crying after her " TikTok addiction" sent her to prison. Katherine Greenall, 29, wiped away tears as she was sentenced to 28 months behind bars after stealing an estimated half-a-million pounds from her employer while she worked as an account manager for the car company. Liverpool Crown Court heard on Friday how Greenall started working for the St Helens-based New Reg Ltd as a services manager in April 2021. Greenall, of Gloucester Street in the same town, was then promoted to accounts manager in December of the following year - which gave her access to business bank accounts. ‌ ‌ Prosecutor Christopher Taylor detailed how she had been considered as a "vital part of the company's growth", "very organised and capable" and both "trusted and respected", but committed a "significant abuse of trust" in manipulating financial reports that enabled her to siphon off funds into her own accounts. An analysis of her bank statements found during 2023Greenall received a total 53 unauthorised deposits totalling £57,036 from her employer. The same period also saw a "change in her expenditure", including numerous purchases from supermarkets, food outlets, Amazon Prime and sports retailers. The mum also splashed out on family holidays and hotel bookings as well as using stolen cash to pay for a family solicitor. Greenall's criminality went on to accelerate in the early months of 2024. In January that year, she made further four deposits to the tune of £8,917, followed by 10 more in February amounting to £14,916. She went on to pocket a staggering £146,288 in 20 separate payments, which were dwarfed by another 31 transactions in April 2024, giving a £196,364 boost to her bank account. Missing sums of money started to raise suspicions among senior managers. Smaller than expected profits were raised with Greenall during an internal investigation on May 1. She pledged to investigate the matter before returning to her desk and made a "final deposit" of £20,000 into her account, citing a false family illness. Greenall would admit her criminality in another meeting on May 7 and she went on to be arrested on May 13. ‌ She claimed the deposits "started small" and that they were used to fund "household purchases." But se later admitted the money had been used to fund TikTok payments, gifting tokens to content creators on the platform. Greenall ultimately swindled a total of £443,523 from the company in 121 separate transactions. She went to spend £301,162 on TikTok tokens with the proceeds being shared between the social media platform and the content creators who got the coins between February 2024 and April 2025, Liverpoo Echo reports. Greenall had no previous convictions. Paul Becker, defending, told the court that his client "may have been suffering from a form of addiction to TikTok", but stated that she had "no formal diagnosis to such an addiction". ‌ It is believed her two children, a six-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy with severe ADHD, will be looked after by her sister, a nursery care worker, in her absence. Mr Becker said: "This is fraud on a massive scale. It started out for personal matters. It was not TikTok initially, but it is right to say that the bulk of the fraud went towards TikTok. "It started off otherwise, and it became TikTok. It was not for any sort of financial reward. It was amusement. The more she did it, the more she became addicted to being on TikTok. What she was getting out of it was entertainment. That is what she was paying for. That is where the majority of the money was going towards. "Of course, that came from her employer who is massively out of pocket. It placed the business at risk and other members of staff in jeopardy. This was an abuse of trust on a massive scale. She is thoroughly ashamed of what she has done and has come today prepared for what might be said to be the inevitable. ‌ "She did not hold back with the police. She told them chapter and verse. It is not really rational thinking, to embark on this voyage of fraud and misadventure. What started out for her own personal benefit very quickly escalated into providing monies to TikTok. "Bringing up children is not easy. This, I am sure, had an effect on her at the time of the offending. It is perhaps some sort of insight as to why somebody embarks upon this sort of fraud. "It may be said that she was just greedy and wanted a better life and that is why she did it, but one has to have a holistic view of the factors in her life. It must have worn her down. It is not to negate what is deplorable behaviour, but she did not have an easy time. She is, if nothing else, a good mum who has done her best." Greenall admitted to one count of fraud by abuse of position. Appearing in the dock, she wiped away tears while being jailed for 28 months.
