Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro review

GSM Arena08-05-2025
The second CMF phone is here, and it is a Pro model to boot. Whether a vanilla model is on the way is beyond the scope of this review, but it's clear the new phone aims higher than its predecessor. Nothing keeps growing its portfolio, and we are here for it.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is very similar to the original CMF Phone 1 when it comes to design. The attachment point and exposed screws are the signature elements of the brand. It's a look that definitely stands out, which is definitely a good thing these days.
The CMF Phone 2 Pro is also more durable than its predecessor, with things like Panda Glass on the front and an IP54 ingress protection rating, alongside a manufacturer's promise that the phone should last for up to 20 minutes in up to 25cm of fresh water. The back is still made of plastic, though, with the pros and cons that entails. What about the internals, then? Well, the Pro mostly lives up to the moniker with quite a few upgrades over the CMF Phone 1. The display, for one, is bigger and brighter, with 10-bit color and HDR10+ support. The camera department has seen a lot of upgrades as well and is now much more versatile with a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide added to the mix. On some markets, the CMF Phone 2 Pro also introduces NFC for payments.
There are plenty of similarities between the CMF Phone 2 Pro and the original CMF Phone 1 on the inside too. The chipset hasn't changed much; it is now the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro instead of the regular 7300. The battery is the same 5,000 mAh pack with 33W wired charging support. Crucially, likely for many prospective buyers, the CMF Phone 2 Pro retains the microSD storage expansion slot.
However with plenty of other hardware upgraded, it is understandable that the price of the CMF Phone 2 Pro has increased as well. At the time of writing, an 8GB/128GB unit will set you back around €250. Join us as we try to determine whether the Phone 2 Pro is a bargain at that price! Unboxing
The CMF Phone 2 Pro ships in a rather thin sleeve-style cardboard box. There really isn't much material between the contents and any potential outside threat, which we don't appreciate. Even so, we are not too worried due to the internal arrangement, which has a box on top of the phone. Plus, the phone itself is nestled in a cradle for extra protection. Everything in the packaging, including said cradle, is made of recyclable materials, which is welcome.
There is sadly no charger in the box, just a basic Type-C to Type-C cable. On the plus side, a clear plastic case is included, so you can start using your phone immediately.

Redmi 15C 5G is still on the way, new certification reveals its charging power

Vlad, 07 August 2025 Redmi quietly launched the 15, 15 5G, and 15C at the beginning of this month, but for some reason chose to skip the 15C 5G. This device, however, is still on the way, as evidenced by its recent certification for sale in China, courtesy of 3C. The phone was certified with a 33W charger, so it stands to reason that it will be able to charge at up to 33W. It's likely to be made official in China later this month. Global availability isn't yet a given. It was certified by 3C with the model number 2508CRN2BC. According to past rumors, the Redmi 15C 5G has a 6.9-inch LCD screen with HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, the Dimensity 6300 SoC at the helm, 4GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The handset has a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP selfie snapper. It should run Android 15 from day one, with Xiaomi's HyperOS 2.0 on top. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button. It's 8.2 mm thin and weighs 211g. It will be offered in green, purple, and black. Via

The Pixel 9 Pro gets a solid $200 discount ahead of Pixel 10 launch

If you missed it, we shared a fantastic Pixel 9 Pro promo not long ago, and now, its larger sibling is on sale as well. For a limited time, you can buy the Pixel 9 Pro XL for $200 off, giving you a flagship experience at a much more affordable price. $200 off (18%) The Pixel 9 Pro XL has received a tempting limited-time sale right before the Pixel 10 launch. Right now, Amazon lets you buy the 128GB model in Hazel for a solid $200 off, making it way more affordable than usual. Buy at Amazon While this solid $200 discount doesn't bring the Google Pixel phone to its lowest price ever, we still think it's worth checking out. After all, the device checks a lot of boxes for its current asking price, including multiple AI features, a gorgeous display, and a top-tier camera setup. Just a heads up: you can only buy the handset for $200 off in Hazel, while other options sell at a smaller an absolutely stunning 6.8-inch OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate that switches between 1 and 120Hz, this Android phone provides an impressive visual experience. What's more, it's significantly brighter than the Pixel 8 Pro, which was already impressive on this front. What about camera quality? This device is no slouch in that department, packing a 50MP main lens, a 48MP 5x periscope sensor, and a 48MP ultra-wide camera on the rear. In our Pixel 9 Pro XL review, you'll find multiple camera samples so you can see what it's capable of. But here are the essentials: you get excellent dynamic range, natural tones, and sharp detail. Performance-wise, this device doesn't crush its competitors on the benchmark tests. However, Google has always been more focused on AI prowess than raw horsepower, and you do get plenty of advanced AI features. And, while it's not a performance beast, this Pixel phone gives you a superb experience with its Tensor G4 chip. Should you buy it? In the end, it all comes down to what you're looking for. All we can say is that it checks all the right boxes, and it's more affordable right now. If you're a Pixel phone fan looking to upgrade before the Pixel 10 arrives, now's your chance to save.
