Jake Paul and Olympic champion Jutta Leerdam are engaged: See the romantic proposal!
ALBAWABA - Jake Paul and Olympic champion Jutta Leerdam announce their engagement.
The Olympic speedskating champion Jutta Leerdam is the recipient of Jake Paul's official announcement of his engagement to the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jutta Leerdam.
An engagement announcement was made public on social media by the couple, who had begun dating at the beginning of 2023. Jake posted a series of romantic photographs from the moment he proposed to his girlfriend. He accompanied the photographs, which show him kneeling down in front of a bouquet of white roses and candles, with the words, "We're engaged... and can't wait to spend a lifetime together."
At the age of 26, Jutta Leerdam is recognized as one of the most renowned speedskating champions in the Netherlands. At the age of eleven, she made the transition from hockey to speedskating, and she went on to win her first championship just seven years later. Her athletic adventure began at that age.
However, the most noteworthy accomplishment she has had was at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in the 1000-meter speed skating event and earned a silver medal. When asked about her accomplishment, she remarked, "What a roller coaster!" The fact that I won a silver medal at the Olympics makes me pleased.
Jutta Leerdam is one of the most accomplished female skaters of her time. In addition to her accomplishments at the Olympics, she has also won six gold medals at the European Championships in the sprint and 1000-meter events.
The beginning of Jake Paul and Jutta Leerdam's romance was not a typical first step in their relationship. It was shown in the documentary series Countdown: Paul vs. Tyson, which is available on Netflix, that Paul reached out to Leerdam through a private message on Instagram and extended an invitation for her to participate in his podcast.
Initially, Leerdam did not show any interest in the situation, stating, "I thought he was so cocky! I had the impression that he believed he was capable of anything, but he refused to have me. Nevertheless, things quickly became more serious. She concluded by saying, "We connected on a very personal and deep level, even though we're from entirely different worlds." From that point forward, they have remained together, despite the difficulties that their rigorous training schedules have presented.
In the meantime, Jake Paul is continuing his career as a boxer, and Yuta Leerdam is working hard to achieve even greater success in speed skating. Together, they are making preparations for a future that will involve love, fame, and athletics.

'Israeli' facility lets children play ‘terrorist hunters' in simulated Palestinian village
A controversial "Israeli" facility, dubbed Fauda Base, is facing backlash after reports emerged that it allows children as young as six to engage in simulated undercover military operations, including dressing up as "terrorists" and conducting mock raids on a fabricated Palestinian village. The center, located in central "Israel", takes its name from the hit Netflix series Fauda, which dramatizes the actions of an elite "Israeli" undercover unit known as mista'arvim. These units operate disguised as Palestinians, often carrying out lethal operations in the occupied West Bank. The facility is operated by veterans from such units in collaboration with the "Israeli" entertainment company YES, the producer of the series. While the Fauda Base website claims its activities are designed for teens aged 15 and up (12 in its English version), an undercover report by HaMakom revealed that children as young as six have been permitted to participate in shooting simulations. However, the facility later denied this, stating that the minimum age for participants is 16. The experience, marketed as a chance to "go undercover," offers visitors a hands-on glimpse into life as a covert operative. According to its promotional materials, participants engage in 'a special operation and saving human lives,' while wearing gear associated with undercover forces—including mock firearms, military fatigues, and costumes resembling traditional Palestinian attire. 'What will you do when you hear them scream? Have you always dreamed of going undercover? Now's your chance to know what it's like to battle undercover,' the homepage reads. Screencap from the Fauda Base website Activities unfold in a fictional setting called 'El Mahmoudiya,' featuring a market, restaurants, and buildings designed to simulate a Palestinian village. A separate "Bedouin village" experience is also offered, advertised as an "authentic" cultural retreat following the mission. Visitors are assigned roles that include mista'arvim agents, 'terrorists,' and civilians. According to HaMakom's investigation, some participants darken their teeth and wear keffiyehs or fake beards to mimic Palestinians. The experience includes elements such as Krav Maga, urban combat training, and target shooting—though the facility insists all weapons are airsoft and no human targets are involved. Despite criticism, Fauda Base operators claim the experience is apolitical and not meant to educate. 'The activity at the Fauda Base is an experiential activity, not an educational one, full of love for the Arabic language and culture which is part of every good mista'arv person,' they said in a statement. Critics argue the facility reinforces dangerous stereotypes and militarizes children in a deeply polarized context. The "Israeli" mista'arvim units have long been controversial; their operations have included assassinations in the middle of Palestinian cities and even deadly raids in hospitals, as occurred in Jenin last year.

Did a leaked report prove Imane Khelif is a biological male?
Published June 2nd, 2025 - 06:21 GMT ALBAWABA - Imane Khelif has once again been targeted on social media after leaked medical reports were released into the public domain, indicating that the Algerian boxing champion is a biological male, according to 3 Wire Sports. This all comes after Khelif sparked widespread controversy for copping the gold medal against Italy's Angela Carini during the 2024 Olympic Games. 36 hours after her win, Khelif was notified that she needed to undergo a sex test if she wanted to partake in future international competitions. On Friday, World Boxing announced a new policy stating that athletes over the age of 18 will have to undergo a sex test. World Boxing has been officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and will supervise boxing in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, as reported by Roya News. The organization wrote in a statement, "Imane Khelif may not participate in the female category at … any World Boxing event until Imane Khelif undergoes genetic sex screening in accordance with World Boxing's rules and testing procedures." 🚨A blood test leaked by Olympic press committee member Alan Abrahamson confirms that Algerian boxer Imane Khelif is male. The test was conducted in 2023 at the request of the IBA, and resulted in Khelif being disqualified from the women's world boxing championship in New Delhi. — REDUXX (@ReduxxMag) June 1, 2025 The document released by 3 Wire Sports indicates that the results came out "abnormal," further stating that the chromosome analysis revealed a "male karyotype." According to the National Institutes of Health, (XY) chromosomes indicate a male karyotype while (XX) is identified as a female karyotype. The test results were done by "Dr Lal PathLabs," a medical laboratory in New Delhi. It was created by the Northfield, Illinois-based College of American Pathologists (CAP) and certified by Switzerland's International Organization for Standardization (ISO). (Dr Lal PathLabs/ Obtained by 3 Wire Sports) While the professional Algerian boxer is yet to release a statement about the issue at hand, she has constantly stood her ground on being a biological woman, despite being subjected to hate and bullying. She said after winning at the 2024 Paris Olympics, "I am a woman, like any other woman. I was born a woman. I have lived as a woman. I compete as a woman." Khelif also stated that she competed in several competitions in the past. However, it was when she started achieving success that the hate campaigns against her were initiated. Since then, she has made several public appearances, including attending the Bottega Veneta fashion show in a mustard-colored dress, and was featured on the cover of Vogue Magazine. © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

While many praised Netflix for doing Chopper justice, several others weren't so keen about the CGI, describing it as "uncanny" and likening it to Sonic's debut into the live-action universe. A social media user on X (formerly known as Twitter) wrote, "I'm gonna be honest.. that's a great live action version!" Another added, "He looks fine... I don't know why people are hating."
