One Piece: Netflix reveals first look at live-action Chopper
ALBAWABA - Netflix is the talk of social media after publishing a new trailer that revealed the live-action version of One Piece's Tony Tony Chopper alongside the actress who will voice him, sparking mixed reactions among anime and manga fans.
While many praised Netflix for doing Chopper justice, several others weren't so keen about the CGI, describing it as "uncanny" and likening it to Sonic's debut into the live-action universe. A social media user on X (formerly known as Twitter) wrote, "I'm gonna be honest.. that's a great live action version!"
Another added, "He looks fine... I don't know why people are hating."
Several others raised the long-running debate about whether animated shows should receive live-action adaptations, claiming that it's a quick and easy cash grab for big corporations like Netflix.
However, the first season of live-action One Piece received high praise among fans for its excellent casting choices, promising visuals (except Arlong), and compelling pacing.

Netflix confirmed that Superman actress Mikaela Hoover will be voicing Chopper. However, many expressed disappointment that Brina Palencia, the English voice actress for Chopper in the One Piece anime, wasn't cast instead. The first-look clip also revealed a 2026 release window, sparking widespread excitement among fans.
It's worth noting that Netflix is also working alongside Japanese animation studio "WiT Studio" to bring fans a remake of the One Piece anime, although Toei's adaptation is still ongoing.

iPhone 17 Pro final design and features leaked
Published August 5th, 2025 - 05:57 GMT ALBAWABA - The design of Apple's next flagship device, the iPhone 17 Pro, has been reportedly leaked on social media, showcasing a rather different approach to the popular smartphone's previous versions. This comes a month before the series' launch in September. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Similar to previous renditions, the iPhone 17 will launch alongside three more phones with a variety of colors to choose from, including Dark Blue, Orange, Grey, Black, and White. Regarding leaked photos on X (formerly Twitter), Apple maintained the rectangular design with rounded edges but introduced a new element in the camera section. The Apple logo will be moved downward alongside a MagSafe cutout to accommodate a new camera island that slightly protrudes from the phone, with the addition of three sensors. — AppleTrack (@appltrack) August 5, 2025 Moreover, Apple is reportedly ditching the titanium-glass design found in the 16 and implementing a new, updated aluminum-glass chassis. For the camera, this is Apple's first attempt to surround it with aluminum, except for the lenses, which will be made out of glass. Out of the three censors featured in the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, the 48MP periscope telephoto sensor marks a significant bump in quality for Apple users who enjoy taking pictures. The newly implemented lens allows users to take photos of distant subjects as if they were closer, allowing them to zoom in while taking photos more than ever before. According to AppleTrack, Apple is also widening the top speaker to reportedly improve its audio quality. The screen will remain the same size for the iPhone 17 Pro and will feature an OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, leaks indicate that the phone might ship with a new anti-glare/scratch coating to protect the screen and for better vision in bright areas, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. Which chip and how much RAM will the iPhone 17 Pro ship with? AppleTrack added that the iPhone 17 Pro might ship with a 5,000 mAh battery or larger, which might or might not be sufficient for a device of this caliber, depending on the user. Last but not least, the upcoming device will reportedly also feature Apple's upcoming A19 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM (double the amount of the 16 Pro and the most RAM ever integrated into an Apple device). © 2000 - 2025 Al Bawaba (

How ‘Supernatural' Carries on Through Its Massive, Dedicated Fanbase - Jordan News
How 'Supernatural' Carries on Through Its Massive, Dedicated Fanbase Ask any former Supernatural actor their reaction when they heard their character was being killed off, and they generally answer with a smile: 'No one really dies on Supernatural.' And neither, it seems, does the show, which has managed to survive long after the final monster-hunting episode aired on November 19, 2020. The 15 seasons live on through syndication, streaming and, of course, in the hearts of millions of fans. اضافة اعلان Indeed, the series continues to find new life from a growing fanbase. With all 327 episodes available on Netflix, a younger generation has been discovering the show. Their allegiance is apparent in the impressive numbers of fans faithfully attending Supernatural conventions across the country and abroad — including Australia, Germany, and the U.K. — where they get to meet the stars, shop for signed photographs from the cast, buy merch and, most meaningfully to many, line up for a personal photo with their favorites. Other perks have included group karaoke, mini golf with cast members, and rocking out on Saturday nights with Louden Swain, a band fronted by God (a.k.a. actor Rob Benedict) and a revolving roster of the show's former castmates. All this fun does not come cheap. At Creation Entertainment's May 16-18, 2025, convention 'The Road So Far…The Road Ahead: Celebrating 20 Years of SPN' in Secaucus, New Jersey, visited by TV Guide Magazine, fans were delighted to spend roughly $1,000 to secure a gold pass that covered all three days and admission to every event, including a special VIP Q&A with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, who played beloved brothers Sam and Dean Winchester. Other popular genre shows like Doctor Who, Star Trek, and The Walking Dead draw crowds to conventions with attendees often paying tribute with elaborate cosplay. For Supernatural, though, it's not about imitation but about feeling part of the SPN family, as fans call themselves. 'That face-to-face interaction has created more reciprocal relationships than any other fandom enjoys,' says Lynn Zubernis, a psychologist and university professor who has edited several books on the show's appeal. Alabama's Stephanie Gentry was another legacy fan. 'Supernatural was my dad's favorite show,' she says. 'When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we got him passes to a con, but he passed away three weeks before the event.' Despite her pain, her mom urged her to go; she did and has since kept coming back. 'I feel like my dad led me to having all these new friends,' she says. 'I've done 14 conventions because I love the show, the cast and all my friends here.' Fans and actors alike would be thrilled to see a new limited series or a movie, which Ackles and Padalecki have publicly mused about, especially since Netflix will drop Supernatural in December after their five-year contract ends. Whether there are any original episodes in the future or a new bingeing life on another streamer, it's safe to say that the fans — and the dedicated cast — will carry on. tv insider

Trump responds to Sydney Sweeney's 'Great Jeans' Ad and her Republican stance
ALBAWABA - In a new short interview, US President Donald Trump responded to the controversial Sydney Sweeney "Great Jeans" American Eagle ad campaign after the reporter asked him about the popular actress's political party. Also Read Sydney Sweeney 'Great Jeans' Ad slammed as tone-deaf and racist The reporter said, as shared by Rapid Response 47 on X (formerly known as Twitter), "Actress Sydney Sweeney, it came out this weekend that she's a registered Republican." Trump responded, "You'd be surprised at how many people are Republicans ... I'm glad you told me that. If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic!" Sydney Sweeney joins the TRUMP Train 🚂💨 — TrumpMeme (@GetTrumpMemes) August 4, 2025 The American Eagle ad campaign, featuring the slogan "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans," stirred controversy on social media, with many users pointing out the reported misintended racist meaning behind it and its link to eugenics. A social media user wrote, "I don't like the Sydney Sweeney jeans ad; it makes me wonder why we're promoting eugenics when the country is in such bad shape. NO, I don't want your genes." Another added, "Maybe I'm too f*cking woke, but getting a blonde, blue-eyed white woman and basing your campaign on the idea that she has perfect genes seems strange, especially given how things are in America right now." The ad campaign was also used to raise money and awareness for a domestic violence organization by incorporating a Crisis Text Line into it. However, many social media users deemed the ad tone-deaf due to Sweeney's revealing outfit. An X user wrote, "Can't believe she even has to oversexualize domestic violence..."
