Rider's heartbreaking social media post hours before he died in Oulton Park crash

Owen Jenner, 21, was one of two riders to suffer fatal injuries after the 11-bike crash on the first lap of the British Supersport Championship race at Oulton Park on Monday.
The heartbreaking social media post from Owen Jenner excited for what the day would bring, before tragedy struck in a fatal 11-bike crash at Oulton Park has been revealed.
Jenner, 21, and Shane Richardson, 29, sustained fatal injuries in what is being called a 'catastrophic accident' during a British Supersport Championship race on Monday, reports the Mirror.

In a story on Instagram on Monday morning, Jenner posted an image of him riding, with the caption: "P13 yesterday, see what today brings." And another on the side of the race track, captioned: "Back on the Grid".

The chain reaction incident, involving 11 riders happened on turn one of the first lap, with emergency assistance provided and racing abandoned for the day. Paramedics were on the scene treating those involved with a joint statement from British Superbikes and MotorSport Vision Racing later confirming two tragic deaths, including Owen Jenner and Shane Richardson, and injuries to six more riders.
The statement read: "At the start of this afternoon's Quattro Group British Supersport Championship race at Oulton Park, exiting turn one, Old Hall corner on the first lap, there was a chain reaction incident involving 11 riders falling. The race was immediately stopped and trackside medical services deployed.
"Due to the extreme severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship event was cancelled.
"This catastrophic accident has tragically resulted in two riders being fatally injured, and another sustaining significant injuries.
"Owen Jenner (21) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre, where despite further resuscitation treatment, he died from a catastrophic head injury.

"Shane Richardson (29) was initially treated trackside and then taken to the circuit medical centre before being transferred to Royal Stoke University Hospital with severe chest injuries. He died prior to arrival."
Tributes have been pouring in across social media for both riders, with hundreds of comments on Jenner and Richardson's most recent posts. Honda Racing, who have a team in the Supersport championship, have added their tribute to the riders involved in Monday's incident.

They said in a statement: "The motorcycle community is tightly knit and we share the profound sadness at the outcome of today's accident at Oulton Park. Our thoughts are with the riders, their families, friends, team members and the entire BSB paddock. We go through days like this as one community."
Mat Oxley, a former Isle of Man TT champion, has paid tribute to the two riders who have tragically lost their lives.

Oxley said: "There are times when you hate yourself for loving motorcycle racing and this is one of them. RIP Owen Jenner & Shane Richardson, who lost their lives at Oulton today. Thoughts with their friends & loved ones & everyone involved in this horrific incident."
Tom Tunstall suffered significant back and abdominal injuries in the crash, while another five riders; Carl Harris, Max Morgan, Cameron Hall, Freddie Barnes and Morgan McLaren-Wood suffered minor injuries. Lewis Jones, Corey Tinker and George Edwards were uninjured.
Cheshire Police have since confirmed they are investigating the incident on behalf of the coroner. "Police are investigating two deaths on behalf of the coroner following a multiple collision at Oulton Park this afternoon (Monday 5 May)m" the statement reads.
"Emergency services were called to the scene following the collision which resulted in two riders being fatally injured and another with serious injuries. Due to the severity of the incident and ongoing medical intervention, the remainder of the event was cancelled.
"The two riders who sadly died have been named as Owen Jenner (21) and Shane Richardson (29). The Motorcycle Circuit Racing Control Board and MotorSport Vision Racing are investigating the full circumstances of the incident in conjunction with the Coroner and Cheshire Police."
