Sana'a mayor, first undersecretary inspect summer courses in al-Safia, al-Sabeen districts
Sana'a - Saba:
Mayor of the Capital Dr. Hamoud Uad and Capital Sana'a First undersecretary Mayor Khaled al-Madani on Saturday conducted an inspection of the summer courses underway in al-Safia and Al-Sabeen districts.
Accompanied by heads of the Social Affairs and Planning Committees in the Capital Sana'a Hamoud al-Naqeeb and Sharaf al-Hadi respectively, as well as Yahya Abu Awada from the Ansarullah Executive Office, and Abdulqader al-Mahdi, head of the Education Sector in the Capital Sana'a, Ubad and al-Madani reviewed the educational and cultural activities and various programs at the Martyr Leader, Badr al-Alami, al-Zahraa, and Basmat Watan schools.
They were briefed by the directors of the summer schools, in the presence of the Director of al-Safia district, Saleh al-Maysari, and the Secretary of the Seventy-Sixth District, Mohammed al-Sadiq, on the activities being offered to students. These primarily focus on the Holy Quran and its sciences, scientific, technical, and sports fields, and included examples of students' creativity in Quranic recitation, poetry, and public speaking.
Ubad and al-Madani emphasized the vital role of summer courses and schools in nurturing and educating children with a strong faith-based foundation, developing their abilities and skills, honing their talents in various creative areas, and promoting a strong faith-based identity and Quranic culture.
They highlighted the importance of these courses in safeguarding students and youth from the "soft war" and "false cultures" through which the nation's enemies aim to target the rising generations, infiltrate them through various means of deviation, and strip them of their identity, religious teachings, and Islamic morals.
They urged parents across the Capital Secretariat's districts to encourage their children to enroll in these summer schools to benefit from the diverse activities and programs designed to provide them with valuable knowledge and build their capacities.
Al-Madi explained that summer schools play a crucial role in instilling Quranic culture and faith identity in students and youth, protecting them from idleness and wasted time during the summer break.
He commended the efforts and engagement of official and community leaders, their interest in the summer activities and courses, and their recognition of the importance of these programs in building a generation equipped with knowledge and learning, committed to the Holy Quran and their faith identity.
