Disney fan, 58, who SOBBED at seeing Mickey Mouse opens up about emotional moment: 'I forgot I was an adult'

Daily Maila day ago
Meeting their dream character at Disney World can certainly be exciting and even overwhelming for young kids, and it's completely normal for them to get emotional in the moment.
But what about adults? One 58-year-old woman recently sparked a conversation about the topic after she broke down in tears while chatting with Mickey Mouse at the beloved theme park.
Tracy M Sommer, from Mohawk, New York, was visiting the Happiest Place on Earth with daughter Savannah when they decided to get in line for the Minnie and Mickey meet and greet.
As a long time Disney fan she knew the moment would be special, but never expected to get emotional.
She told the Daily Mail that as she was waiting for her turn she began remembering her first family vacation to Disney with her own parents decades prior, when she was only 10 years old, and started missing them intensely.
Memories of her and her daughters watching Disney movies together when they were younger also came flooding back to her.
Upon walking into the room and seeing the characters, she became 'overwhelmed with emotions' and started shedding 'happy tears.'
'When I met Mickey I knew he was not real but for those few minutes every good and painful memory left and I said, 'Thank you Mickey I finally got to meet you,' and I cried,' she said of the moment to the Daily Mail.
'Mickey and Minnie were so comforting with their hugs and gestures. I got caught up in the moment and forgot I was an adult. It was a special healing moment for me.'
Afterwards, Savannah took a short video of Tracy reflecting on the moment while on the phone with her husband, John, and uploaded it to her Instagram, where it went viral.
'The magic of Disney at every age. So thankful I got to experience this moment with my momma! Makes me cry still. Thank you @disneyparks,' she captioned it.
'Smiling because moments like this remind me that it's my mom's first time living too,' she added in a text overlay on the video. 'I feel blessed to be a part of it.'
In the clip, a clearly emotional Tracy could be heard talking on the phone to her husband.
'I finally met Mickey,' she said between sobs, as he responded, 'Are you crying?'
'A little bit, I know it's stupid that I'm crying, and I'm 58 years old,' Tracy added as she wiped away tears.
'It's not stupid,' Savannah interjected. 'That's the magic of Disney at every age.'
Tracy told the Daily Mail that Disney was especially important to her family because her eldest daughter Kaylee became seriously ill as a child and watched a ton of Disney films while she was healing.
'We almost lost her. But Disney helped her heal,' she explained.
The video got over 77,000 views and hundreds of Instagram users rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts.
Most people were moved by the 'sweet' moment and praised Disney for spreading the magic for people of all ages.
In response to those who may judge her emotional response, Tracy pointed out that all adults have 'an inner child.'
'I am sure that some people might think it's immature of me but I am humbled and blessed by the comments of so many who felt the same way,' she said.
'I truly feel every adult has an inner child... The world is a tough place and characters make people happy. Disney will always be special to me.'

Myleene Klass' ex hits back at cheating claim and says he hasn't seen kids in years

Graham Quinn, the ex-husband of Myleene Klass, has hit back at claims he cheated on the former Hear'Say singer. Pals of Graham Quinn have struck back at allegations he was unfaithful to his former partner Myleene Klass. The couple parted ways in 2013, but now over a decade later, discussion surrounding Myleene's past romance with the security boss has emerged once again. ‌ The singer-turned-television star has claimed she discovered him being unfaithful with a prominent celebrity, with the supposed liaison allegedly taking place shortly before they wed in 2011. ‌ Myleene, 47, rose to prominence following her appearance on reality programme Popstars before joining the group Hear'Say. During a podcast appearance, the Loose Women regular alleged she stumbled upon Graham and the mystery woman "unzipping each other" on the balcony during her birthday celebrations. ‌ A mate close to the father-of-two told the Daily Mail: "Gray is a private person and is happy leading a quiet life. Despite being fed up to the back teeth with Myleene, he's not going to dignify these fantasies with a response. He thinks she's a bully." The pal informed the newspaper they believed the timing of revealing her claim was "vindictive and calculated", coming during the week of his 51st birthday, reports the Mirror. ‌ The friend added: "She knew what she was doing. That woman will do anything for attention and once again she has dragged Gray's name through the mud to get it." Myleene and Graham are parents to two daughters - Ava, 17, and Hero, 13. Whilst Graham has remained tight-lipped about his alleged infidelity, he has recently opened up about being estranged from his children for years. ‌ Graham, who is currently based in Ibiza for work, told Fathers4Justice in a recent piece: "I haven't seen my kids in years." He went on: "I've thrown so much more money at it [trying to see his daughters] and I can't afford much more. I've spent £20,000 and am probably further away from them now than I've ever been. It's like banging my head against a brick wall. I've missed so many birthdays and Christmas days. I'll never get that back." ‌ He also claimed that his parents and other relatives have been cut off from the children as well. During their marriage breakdown, Graham stated that Myleene attempted to suggest her finances were left in tatters during their divorce proceedings. However, Graham now maintains he walked away empty-handed from any settlement. He claimed: "I got no financial settlement at all. All I got from the sale of the house was the money I'd put in. In fact, we sold it at a loss. My eldest used to say to me, 'daddy, did you take all of Mummy's pennies?' and I'd have to explain no. She got the easiest divorce ever. My lawyer at the time said I could've demanded a lot more, but I didn't want to. It would be taking away from my daughters." The Mirror has contacted Myleene for comment.

Kylie Kelce reveals most 'terrifying' part of her meteoric rise to fame

Kylie Kelce has admitted it was 'terrifying' to open herself up to the public when her wildly successful podcast launched back in November. The wife of retired NFL star Jason Kelce, and brother-in-law to Travis, started her 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast back in November. It has proven to be a major hit with the show, at one point, surpassing Joe Rogan 's dominant podcast as No. 1 on both Spotify and Apple. Kylie has welcomed several high-profile guests to the show, including Michelle Obama, Kelly Clarkson, Ed Sheeran and Erin Andrews. Interest in the Kelce family has gone through the roof in recent years, dating back to when Jason and Travis played each other in the Super Bowl. Travis' relationship with Taylor Swift then turned them all into household names. In an interview with People, Kylie admitted it was 'terrifying' opening up her life to listeners but is proud of putting the interest in her famous family to good use. She said: 'My main focus is the theme that it's always been, which is if you're going to have to talk about me, you should talk about things that matter. So it's so exciting to have the podcast. I'm so excited to make the connection with women, with women in sports, with moms. 'I feel so fortunate to be in the position that I'm in, but I'm super happy that I get to do things like partnering with Dove and still doing work with the Eagles Autism Foundation and doing things that really truly speak to my soul and my heart. 'Those are the things that matter and those are the things that should be taking up space and those are the things that should be in front of everyone, so that's what I'm going to continue to do. 'I'm letting people in a little bit by talking about our lives and other stuff on the podcast and our experience day-to-day, [but] at the end of the day, these are the things that truly matter and these are the things I'm so grateful to get to be a part of.' It comes at the end of a sad week for the Kelce family after they attended the funeral of Ed Kelce's longtime girlfriend Maureen Maguire on Thursday. Pictures exclusively taken by the Daily Mail showed the likes of Jason and Kylie attending the small family service in Gladwyne, Pennsylvania on August 7. Jason and Kyle made the short trip within their home state, arriving five minutes before the start of the service, suited and booted and with a Starbucks in hand. The 37-year-old Jason appeared downcast as he arrived with wearing a light-colored shirt, dark tie and slacks with wife Kylie dressed in a simple knee-length black shift dress and strappy heels. The celebrity couple – who live a short drive from the church in a $6 million mega mansion in the wealthy suburb of Haverford, Pennsylvania - were among the last to join the line of mourners filing through the front doors of the church to say farewell to the partner of the Kelce patriarch, who died last Friday aged 74.

Kim Kardashian's ex-pal Larsa Pippen, 50, denies plastic surgery rumors after debuting shocking transformation

Kim Kardashian 's former friend Larsa Pippen has shut down plastic surgery rumors after she debuted a shocking transformation. The Real Housewives Of Miami star, 50, seemed puffier than usual during a segment of Good Night New York on Wednesday evening. Immediately, speculation began to swirl that she had gone under the knife and gotten work done to her face. But now, she has addressed the theories, and insisted that she did not get any plastic surgery. She claimed that an 'allergic reaction' to a beauty treatment was to blame for her new look. After one doctor posted a video to Instagram accusing Larsa of 'questionable surgery choices,' the reality star fired back in the comment section. 'Honey I had PRP and had an allergic reaction so chill out,' she wrote. PRP injections, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, 'uses a patient's own blood cells to accelerate healing in a specific area,' per 'After creating platelet-rich plasma from a patient's blood sample, that solution is injected into the target are,' the site says. 'PRP injections are sometimes used as an anti-aging treatment, but there is little evidence to show that PRP reduces wrinkles and other signs of aging.' 'Hey guys, you can relax, I had PRP on my face a couple of days ago, so my face is a bit swollen but it looks like I'm coming down,' Larsa also said in a video shared to her Instagram Stories. 'So you guys can just calm down.' Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Kahn told the Daily Mail earlier this week that he believed Larsa had fillers and Botox on her face. 'It looks like she has gotten some fresh fillers for summer,' he said. 'Her lips are swollen so she likely had plenty of filler on both the top and bottom lips for a fuller feeling. 'It is also likely she had Botox on her forehead because there is not one line, even when she smiles.' Larsa was beautifully made up for the TV appearance and donned a sleeveless floral-print dress She was with her much-younger boyfriend Jeff Coby who doted on his lady love. The reality TV diva started dating the Haitian-American basketball player, 31, earlier this year following her split from Marcus Jordan, 34. Despite only knowing each other for a short time, the couple are moving full steam ahead as they revealed in May that they had already been discussing engagement rings. At the time, Coby told Us Weekly, 'We're both super busy at the moment - the only thing I can say is to confirm that [a proposal is] coming.' Soon after, he told TMZ that they planned to wed in November 2026, but that he still hadn't proposed. During her Wednesday appearance in NYC, Larsa notably had a diamond ring on her wedding finger. Larsa was previously married to NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen from 1997 to 2021; the couple shares four kids: Scotty Jr., 24, Preston, 22, Justin, 19, and Sophia, 16. Larsa then had an on-again, off-again relationship with Marcus, the son of NBA legend and Chicago Bulls teammate of Scottie's, Michael Jordan. They dated for two years before calling it quits in March 2024.
