Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 Confirmed; Huma Qureshi To Play Female Lead? Deets Inside
Khosla Ka Ghosla, starring Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey, and Parvin Dabas, is one of the most loved movies, and its slow success surprised everyone, eventually earning it cult status. The film even won a National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi at the 54th National Film Awards. Now, it looks like there's some happy news for movie lovers—a report states that the makers have planned a prequel to the film.
Yes, you read it right! As per a report in Pinkvilla, the makers have finally locked the script, and Umesh Bisht, along with his team, is planning to kickstart the shoot by the end of 2025. The portal quoted a source saying, 'Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 script is locked and is presently in the casting stage. The team is aiming to start by November this year, for a 2026 release. Much like the first part, this one too is an outright comic entertainer."
Well, that's not all. The report also claimed that the team has already locked its leading lady, and it's none other than Huma Qureshi. 'Huma has come on board as one of the main characters of Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. She heard the script and loved what is on paper. The film will most likely be produced by T-Series, and the modalities are being worked out at the moment," the source added. While an official announcement is still awaited, it is said that Anupam Kher and Boman Irani are also involved in the making of the film.
Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi's upcoming film Bayaan has earned a prestigious spot at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festiva l. It will be showcased in the Discovery Section, and notably, it's the only Indian film to be selected in that category this year. Directed by Bikas Ranjan Mishra, Bayaan is a gripping police thriller that follows a woman entangled in a system steeped in power dynamics, religious overtones, and institutional silence. Huma takes on a challenging lead role that reflects her continued shift toward intense, socially rooted narratives.
The film also features seasoned actors Chandrachur Singh and Sachin Khedekar in pivotal roles.

Woman secretly records Rapido driver, body shames him; viral post sparks outrage online
A video circulating on social media has sparked widespread outrage after a woman secretly filmed her Rapido driver and body-shamed him, leading to outrage online. In the clip, which has now gone viral, the woman claimed she was forced to cancel her Rapido ride because there wasn't enough space for her to sit. She alleged that the rider was occupying too much space and also had a large backpack, which left her with no room to ride pillion. Without informing the rider, the woman filmed him from behind and mocked his appearance. Speaking in Hindi, she said, 'Rapido wala bulaya, Rapido wala dekh rahe ho? Main chupke video bana rahi hoon, jyada offend na ho jaye, but main kaha baithungee? Koi mujhe batayega, b**od..' While she claimed she didn't want to offend the driver, social media users pointed out the hypocrisy and condemned the woman for body-shaming and violating the man's privacy by recording him without his consent. The video has triggered a wave of angry responses online. Many users called out the woman's insensitivity and pointed out that mocking someone's body type, especially a stranger at work, is unacceptable. One user wrote, 'She thinks that shaming a hardworking, honest man is good. She could have simply cancelled the ride, but she chose to record a video and mocked him online in front of millions." Another commented, 'It's really disheartening to see someone go out of their way to shame a hardworking person just trying to do their job. If she had an issue, canceling the ride would've been enough. But choosing to record and mock him publicly in front of millions? That says more about her than him. We should uplift honesty and hard work—not humiliate it.' Several users also raised privacy concerns, with one post reading, 'Recording someone without consent and then shaming them on social media should be taken seriously.'
