WWE: Naomi announces pregnancy, vacates Women's World Championship
Naomi, on Monday, was introduced to the ring and became emotional before speaking as the crowd chanted her name.
The champ directed the audience to the big screen, where she showed a clip from the WWE podcast What's Your Story, hosted by Stephanie McMahon. Naomi, in the clip, announces she is expecting her first child with her husband and fellow WWE star, Jimmy Uso.
Naomi was congratulated by the crowd and by Raw general manager Adam Pearce before she quickly turned back on her villainous persona. Naomi demanded Pearce leave the ring and stated she will not be handing him the Women's World Championship.
"All the women back there, y'all should be thanking one person. They should be thanking Big Jim because without him y'all know y'all wouldn't have a chance at taking this title off of me. I was about to walk y'all like a dog all year long. I was gonna put you helpers in the ground," Naomi said.
Naomi, instead of handing her title to Pearce, laid down the Women's World Championship in the middle of the ring and said she would return to take it back, even if she has a baby in her arms.
Naomi recently won the Women's World Championship in July at WWE Evolution, where she successfully cashed in her Money in the Bank contract during Iyo Sky's match with Rhea Ripley.
Naomi then successfully defended her title against both Sky and Ripley in a Triple Threat match at SummerSlam on Aug. 3.

Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Capcom has released a trailer for Resident Evil Requiem that provides a backstory for new protagonist Grace Ashcroft. The preview opens with Grace speaking with her mother, journalist Alyssa Ashcroft, inside their hotel room when the pair receive a mysterious phone call. Alyssa was a character in 2003's Resident Evil Outbreak. The power in the hotel goes out, making Alyssa realize they are in trouble. The trailer then switches to a brief gameplay segment as Grace follows her mother through the dark hallways of the hotel. The pair encounter a friendly hotel manager, who is quickly killed by a hooded, pale-skinned man. The trailer ends with Grace and Alyssa continuing on before Alyssa is seemingly attacked. An older Grace appeared in the first trailer for Resident Evil Requiem, where she was shown as an FBI agent working a case. Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth entry in the mainline Resident Evil video game series, comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S and PC on Feb. 27, 2026.

MTV and Paramount+ confirmed in a press release Wednesday that they renewed the drag competition series. In addition, Drag Race Season 18 and All Stars Season 11 will each be accompanied by new episodes of the Untucked after-show. "We want to express our gratitude to Paramount for their unwavering support of the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise as we celebrate more seasons of spreading joy and and laughter," World of Wonder co-founders and executive producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said. Drag Race Season 18 will air on MTV. Season 17 had the show's highest-rated premiere in seven years and concluded with Onya Nurve becoming the first Cleveland, Ohio, queen to be named America's Next Drag Superstar. All Stars Season 11 will stream on Paramount+. Season 10 featured the first-ever Tournament of All Stars, which ended with Ginger Minj earning a spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
