Karan Tacker: My journey in Khakee brought me closer to the grit, humanity behind the uniform
During the shoot of Khakee, Karan met Amit Lodha, the real-life police officer whose memoir inspired the series.
'Playing a cop wasn't just a role; it was an education,' says Karan.
He added: 'Through the shoot, I gained immense insight and respect for the hard work that goes into this job — from enforcing the law to protecting people in moments of chaos.'
On social media, Karan shared a note, which read: 'Every Independence Day, we remember with gratitude those who gave us our freedom and rightly so. But this day is also a chance to celebrate those who, through sheer courage and relentless duty, protect that freedom every single day.'

The upcoming show explores the eerie and fascinating events surrounding Gaurav Tiwari's life and career.
A real-life paranormal investigator, Tiwari devoted his life to unraveling the mysteries of the unseen, with his story filled with eerie encounters and chilling revelations. Now, in "Bhay," his journey comes to life on screen, as Karan takes on the role, bringing Tiwari's legacy and spine-tingling experiences to the forefront.
'Bhay' is touted to be based on real events, following the life and findings of the late Gaurav Tiwari, India's most renowned paranormal investigator. The series also stars Kalki Koechlin, Danish Sood, and Saloni Batra.
Talking to IANS about Bhay, Karan had previously said: 'Bhay is the most exciting project of mine till date. It's the most aspirational project I have done. I don't think people have seen me in this light at all. It deals with the story of Gaurav Tiwari.'
'He had the most glorified career as a paranormal investigator of India. He passed away in a very unfortunate way so it is our understanding and take on it.'

Kangana Ranaut says only losers use dating apps, calls them gutter of society
Actor and politician Kangana Ranaut recently expressed strong opinions against dating apps and people who use them. She described dating apps as "the true 'gutter' of our society." The actor went on to criticise the practice of looking for partners on dating apps as "a neech (lower) thing to do."In an interview with Hauterrfly, the 'Tanu Weds Manu' actor said, "I have never wanted to be on dating apps. That is the true 'gutter' of our society. Everybody has a need, be it financial, physical, or anything else... Every woman and man have needs, but how do we address them? That is the question. War 2 box office collection day 2 (updated live): Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR film finally beats Coolie; set for bumper I-Day
After what was called a subpar opening day, Ayan Mukerji's War 2 has picked up pace at the box office on its second day i.e. Friday, August 15. Buoyed by the Independence Day holiday, the film has taken its total collections close to ₹100 crore. According to Sacnilk, by 5 pm on Friday, War 2 had earned ₹32 crore in India on day 2. This included ₹29 crore in Hindi and ₹23.25 crore in Telugu. While a ₹50+ crore opening is normally celebrated in Indian cinema, this was not the case for War 2. For starters, it failed to surpass the ₹53 crore opening of part 1. Then, many trade analysts felt that the combined stardom of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR ought to have landed the film a much higher figure, closer to ₹75 crore if not ₹100 crore. But War 2 recovered well on day 2, adding ₹32 crore by 5 pm on Friday, taking the overall India collection over ₹83 crore. The way the film is adding money every hour, it should breach the ₹100 crore mark by the end of the day. If War 2 manages to avoid a dip on Independence Day, it should count the day as successful, given that the reviews have been lukewarm, and South stars' films do see big dips on second days. But what has been truly promising for War 2 is that it has outpaced Rajinikanth's Coolie on day 2. By 5 pm, Coolie had earned just ₹26 crore. About War 2 War 2 is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is part of the YRF Spy Universe, which also includes Tiger films and Pathaan. The film's post-credits scene introduced Bobby Deol, setting up the next chapter of the Spyverse - Alpha, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. War 2 also stars Kiara Advani and Ashutosh Rana in key roles. The film, which has been mounted on a massive budget of over ₹300 crore, would need to sustain its momentum at the box office to earn the right to be called a hit.
