Netflix fans left speechless at newly released Squid Game Season 3 trailer
Netflix have confirmed the release date of the third and final season of Squid Game with the release of a jaw dropping teaser trailer which has left fans with "no words".
Netflix fans are waiting in anticipation for the third and final season of Squid Game with the newly released trailer teasing viewers with a first glimpse of what is yet to come after season two's cliff-hanger ending. The thrilling South Korean series, which remains the streaming platform's most popular show to date, is set to drop its next season this summer on June 27.
Squid Game season two broke multiple records on when it was released in December 2024. It broke the record for the most viewed show in its premiere week alone and entered the Most Popular Non-English TV list within just three days, with the season currently ranked in second spot with 192.6m views, topped by Season 1's 265.2m views.
The second season also became the third most-watched season on Netflix in history, proving the franchise's global impact. Picking up from where the show ended last year, season 3 sees main character Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), played by Lee Jung-jae, thrown back into the brutal games as he is determined to destroy them once and for all.
Still distraught by the betrayal and loss of his closest friend, Jung Bae (Player 390), Gi-hun faces new dangers including the Front Man who infiltrated their rebellion disguised as Player 001.
The newly unveiled teaser trailer, which has also been uploaded to Netflix's official Instagram page, opens with pink guards carrying a black coffin which the guards use to hold the bodies of the fallen players.
Curious to see what's inside, the players approach and open the box, revealing Gi-hun inside it. As he opens his eyes, viewers are transported to the beginning of a new game.
The screen skips to a massive gumball machine dispensing red and blue balls which represents the fates that will determine the next challenge.
Familiar faces return for the third season including The Front Man and detective Hwang Jun-Ho. The following players are also set to return: Myung-gi (Player 333), Dae-ho (Player 388), Hyun-ju (Player 120), Yong-sik (Player 007), Geum-ja (Player 149), Jun-hee (Player 222), Min-su (Player 125), Nam-gyu (Player 124), and the pink guard No-eul.
As suspense builds in the final moments of the sneak peak trailer, the mysterious cry of a baby can be heard.
The official poster for the new season shows Gi-hun standing amidst a sea of black coffins tied with pink ribbons. He can be seen looking upwards with a defiant expression on his face.
The release of the trailer has left fans buzzing with excitement as they can't wait to see how the show concludes."
Giving their thoughts on Netflix's Instagram page, one fan wrote: "Incredibleeee I have no words! I need it to come out now!"
Another Squid Game enthusiast questioned: "Am I going to survive this?" A third wrote: "Omg!!! the anticipation."

Ballet make-up in particular has long drawn on the art of contouring to emphasise character traits in productions. Nonetheless, a decade ago that candid snap spread like wildfire, igniting a whole new generation of beauty buffs intent on snatching everything from their cheekbones to their décolletages, legs and noses. Nose contouring especially is enjoying a revival at the moment, with 34.2K TikTok tutorials dedicated to mastering the art. The latest viral nose contouring video to blow up our feeds is all about lifting - so can you really paint on a nose job in seconds? With a cool 5.4 million views and counting, the video sees beauty content creator @velabeauty draw up what she calls a 'lifted nose contour'. Inspired by TikToker @kittyprincessgat, using the E.l.f Cosmetics Halo Glow Contour Beauty Wand, £9, the lifted look begins with two dots of contour at the base of the nose near the nostrils, followed by a horizontal line over the tip of the nose and two lines painted down the bridge, before everything is carefully and thoroughly blended out with fingertips. The results are impressive and @kittyprincessgat even questions, 'is this nose catfishing?' From lines to dots, circles and crosses, in the last few years we've seen a real evolution of nose contouring hacks crafted to alter the look of our noses with a few quick swipes. Some rather niche methods - presumably produced to pick up views on TikTok - have promoted using tweezers, bobby pins and forks to take the guesswork out of product placement. As someone who contours her nose every day, I can attest to its transformative powers. Before getting a liquid nose job, I looked to contouring to help me define and lift my nose shape. Even thought I unapologetically adore my post-filler nose, I still never consider my make-up routine complete without a little Kim-Kardashian-style contouring. 'Nose contouring is all about defining the nose,' says make-up artist and Grazia Beauty Panel member, Lan Nguyen-Grealis. 'You can create the illusion of more symmetry (if that's your MO) with make-up. It's standard practice with a lot of my clients and it's a long-practiced way of balancing features where there's the desire to do so.' When picking the right products to contour with, Nguyen-Grealis advises sticking to cream sticks and powder that are 'no more than two shades darker than your skin tone and they should have taupe undertones rather than orange'. As for highlighting, again use a cream stick or powder that is one to two shades lighter than your skin tone. Highlight: Using a concealer or highlighter apply straight down your nose bone in the centre and dot it at the highest point of the tip of your nose. Here's Where You've Seen The Cast Of Ginny And Georgia Before
Our favourite mother-daughter duo Ginny and Georgia have returned to our screens for a third season, and this time around it's as addictive as ever. As with previous seasons, we can expect plenty more mouther-daughter conflicts, flirting, sex, amazing houses and, of course, murder. 'Season 3 is our most ambitious and explosive season yet,' the show's creator Sarah Lampert old Netflix's Tudum. 'Going into it, we knew our core driving force isn't the plot twists and turns, but the emotional truth of these two women. We care about these characters, they are messy and complicated and real, and that's why we're invested in the wild season they're about to go through.' Season three picks up after Georgia was arrested over the killing of Tom Fuller, and deals with Georgia's murder trial. Everything is turned upside down in Georgia's world as the season wears on, and she begins to prepare for a life in prison. But the end of Episode nine throws all of that into question... Georgia in the present day is played by Brianne Howey. She is best known for her role as Georgia, but since the series launched in 2021 she's also starred as 'Molly Turner' in the Farrelly brothers holiday comedy Dear Santa and as Happy Madison in the Netflix film Kinda Pregnant. Speaking about her character in this season, Howey told Netflix's Tudum 'Georgia is definitely pushed to her limits this season, and she has to survive scenarios she's never had to survive before'' continuing 'Georgia now has to be a survivor with less masks because all of her secrets are out.' Troubled teenager Ginny is played by Antonia Gentry. She is also best known for her role in Ginny and Georgia, although in 2018, she played Jasmine in the romantic comedy feature film Candy Jar. She also has a starring role in the 2024 coming of age comedy Prom Dates. This season, Gentry told Tudum that 'We were able to see a new side of Ginny where she's really coming into her own, and accepting her decisions and standing by them, and making hard choices, but not being riddled with guilt or shame.' Matt Press, often referred to as just 'press' in the show, is played by Canadian born actor Damian Romeo. He started acting around the age of 9, and performed in theatre, cementing his lifelong desire to become an actor. He was described as a 'jerk' on the first two series, and it seems this time around is no different. According to Netflix, we can expect to see more 'taunting remarks' to Ginny about her mum's arrest, and mistreating Abby. PI Gabriel Cordova is a private investigator hired to surveil Georgia, who becomes Nick's boyfriend while undercover as 'Jesse.' He's played by Filipino-Canadian actor Alex Mallari Jr, who is best known for his roles in the TV series Dark Matter and the film The Adam Project alongside Ginny and Georgia. According to Netflix, this season will see Cordova shed his false identity, while his 'vendetta amps up' during Georgia's trial.
