Erin Blanchfield reacts to canceled UFC Vegas 107 bout
Blanchfield, also a top-five contender in the UFC women's flyweight rankings, expressed disappointment in the aftermath of the canceled main event. Hours earlier, she had publicly questioned whether Barber would follow through with the fight.
In her own post-fight remarks, Blanchfield criticized Barber's professionalism, referencing Barber's earlier failure to make weight. Barber missed the flyweight limit by 1.5 pounds during weigh-ins, the first time in her UFC career she failed to hit the target.
Blanchfield declined to commit to an immediate rescheduling of the fight. She instead encouraged Barber to consider a permanent move to the bantamweight division. UFC officials have not confirmed whether the bout will be rebooked.

UFC Vegas 107 fight week marred by cancellations and weight misses
The cancellation of the Barber vs. Blanchfield headliner capped a tumultuous UFC Vegas 107 fight week. Multiple fighters failed to make weight, including Allan Nascimento, who went on to defeat Jafel Filho by unanimous decision.
Another scheduled bout between welterweights Andreas Gustafsson and Trevin Giles was canceled after Giles reportedly sustained a head injury while cutting weight. Gustafsson has since been rescheduled to face Khaos Williams at UFC 316 in Newark.
Barber had been set to make her first appearance since defeating former title challenger Katlyn Cerminara at UFC 299. Her withdrawal marked one of the most abrupt main event cancellations in recent UFC history.

Edmonton Oilers Jake Walman's random act of kindness wins hearts ahead of Stanley Cup final

Photo byWhat started as a routine trip to pick up essentials quickly became a memory the Stephens family will never forget. While running errands with their three kids, the Stephens family happened upon an unexpected surprise in the trading card aisle—Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman, casually browsing like any other shopper. The chance encounter turned magical as Walman not only chatted with the kids about hockey and video games but surprised them with gifts—transforming a regular Friday into something straight out of a feel-good sports movie. Edmonton Oilers defenseman Jake Walman buys trading cards for young fans in Sherwood Park Adam and Angela Stephens, along with their three children—Luke (9), Jake (7), and Emma (5)—were simply out shopping when their boys convinced them to swing by the trading card section. That's where they met Walman, who was browsing through cards himself. 'I was just kind of wandering around the store,' Adam told 'And there is Jake Walman picking up a tin of cards. He was just waiting and he started up a conversation, just being a nice guy.' Walman, a known Pokémon fan, noticed the kids looking through the hockey cards and asked if they were Oilers supporters. When they answered yes and shared their favorite players—Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl—Walman playfully asked if they had heard of Jake Walman. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy Brass Idols - Handmade Brass Statues for Home & Gifting Luxeartisanship Buy Now Undo 'My son said, 'My dad loves him, he was so happy when they traded for him,'' Adam recalled. What followed was a 10-minute conversation covering everything from Pokémon and Minecraft to, of course, hockey. With their parents' approval, Walman offered to buy each child a box of cards. For young Emma, who isn't into trading cards, he picked out a Minecraft stuffed toy instead. 'I like doing that stuff,' Walman later said. 'I think we're in a position to be able to do that kind of thing and make people's day.' The story—and photo—quickly went viral, turning the Stephens kids into mini-celebrities at their school, Lakeland Ridge. Their snapshot with Walman is even set to be featured on the school's Oilers wall before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. 'They all want his jersey now,' said Adam. 'My daughter won't stop saying the name Jake Walman. She named her stuffed animal after him.' Also Read: Top NHL prospect Matthew Schaefer returns from injury ahead of 2025 draft

"People let them be": Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's life in Florida is a lot different from in NYC as the NFL star gears up for the upcoming season

More recently, the pop sensation was spotted in New York City with best friend Selena Gomez as they grabbed dinner together at an upscale restaurant. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now But it seems like even though Taylor Swift has been spotted in NYC, she might have found her new home in Florida where she was reportedly staying with Travis Kelce as he trained for the upcoming season of the NFL. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were enjoying their lives in Florida together Recently, as per Life & Style, a source has revealed that, 'They're (Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce) living fairly normally here. She hasn't been spotted much, but everyone is buzzing that she's here.' The source also added, 'When they go out to eat or have drinks, people let them be.' This also seems like what Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been wanting in the last few months as they had temporarily disappeared from the public eye after Super Bowl LIX where the pop sensation was booed by fans. While Travis Kelce is gearing up for the upcoming season of the NFL, it seems like Taylor Swift has kept herself busy by buying back all the rights to her first six albums. Taylor Swift has not made any announcements about a potential new project Recently, Taylor Swift issued a statement on her Instagram where she spoke about the struggle she went through to own all her music and even gave fans an update about the potential release of Reputation (Taylor's Version). The statement read as, "I know, I know. What about Rep TV? Full transparency. I haven't even re-recorded a quarter of it.' The statement added, 'The Reputation album was so specific to that time in my life, and I kept hitting a stopping point when I tried to remake it. All that defiance, that longing to be understood while feeling purposely misunderstood, that desperate hope, that shame-born snarl and mischief." This had upset many fans as many felt that Taylor Swift was working on her new music, as she stayed away from the public and might just be planning to release it soon. For now, Taylor Swift has not announced a new project and as per Daily Mail, a source has revealed that it might not be too long until the star couple make a serious decision about their futures together.
