‘Bullets flying': Football star arrested over murder in bar
Keshod Harris, 32, was shot seven times in the chest early Saturday morning at McCabe's Bar in DeLand, Florida and declared dead from the injuries.
Officers responded to the reports of gunfire at 1:30am on Saturday night.
Following the shooting, the suspect fled the scene, prompting an extensive investigation.
Williams is now in custody at the Volusia County Jail.
'There was chaos, you know, everybody was running,' Stephanie Kirby, the bartending working at McCabe's that night, told Fox Orlando. 'When bullets are flying, and you don't know where they're gonna land, that's pretty scary.'
It remains unclear what started the fight that quickly escalated into gunfire. Harris was talking with friends just before he was killed, according to the report.
Williams, who spent two seasons with Miami and one with the Maryland Terrapins, played the most as a freshman with the Hurricanes.
This is not the first arrest for Williams; he was also charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery in 2021 after he allegedly assaulted a pregnant woman.
He was previously a blue-chip recruit coming out of high school as the No. 45 player in the country for the class of 2020 and the country's No. 2 safety.
Williams had 18 tackles and one interception for Miami during the 2021 season.
Williams played in just four games after transferring to Maryland and accumulated just three total tackles.

'I was 15 years old, and it was shortly after my mother was murdered. I was not in the right state of mind. I was grieving in ways that even I couldn't understand,' she said. 'As a young girl I was hanging around a lot of the wrong people and making a lot of reckless choices.' She said she was 'drinking often' and 'made a terrible decision' Ms Jordan said while she wasn't the person who gave the toddler the electronic nicotine device, filming and being there made her 'just as guilty'. 'I take full responsibility for this,' she said. 'Right after this incident, I fully co-operated with law enforcement and took full responsibility for my actions on that day. I am truly, deeply sorry for the pain I caused that family now and then. 'I am so sorry to anyone I have hurt with that video, whether you're a parent or somebody who's experienced harm or gone through anything like that — or, honestly, just as a human being — I am so sorry.' Ms Jordan said since the incident eight years ago, she has worked incredibly hard to change, grow and heal. She said she was no longer the 'broken teenage girl' she once was. 'I built my page off of authenticity and showing all the real sides of life, and that also means owning up to my mistakes,' she said. 'I am a human. I make mistakes, and this is one I regret more than anything in this world.' The influencer said the video didn't reflect who she is now, or the values that she holds, adding while she couldn't change what she did, she could hold herself accountable. Ms Jordan, who is originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, boasts more than 700,000 followers across social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Her mother was killed in a car accident in 2018.

Man dead after another Sydney shooting, Homicide Squad sets up crime scene
A man is dead after being shot in Sydney's west on Tuesday night. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Regiment Grove, Winston Hills, about 7pm after reports of gunshots. Witnesses have told police a man was shot while getting into his car. He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics but died after being transported to hospital. The man has not yet been formally identified by detectives and the Homicide Squad has set up a crime scene in the area. Man who was shot inside a car in Winston Hills dies after being taken to hospital as investigations begin
A man has been shot dead while sitting in his car in western Sydney. NSW Police and ambulance rushed to the scene on Regiment Grove in Winston Hills after a gunman took aim about 7pm on Tuesday. Officers were told the man had been shot in the chest while inside a car. He was treated by paramedics at the scene before being rushed to a nearby hospital, before he died. A large number of NSW Police have set up a crime scene and cordoned off the area with detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide squad commencing a formal investigation into the crime. The man is yet to be formally identified. It is unclear also the identity of the shooter or if they have been reprimanded.
