Ellie Goulding teases her brand new album with the 'saddest words I ever wrote' as she moves on from Caspar Jopling split with new boyfriend

Daily Mail7 days ago
has teased her brand new album featuring the 'saddest words' she's ever written as she moves on from her ex with a new man.
The singer, 38, separated from her art dealer husband Caspar Jopling, 33, in February last year and the pair are now co-parenting their five-year-old son Arthur.
And taking to her Instagram on Thursday, Ellie hinted that her recent relationship woes may feature in her upcoming music, which she noted she's been working on 'for so long'.
In her post, the Burn hitmaker marked the five year anniversary of another album Brightest Blue, before teasing that her latest work would be fans' 'new favourite'.
Giving a hint of what's to come, she wrote: 'If you guys liked this album I fear the next might be your new favourite… been working on it for so long.
'Guitars, bass, strings, harmonies for days, saddest words I ever wrote, best writers and musicians in the world (I am so lucky) and refusing to sound like anything else out there lol… gona be interesting for sure . But pop pop pop because I can't help myself.'
Her followers were quick to comment on the post with many sharing her excitement at her first album since 2023's Higher Than Heaven.
It comes after Ellie reportedly went public with her new love interest at a boxing match over the weekend.
The chart-topper is dating actor Beau Minniear, 28, according to The Sun and the pair attended the clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois at Wembley together on Saturday night.
It comes after last week she reportedly teased a romance with him with a cryptic TikTok video posted to her socials.
The publication claims she shared a clip stroking a man's arm, with the caption: 'Just a little something to take the edge off.' The video is no longer on her TikTok account.
Her fans reportedly noticed that the watch the man was wearing in the clip matched one Beau regularly wears in Instagram snaps.
They also reportedly noticed they both posted photos last week from the same hotel in Florence - before attending the boxing match together.
A source told the publication: 'Ellie is into Beau and they have a lot of shared interests like exercise and art.

'They've been having fun together and they certainly make for an attractive couple.'
A representative for Ellie has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.
The Sun go on to report that Ellie is thought to have met Beau - who has a string of small acting parts in TV and film in the US - earlier this year.
Late last year she then split from her boyfriend Armando Perez who she moved on with after Caspar.
The musician and the surf instructor - who was eight years her junior - struck up a romance when he gave her surfing lessons as she rang in the New Year in Costa Rica.
However friends of the pair told MailOnline late last year that their relationship had run its course.
The couple met at the turn of the year when Ellie had gone to the Central American beach resort for a yoga and surf retreat with two close friends - actresses Emily Wickersham and Alessandra Ford Balazs - where they rented a swanky hillside villa.
The holiday was a break for Ellie after she had in private separated from her art dealer husband Caspar.
When pictures emerged of Ellie and Armando in swimsuits kissing passionately in the sea, the mother-of-one then took the decision to make public that her five-year marriage to Caspar, 33, had previously come to an end.
Confirming their split on Instagram, she wrote: 'In light of recent stories, I feel I have been left with no choice but to let you all know that Caspar and I privately separated some time ago.
'We remain the closest of friends and have been successfully co-parenting with our son's best interests at heart.'

Beloved ITV detective show slapped with 'trigger warning' for crime scenes in 'woke' move

ITV 's Inspector Morse has been slapped with a 'trigger warning' in a move that has been branded ' woke '. The popular series now features a pre-warning for crime scenes throughout the show, which seems to have caused a stir with people online. The streaming giant also advises there are 'satanic images' in one episode of the drama. It then has a parental lock on the episode, titled Day of the Devil. Inspector Morse first aired from 1987 to 2000, with a total of eight series. Other episodes also feature a warning over crime and violence. The popular series now features a pre-warning for crime scenes throughout the show, which seems to have caused a stir with people online Speaking about the update, Senior MP Sir Alec Shelbrooke slammed: 'This is another example of soft-touch Britain seeping into everything. 'We're just going to be laughed at as a country if things like this continue, because nobody's prepared for the real world where there are no.' Daily Mail has contacted ITV for comment. In the past, it has said about general alerts: 'Programming that contains politically sensitive or distressing themes, content, or language has carried appropriate warnings since our launch.' Just a few weeks ago, Netflix bosses axed an iconic moment from Pride and Prejudice to avoid 'objectifying men'. The unforgettable scene of Mr Darcy - played by Colin Firth - emerging from a lake was all the rage in 1995. But show bosses have confirmed it will not resurface in the forthcoming version of the rom-com. According to reports, many fans will be disappointed as the famous BBC scene is said to have 'got millions of women hot under the collar'. A source told The Sun: 'It is also credited for sparking subsequent moments of male objectification on screen - likes Aidan Turner's famous topless scything scene in Poldark.' It's claimed that Netflix bosses 'don't want a repeat'. The saucy scene soon became one of the most favourite TV scenes, however it didn't actually feature in Jane Austen's original 1813 story. Arguably the most iconic wet shirt ever worn sold at auction for £25,000 - double its estimated sale price.

Maya Jama shares slew of loved-up snaps with footballer boyfriend Ruben Dias as she enjoys 'work and play' getaway

Maya Jama has shared some loved-up snaps with footballer boyfriend Ruben Dias as she continues to enjoy balancing 'work and play'. The Love Island host, 30, found the time to post on Instagram between her busy schedule as she spends time between Mallorca and London. She posted a carousel dump from the last week which involved behind-the-scenes of filming and enjoying a holiday with the Man City player and their pals. In a post, she told fans: 'Work & play balancing [sparkle emoji].' In the slew of snaps, Maya looked incredible in a body-hugging dress, where she stood outside of the Love Island villa. She was later seen dancing away with her boyfriend as they watched the sunset on a boat trip together. The new couple cuddled and posed for a selfie where they looked happier than ever. When she wasn't booked and busy filming, the TV star enjoyed relaxing in the pool, sharing images of her in the water. She also switched off with some yoga in the mornings, with a stunning sea view from her room. Maya made sure to include some sexy bikini pics too, showing off her incredible curves. The couple recently enjoyed a holiday to Ibiza where they packed on the PDA. The presenter captioned the post: 'La isla de la magia' which translates to 'The Magic Island' and smitten Ruben quickly commented with a love heart emoji. Maya has been dating Ruben for several months and recently confirmed their romance on social media. The pair have appeared to have gone from strength to strength with the sportsman flying out to Spain to support Maya while she is filming Love Island. As she shared an album of fun snaps soaking up the sun, Ruben also shared some moments with Maya. Alongside the post Ruben confirmed his love for the star and penned: 'Sun, love, crocodiles, some fits and one advice.' And Maya appeared to approve of his sweet declaration as she commented with a love heart and fire emoji.
