Jason Biggs Details Getting Cocaine From Trash Can Amid Addiction
Originally appeared on E! Online
Jason Biggs is getting candid about a low moment.
The American Pie alum, who has been open about his addiction journey over the years, recently recalled a time from the height of his struggles in which he repeatedly retrieved drugs from the trash can.
'I lived in the gray area, but I have 'snorting dust off the floor' stories or similar to that,' Jason told Arielle Lorre on the June 4 episode of her Well podcast. 'One of my craziest stories was I was doing cocaine by myself in my house, and I did what I said was the last line.'
He went on to say his wife, Jenny Mullen, was asleep upstairs and she 'didn't even know' he was awake and taking drugs, and in an effort to get himself to go to bed he put the rest of the cocaine into their trash can.
'Within 15 minutes, as soon as my last bump is wearing off, what am I doing?' Jason remembered. 'I go into my trash, and I take it out and I do a line.'

Afterwards, he instead put the rest of the cocaine into the trash can in front of his house, telling himself, 'OK, I'm done,' before going back inside and intending to take an Ambien to help him sleep.
'Before I took the Ambien, I was like, 'One more,'' he said. 'I went outside and I climbed into the trash bin and got the bag of coke and went upstairs and did another line. I was like, 'What the f--k am I doing? This is absolutely insane.''
This time, the Orange Is The New Black alum—who shares Sid, 11, and Lazlo, 7, with Jenny—said he drove down Sunset Boulevard to dispose of the cocaine in a trash can down there, going so far as to put the bag in a coffee cup that still had coffee inside. Yet, as he detailed, when his last bump wore off he once again found himself driving back to the trash can and retrieving the drugs.
'I could have easily opened the baggie and dumped it down the toilet, but I didn't,' he said. 'That's too final. I knew I was going to finish that bag the moment I got it, but I kept playing this game with myself. That was very close to rock bottom.'
And at the time, the 47-year-old's life was consumed by his addiction.
'For me, it was the obsession over it,' he explained. 'It was wake up and immediately think, 'How am I going to get my first line?' to 'When is this going to happen? What do I have today?''
In fact, he planned his schedule around when he could take drugs, adding, 'It was exhausting and I was sort of consumed mentally.'
Now sober for more than seven years, Jason can look back and see how much happier he is, calling sobriety 'freeing.'
'There is a freedom,' he explained, 'that comes with not having to do those things anymore.'

Justin Baldoni's Lawyer Says Blake Lively's Victory Is 'False'
Originally appeared on E! Online Justin Baldoni's lawyer has a lot more to say. One day after the It Ends With Us director's $400 million countersuit against Blake Lively—as well as her husband Ryan Reynolds and publicist Leslie Sloane—was officially dismissed by a judge June 9, his attorney stressed that the legal battle is far from over. 'Ms. Lively and her team's predictable declaration of victory is false,,' Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman said in a statement to E! News June 10. 'So let us be clear about the latest ruling.' Indeed, in legal documents obtained by E! News, judge Lewis J. Liman ruled that Baldoni and his associates had failed to prove defamation in their filing and to prove that 'Lively's threats were wrongful extortion rather than legally permissible hard bargaining or renegotiation of working conditions.' (Baldoni's $250 million lawsuit against was also dismissed.) However, the judge ruled that Baldoni can refile an amended complaint on the allegations of tortious interference with contract, relating to Reynolds and Lively, and breach of implied covenant, relating to Lively by June 23. And, according to Freedman, Baldoni's case against Lively goes far deeper than his dismissed claims of defamation. More from E! Online Justin Bieber Slams "Transactional Relationships' After Hailey Bieber Split Rumors Glen Powell's Ex Gigi Paris Breaks Silence on Sydney Sweeney Romance Rumors Are Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Married? Here's the Truth 'This case is about false accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation and a nonexistent smear campaign, which Ms. Lively's own team conveniently describes as 'untraceable' because they cannot prove what never happened,' Freedman continued. 'Most importantly, Ms. Lively's own claims are no truer today than they were yesterday, and with the facts on our side, we march forward with the same confidence that we had when Ms. Lively and her cohorts initiated this battle and look forward to her forthcoming deposition, which I will be taking.' Meanwhile, Lively—who sued Baldoni in January for emotional distress and loss of wages that she says occurred during the filming of It Ends With Us—went on to share gratitude for the support she received following Baldoni's initial filing. 'Like so many others, I've felt the pain of a retaliatory lawsuit, including the manufactured shame that tries to break us,' Lively wrote in a June 9 statement on her Instagram Story. 'While the suit against me was defeated, so many don't have the resources to fight back.' Following her legal win, Lively said she was 'more resolved than ever' to stand for women's rights to protect themselves, and went on to share resources. She concluded with a note to those who supported her in her own legal endeavor, 'I will never stop appreciating or advocating for you.' Which Cast Members Are Not Returning for ‘And Just Like That' Season 3? Who's Not Coming Back
And Just Like That... returns for season 3 minus several key cast members who have been with the show since the first episode. Life & Style reveals which costars aren't coming back and the reasons behind their departures. Sara Ramirez is not coming back to the show as nonbinary comedian and podcaster Che Diaz, even though they have been with the show since season 1. Similarly, another two-season regular, Karen Pittman, won't be back to reprise her role of law professor Nya Wallace. The Grey's Anatomy alum and showrunner Michael Patrick King "felt that that character had run its course," AJLT star and Sex and the City alum Cynthia Nixon told Variety in May 2024. Cynthia's Miranda Hobbes fell for Che in season 1, causing her to split from husband Steve Brady, played by David Eigenberg. Che and Miranda's romance blossomed throughout the season as Miranda explored her sexuality. Season 2 saw Che suffer a major career downturn after their comedy pilot didn't get picked up. They went back to working in a veterinarian's office and the podcast they cohosted with Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie Bradshaw was cancelled after the studio was shut down. Che's romance with Miranda also came to an end, after the intensity of being involved so deeply in each other's lives took a toll. That left Sara without much to do on the show, as their character's ties to both Carrie and Miranda were no longer there going into the third season. 'One of the things that it meant was that Miranda was single again, and that the tensions between Miranda and Che, and also Miranda and Steve, had been quelled and quieted," Cynthia told E! News on May 28, 2025, about her character finally being free of any partner heading into season 3 of AJLT. "Just speaking for Miranda, it meant that she was setting out on this new dating world, having decided she wanted to date women and nonbinary people, but not really quite knowing how to go about that," the New York native added. Karen's busy schedule didn't have room for her to return as Miranda's former law professor and close pal, as she was shooting Apple TV+'s The Morning Show season 4 and the Netflix's series Forever during AJLT's season 3 production. 'It has been a joy to have Karen Pittman play the smart and stunning Professor Nya Wallace on the first two seasons of And Just Like That. As we have thoroughly enjoyed working with this dynamic actress, so too have others," a spokesperson for HBO told multiple outlets on March 22, 2024. They noted that 'it has become apparent that filming three shows at once isn't possible.' 'Due to the production realities, we are disappointed to announce that scheduling conflicts will not allow us to continue with this character as part of season 3 of And Just Like That. Karen and Nya will be missed, and her Max family and fans will all be cheering her on in her other endeavors," the streaming service added. The character of Nya had been left at somewhat of a dead end after season 2. Miranda had long left her brief return to college in the professor's classes to take a job as a human rights lawyer, so the pair only had social interactions. Nya's marriage broke down after she and her husband were unable to come to a decision about children, and season 2 saw the character exploring dating life while somewhat adrift from the rest of the AJLT cast. Kim Cattrall's cameo in the AJLT season 2 finale was a one and done. She thrilled Sex and the City fans by reprising Samantha Jones one last time in the episode that aired on August 24, 2023. Samantha called Sarah Jessica's Carrie Bradshaw to let her know her flight from London was running late and she was going to miss the former sex columnist's goodbye dinner at her longtime New York City apartment. The characters had a brief but pleasant chat after having several text exchanges during season 1 of the SATC revival. Kim shot her scene separately and was never face to face with SJP or other cast members. The Glamorous star had gone on the record numerous times that she was done playing Samantha for good when SJP tried to get a third SATC movie off the ground in 2017. The How I Met Your Father star said she wasn't asked back by AJLT executive producer and star Sarah to take part in the reboot, which the Hocus Pocus star confirmed.
