FOX Super 6 UFL contest: Chris 'The Bear' Fallica's Championship picks

What's better than watching football? Watching football and winning money! You can partake in the best of both worlds while watching the UFL championship game this weekend with our free-to-play FOX Super 6 game. How do you play? Enter the UFL Super 6 contest by predicting the correct answers to six questions before the game starts for your chance at weekly cash prizes. All you have to do is finish in the top six to win a prize. It really is that simple, and again, it's free. And if you need a little help before heading to the app to make your picks, I have you covered this week. Read below for my thoughts on the 2025 UFL championship weekend. Let's dive into the questions and predictions below. 1. Which team will throw for the most PASSING YARDS in the UFL Championship? D.C. Defenders or Michigan Panthers The answer here for me is D.C. Jordan Ta'amu at quarterback for the Defenders has been exactly what they needed. In nine games this season, he has 2,153 passing yards and 17 passing touchdowns. The only player with better stats than this is Arlington's Luis Perez, who'll be sitting at home this weekend enjoying the championship game from the couch. Prediction: D.C. Defenders 2. Rank the receivers by who will have the MOST RECEIVING YARDS (highest to lowest): Siaosi Mariner, Chris Rowland, Cornell Powell, Malik Turner Tough one here between Mariner and Rowland to lead this group. Actually, it's almost a coin flip because when you look at the seasons that both of them have had, it's hard to give one a leg up over the other. Prediction: Siaosi Mariner, Chris Rowland, Malik Turner, Cornell Powell 3. Which player will have the MOST RUSHING YARDS in the UFL Championship? Toa Taua, Deon Jackson, Nate McCrary, Abram Smith Deon Jaackson has been an absolute beast this year. In 10 games played (five starts), he racked 417 yards on the ground. His longest rush of 57 yards is tied for the best in the league this season. Hard not to back him here. Prediction: Deon Jackson 4. Predict the TOTAL POINTS SCORED by both teams in the UFL Championship game: (12 points for one segment (ie; 0 to 40), 6 points for two segments (ie; 0 to 50), 3 points for three segments (ie; 0 to 55), 1 point for four segments (ie; 0 to 60+)) 0-40 or 0-50 or 0-55 or 0-60+ 40-50 or 40-55 or 40-60+ 50-55 or 50-60+ 55-60+ Last week, for conference championship weekend, I thought the games would be lower scoring. And wow! Talk about lighting up the scoreboard and proving me wrong. I'll adjust my position slightly for this championship game. Fireworks, anyone? Prediction: 40-50 points 5. Which of the following will occur? Michigan: 120+ rushing yards Bryce Perkins: 200+ passing yards Jordan Ta'amu: 240+ passing yards None I can't say with confidence that Michigan will get more than 120 yards rushing or that either Perkins or Ta'amu will eclipse those passing yards. If anything, I could see myself leaning toward Michigan getting over 120 yards on the ground, but I'm not sold. Prediction: None 6. What will be the outcome of the UFL Championship game? D.C. Defenders win, or lose by 2 points or fewer Michigan Panthers win by 3 points or more If you had told me at the beginning of the UFL season that these would be the last two teams standing, I wouldn't have believed you. Even if you'd told me that three weeks ago, I still would've said that it would be the Stallions or the Battlehawks. But here we are. And of these last two worthy squads, I'm going to back the Defenders to at least keep it close. Prediction: D.C. Defenders to win or lose by 2 points or fewer Tiebreaker: What will be the final score? Prediction: Panthers 30, Defenders 28 Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Drive fall at Hudson Valley

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. — Kyle Carr tossed 6.2 strong innings and the Hudson Valley Renegades held off a late Greenville rally to claim a 2–1 win Tuesday night at Heritage Financial Park in the first of a six-game series. Carr (1–4) earned his first win of the season, allowing just one run on three hits while striking out five and walking three. The left-hander's only blemish came on a solo home run by Freili Encarnacion in the fifth inning that cut the Renegades' lead to 2–1. Lefty Jorvani Moran made a rehab start for the Drive, going only 2/3 of an inning before being replaced by reliever Adam Smith to close out the first inning. Hudson Valley (35–22) scratched out single runs in the first and second innings to take an early lead. Parks Harber doubled with two outs in the first and came around to score on Coby Morales' RBI single to right. Alexander Vargas doubled home Jose Colmenares in the second off the second reliever out of the Drive bullpen Payton Tolle to make it 2–0. Tolle, the Red Sox No. 15 Prospect, was excellent in relief for Greenville (30–28), striking out eight over five innings while allowing just three hits and one run. Cooper Adams followed with two scoreless innings to keep the Drive within striking distance. Encarnacion's homer, his second of the season, came on a full count with two outs in the fifth, but Greenville couldn't generate any additional offense despite drawing four walks and being hit by two pitches. The Drive's best chance came in the eighth, when they loaded the bases with two outs. But reliever Hueston Morrill induced a popout from Nazzan Zanetello to escape the jam and then worked a clean ninth for his third save. Encarnacion reached base all three times he came to the plate, going 1-for-1 with a homer, a walk, and a hit-by-pitch. Franklin Arias and Johanfran Garcia collected the other two hits for Greenville, who went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position and stranded seven on base. Colmenares led the Renegades with two hits, a walk, and a stolen base. Harber added a double and a walk, while Vargas contributed his first double of the season and an RBI. The Renegades stole three bases and left eight runners on, but their early offense and strong bullpen featuring scoreless outings from Tony Rossi and Morrill, were enough to secure the victory in front of a crowd of 1,710. Game two of the series is scheduled for Wednesday evening at Heritage Financial Park. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Ex-Rams QB named UFL Offensive Player of the Year

Ex-Rams QB named UFL Offensive Player of the Year Los Angeles Rams fans might recognize the UFL's 2025 Offensive Player of the Year. Bryce Perkins, who played five games for the team and started one in 2022, took home the UFL's top offensive award Tuesday after he led the Michigan Panthers to the UFL championship game. He also was named to the all-UFL team. Perkins went 4-2 as a starter with a 69% completion rate, 1,342 passing yards, nine passing touchdowns, five rushing touchdowns and two interceptions. Perkins, who has recently credited Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for teaching him how to complete no-look passes, went undrafted out of Virginia before he signed with the Rams in 2020. He didn't make his NFL debut until 2022 when he lost 26-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12 and threw for 100 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions that season. Perkins and the Panthers take on the DC Defenders in the UFL championship game.
