MAFS fans call out 'fake' detail in Adrian and Sierah's 'cheating scandal'

Yahoo13-02-2025

Married At First Sight fans were left outraged during Wednesday night's episode when they were given their first glimpse at this year's cheating scandal. Following a tense argument with his partner Awhina Rutene about their future in the experiment, Adrian Araouzou moved to sit at the other end of the dinner table next to Sierah Swepstone.
Meanwhile, Sierah told her co-stars that she and her partner Billy Belcher barely spoke to each other during Intimacy Week and that she 'hung out with Adrian' most of the day. As the dramatic music built up and Awhina looked downcast, the camera panned down to reveal that Adrian and Sierah were secretly playing footsies under the table while smiling to themselves.

Viewers are certainly used to seeing a cheating scandal unfold every year on MAFS, however, some people have taken to social media to question just how genuine the 'footsie incident' was between Adrian and Sierah.
'How would the producers know to put cameras under the table and to conveniently film them? It screams fake to me,' one person commented, while another added, 'Why do they all of a sudden have cameras under the table?' another added.
'So set up - honestly,' a third replied, with someone else writing, 'Not very good actors, unfortunately.'
While many fans argued that it was strange the camera operators would film under the table, others pointed out that producers would've known about their close 'friendship' and the fact they had previously 'hung out'.
'Sierah said she spent the day with Adrian. Producers must have known beforehand and when Adrian sat next to Sierah, they zoomed the camera downward,' one viewer theorised, while another agreed, 'I think people forget that these people have multiple producers or film crew with them almost ALL day. They know exactly what's going on'.
'Must have got wind of it before the dinner party and was watching them like a hawk,' a different user replied, followed by someone else who said, 'Maybe it was so obvious that the producer told a cameraman to zoom in on their feet'.
'It looks like anyone standing far from the table could see under it… If you notice, all they did was zoom in. Perhaps the camera crew noticed what was going on as they watched from farther back and then filmed it,' another shared.
Daily Mail reported last week that Adrian and Sierah formed an 'unexpected bond' after a night out during their first weekend in Sydney and 'stayed up late getting to know each other'.
Their close bond eventuated in an 'alleged indiscretion at a dinner party' - which we now know was the 'footsie scandal' - and their respective partners were left feeling 'humiliated' and 'betrayed' when it emerged at the commitment ceremony.
The publication also claims that Sierah and Adrian had an 'intimate dinner date' a few days later behind their partner's backs, and Billy felt 'completely blindsided' when the truth eventually emerged.

An insider tells Yahoo Lifestyle that while Adrian and Sierah maintain nothing inappropriate happened between them, she is later accused of trying to continually pursue him after their initial flirtation.
'The most devastating thing for Billy was the fact Sierah was the first girl he's ever opened up to about his family and father leaving,' they add. 'It's hard for him to be that vulnerable but he really wanted to let all his walls down and give their marriage everything.'

Justin Bieber Continues To Fuel Fans' Worries As He Admits He Is 'Tired Of Transactional Relationships'

Justin Bieber has left fans confused again after revealing that he is done with "transactional" relationships. The famous singer, whose marriage to Hailey Bieber has been the subject of intense scrutiny, has shared multiple cryptic posts recently, raising concerns about his well-being. Justin Bieber's latest comment comes after he was spotted out and about in Hollywood with a knee brace, hinting at a mystery injury he sustained. Justin has kept up his recent trend of sharing cryptic posts online, keeping fans on their toes regarding his state of mind. In his latest post, the "Baby" singer left his followers confused when he wrote: "Tired of transactional relationships. If I have to do something to be loved." Justin added, "That's not love." Fans quickly rushed to the comment section to show their concern for the father of one. A person begged, "Bro, stop posting and get help. I'm serious," while another wrote, "Please go to therapy, please." A third person noted, "I hate what they did to you!!! I'm praying for you." "It's obvious dude is crying for help- he's going to be the poor next Britney - someone help him," another fan commented. Prior to his latest comment about "transactional relationships," Justin raised eyebrows as he appeared noticeably slimmer and had on a knee brace on his left leg during an outing in Hollywood. According to photos obtained by the Daily Mail, the singer was spotted heading to a local spa, dressed in layered hoodies, green checkered shorts, and blue slide sandals, topped off with a baseball cap. A peek of his neck tattoo was visible beneath the hoodie, as he maintained a subdued demeanor. This public appearance follows a wave of speculation triggered by a cryptic Instagram rant earlier in the week. In the now-viral post, Justin criticized those who offer unsolicited opinions on what others "deserve." "Telling other humans they deserve something is like raising someone else's kids," he wrote. "Who are you to tell someone what someone should or shouldn't have?" Justin further noted that only "God decides what we deserve," calling out the "audacity" of self-appointed moral arbiters. One of the many things that fans fear has affected Justin in recent times is his past relationship with embattled rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently on trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The singer was plagued by widespread allegations that Diddy sexually abused him as a teenage pop star. A video of Diddy saying he and a young Justin would hang out together for "48 hours" also surfaced online last year, sparking more fan concerns about Justin's past. However, the "Sorry" hitmaker finally released a statement shutting down the rumors and noting that Diddy didn't sexually abuse him. "Although Justin is not among Sean Combs' victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve," a spokesperson for the singer said in a statement to TMZ. Insiders also told the news outlet that Diddy never abused Justin, saying the unearthed videos that flooded the Internet were "performative" and Justin was instead closer to his sons, not the music mogul. A previous report claimed that Justin was "disturbed" by Diddy's arrest in September 2024, as he hoped not to relive his "complicated friendship" with the Bad Boy Records founder. "The last thing Justin wants to do is relive or even discuss his complicated friendship with Diddy," a source told InTouch Weekly, adding that Justin was "finally breaking his silence to his friends about his nightmare experience and the private hell it's caused him." Meanwhile, an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail declared that Justin regrets working with Diddy on his last album and wouldn't have done it if he knew what was going on in the background. "He had a long break from Diddy when he believes most of this took place, and he had distanced himself from him," the insider said. "He was featured on Diddy's most recent album, and had he known any of this, there is no way he would have done it."

A New Role & a Rare 2-Word Comment: Prince William's Subtle References to Prince Harry This Week

Another week, another set of appearances from the royals—and this one was a big one: Prince William made his first appearance in Wattisham, Suffolk as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps, a position bestowed on him by King Charles in 2024, but more notably, one that likely would have gone to Prince Harry had he not exited the royal family in 2020. (The Army Air Corps is Harry's former regiment with the Duke of Sussex serving as a pilot with the Corps during his second tour of Afghanistan up through 2014, something he opens up about quite a bit in Spare.) When Charles made the announcement of William's appointment back in 2023 around the time of his coronation, it was a bit controversial, but also speaks to a larger issue that looms over his reign: Harry. (More on that in a minute.)As part of William's appearance this week, he also had the chance to chat with soldiers who were on a water break from combat training. It was there that the Prince of Wales brought up the topic of family, according to the Daily Mail. 'Is the pace of life good at the moment?' he asked. One of the soldiers replied that it was a 'mixed bag,' which is when William took that two-word phrase and ran with it: 'Families OK? See you enough? Some of them might not want to see you that much. It's a mixed bag sometimes.' Oof. Whether or not William was directly referencing the situation with his brother is up for interpretation, but it resurfaces the mounting pressure for the Prince of Wales and the king to extend an olive branch and make a public move toward reconciliation with the Sussexes—or put themselves at risk of this being the line that is forever drawn when it comes to their royal reputations. (My guess is that this is the opposite of what they want.)That's not to say that William and Charles aren't justified in their actions—two things can be true. As many reputable publications have reported, trust issues are certainly at play. Harry's perspective is the public perspective, for better or worse, but in the case of the monarchy, the family is intertwined so deeply with the business, it feels logical for an effort to be made to smooth things over if only to achieve some sort of closure that removes this asterisk on their legacy. Based on Harry's recent chat with the BBC, he's ready and willing, not to mention openly asking for it. The ball is in their court. The problem is that until they make a move, no matter how good Charles's (and William's) public performance is, the private family drama will overshadow and minimize those efforts. Like I said, there are bigger issues at play: A lack of trust, battles over security, so much. This royal rift runs deep. But the 'never complain, never explain' motto beloved by the late Queen Elizabeth II doesn't seem to be working here and the noise around this issue is getting louder. The choice is theirs. The shady way Adrian from MAFS Australia responded to ex Awhina's relationship with Billy

Married At First Sight Australia might be over, but drama from the most recent season still lingers. For those who followed series nine, you'll remember Adrian Araouzo and Awhina Rutene were initially paired together, as were Billy Belcher and Sierah Swepstone. However, you'll also know that neither relationship lasted, and both couples went their separate ways. (Billy felt betrayed when Sierah attended an evening meal with Adrian and fellow MAFS contestant Tony Mojanovski behind his back, while Awhina and Adrian had a commitment ceremony, but broke up before their Final Vows.) And to ramp up the drama even more, MAFS sleuths will be aware of the dating rumours between Awhina and Billy that have been flying around for months. While we can now report that the pair are official, after claiming they were "just friends" the entire time, Adrian has since entered the chat with a shady response to the relationship. Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, he said he had "no clue" what Billy and Awhina are doing. But if their relationship is serious, "good luck to them." Adrian then said he "hopes it's legit," because otherwise it would be "a bit embarrassing to act like a couple just for likes and attention." He continued: "I don't understand all these games certain couples are playing. If you're with someone and happy, put it out to the world [and] be proud you guys are together. Otherwise, keep it private until it's official." He then followed up by wishing them both "nothing but happiness and a healthy, successful relationship." As it stands, Awhina and Billy look super loved up. And from their joint Instagram official post, they seem to be in it for the long haul. On Friday, they shared a carousel of some recent moments, from a sweet mirror selfie to a romantic date night. The pair captioned the post: "I'll keep this one 🤭." Err, cute.
