Connor Zilisch injury update: Watkins Glen winner falls out of car
After taking the race, Zilisch attempted to climb out of his window to celebrate on top of his car but lost his footing and slipped onto victory lane.
NBC Sports' Dustin Long observed that Zilisch left in an ambulance to receive care but was thankfully alert and was able to sit up as he left.
Zilisch suffered such a freak injury after what was supposed to be a victorious moment, but at least the early word indicates that he's doing okay in the moment.

Gurriel and McCarthy lead Diamondbacks to 6-5 win over Guardians
PHOENIX (AP) — Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drove in three runs, Jake McCarthy hit a solo homer and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Cleveland Guardians 6-5 on Tuesday night. McCarthy finished with two hits and Corbin Carroll tripled twice, his fourth game this season with two triples. Diamondbacks starter Eduardo Rodriguez gave up four runs on five hits and three walks in 6 2/3 innings. Juan Burgos (1-0) got one out to earn his first major league win. The 25-year-old rookie entered with two outs and a runner on first in the seventh, gave up a double to Angel Martínez and intentionally walked José Ramírez before pinch-hitter Kyle Manzardo grounded out to end the inning. Giants great, Super Bowl winner Phil Simms lands new broadcasting gig after CBS exit
Giants legend Phil Simms is returning to the broadcast booth after his exit from CBS. The star quarterback, who called games for NBC and CBS from 1995 to 2016, will work three Big Ten college football games on Peacock this season, NBC Sports announced Tuesday. Simms was tabbed to serve as an analyst for the Illinois-Western Illinois game on Aug. 29, the Rutgers-Miami (OH) game on Sept. 6 and a third game to be determined alongside play-by-play announcer Paul Burmeister.
