Connor Zilisch injury update: Watkins Glen winner falls out of car
Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series Mission 200 At The Glen winner Connor Zilisch suffered a nasty fall while exiting his vehicle window after winning the race at Watkins Glen International. After taking the race, Zilisch attempted to climb out of his window to celebrate on top of his car but lost his footing and slipped onto victory lane. NBC Sports' Dustin Long observed that Zilisch left in an ambulance to receive care but was thankfully alert and was able to sit up as he left. Zilisch suffered such a freak injury after what was supposed to be a victorious moment, but at least the early word indicates that he's doing okay in the moment.
