North Korea

On August 15, 1971, the island nation of Bahrain declared its independence from British rule. It was the day Bahrain charted its own course as a sovereign state in the Gulf region. 4. Liechtenstein
One of Europe's smallest countries, Liechtenstein proclaimed its independence from German influence on August 15, 1866.
