Travis Hunter draft profile, scouting report
A true unicorn in modern NFL draft history. Legitimate No. 1 corner and wide receiver prospect with length, athleticism, playmaking, football IQ to be a difference-maker at either position sooner than later. — Ayrton Ostly
Hunter wants to play both cornerback and receiver on a full-time basis and has the potential to be a generational NFL star if he does so, or even if he just dominates on one side of the ball while making occasional appearances on the other. A big question for the team that drafts him is how much they'll let him play and what will be his first primary position. One of the few things that can stop him is injuries. He was slowed by injuries at Jackson State and Colorado but recovered enough to win the Heisman Trophy in 2024. — Brent Schrotenboer

NFL Win/Loss Preview Series: Jacksonville Jaguars
NFL Win/Loss Preview Series: Jacksonville Jaguars originally appeared on Athlon Sports. New Head Coach Liam Coen's wizardry should bring an air of excitement, yet betting markets aren't buying it. Don't take my word for it — Jacksonville boasts the same exact win totals and prices as their AFC South counterpart Indianapolis Colts, who have major questions at quarterback. Advertisement JAGUARS' WIN/LOSS ODDS: Over 5.5 Wins: (-310 ) Over 7.5 Wins: (-110 ) Over 9.5 Wins: (+250) Jacksonville's easily one of the most interesting situations to analyze this offseason. Major structural changes in leadership shake the Etch-A-Sketch and could change a team's trajectory in a flash. Sure, the Jags absolutely stunk last season, boasting bottom-tier macros on both offense (18.8 PPG, 306.2 yards/game, 44.5% success rate, 1.7 first downs/drive, -0.03 EPA/play) as well as defense (25.6 PPG, 389.9 yards/game, 5.9 yards/play, -0.10 EPA/play). Needless to say, that's a tough hill to climb for any head coach. Courtesy of The thing is, Coen's ingenuity turned a spiraling Tampa Bay offense into one of the league's most prolific in a single season. In fact, the Bucs' macros from 2023 (20.5 PPG, 313.3 yards/game, 41.8% success rate, 1.6 first downs/drive, -0.03 EPA/play) almost perfectly mirror the Jags' final 2024 marks above. Plus, similar to TB, JAX already has a former 1.01 QB installed under center. Eerily similar, no? Advertisement Adding to the massive uncertainty and my own personal fascination was Jacksonville's selection of two-way rookie phenom WR/CB Travis Hunter with the 1.02. He's no gimmick, either — this kid can ball. But the question remains, how will he be used? There really aren't any solid comps, and I know for a fact it's the biggest question mark for all the major NFL projection systems. LAGHEZZA'S LEAN: You'd think in this division, running to smash the over would be a no-brainer. However, the schedule's extremely tough outside the AFC South, and the Jags need to double their year-over-year win total to cash. They'll face both the NFC and AFC West, which simply put, isn't great on paper. Advertisement Expect JAX to be listed underdogs in essentially every tilt, with lots of travel on the docket, including "hosting" a game vs the Chargers in London. I've always rooted for Trevor Lawrence but just don't see enough improvements on defense to instill the confidence needed for eight wins. If anything, the Jags should make a fun team total bet every week if the offense starts to hum under Coen without improving on the other side of the ball. No action for me yet, but I'm leaning pretty hard toward JAGUARS UNDER 7.5 WINS (-110) on Fanduel. Josh Allen: MVP is an honor, but I didn't win a Super Bowl ring and that is the only goal
Bills quarterback Josh Allen was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player for the 2024 season, but he still hasn't achieved the one thing he really wants in his career. Allen says that until he has a Super Bowl ring, his résumé has a hole in it. 'You know, it is such a great honor, and I do appreciate being honored for my work,' Allen told Liam McKeone of 'But at the same time, I still didn't win a Super Bowl. Didn't win a ring, and that is the only goal. It's the only focus that I've ever had going into this league.' Allen said to the extent that the MVP matters to him, it's mostly because a quarterback isn't going to get the MVP award unless his team had a good regular season. 'The one positive, I will say, about winning an MVP means that your team is in a good position,' Allen said. 'You're making the playoffs, you're playing well and you're doing whatever you can to help your team win football games. But at the end of the day, you got to make the playoffs and then you got to win three, maybe four games. And that's what we need to do. And we're going to continue to work as hard as we can and myself included. What can we do to find a way over that hump? So that's the only goal going forward.' The Bills have had a lot of regular-season success with Allen and have made the playoffs six years in a row. But Allen has yet to lead the Bills to a Super Bowl, and that's the one accomplishment that he's focused on heading into 2025.

Report: Steelers expected to sign veteran LS Tucker Addington
The Steelers are expected to sign former Texans long snapper Tucker Addington — who was just released by Houston a few days ago — as reported by Aaron Wilson of KPRC. Since entering the NFL in 2022, Addington has played four games with the Patriots, three with the Commanders, and three with the Dolphins — potentially bringing just enough experience to compete with current Steelers LS Christian Kuntz for a roster spot. Advertisement Back in March, the Steelers brought in three long snappers for workouts: Peter Bowden, Matt Hembrough, and Sean Wracher. Since signing with the Steelers in 2021, Kuntz has served as the team's primary long snapper in every game Pittsburgh has played. Fans have another positional battle to watch at July's training camp, as 27-year-old Addington holds the age advantage over Kuntz — who just turned 31 — while the veteran Steelers long snapper clearly has the edge in experience.
