'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' heads to the orchestral stage in Singapore

After touring North America and Europe, the concert arrives in Singapore this November to mark 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' game's 10th anniversary. Photo: Ethan Lindhout Wind's howling – and soon, so will the cheers of fans at The Witcher in Concert, when the acclaimed fantasy franchise makes its Asian live debut this November. For the first time in the region, audiences can experience the haunting world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt through an immersive orchestral performance at Marina Bay Sands' Sands Theatre in Singapore on Nov 29 and 30. Marking the 10th anniversary of the critically acclaimed game, the 120-minute concert (with intermission) will feature a live orchestra, cinematic visuals, and the Polish folk metal band Percival Schuttenbach – co-creators of the game's distinctive soundtrack. Under the musical direction of co-composer Marcin Przybyłowicz, specially arranged tracks will bring Geralt of Rivia's journey to life, from fierce battle themes to haunting lullabies. In Singapore, the concert will also feature Slavic folk melodies, with a primal edge. Photo: Ethan Lindhout Presented by Base Entertainment Asia and produced in collaboration with CD Projekt Red, Gea Live, and RoadCo Entertainment, the show takes audiences through the war-torn lands of Velen, the stormy shores of Skellige, and the deeply personal quests of the White Wolf himself. Originally a series of novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher became a global phenomenon following the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in 2015, which has sold over 60 million copies and won more than 250 Game of the Year awards. The franchise also inspired a popular Netflix series, introducing characters like Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri to a wider audience. At the upcoming Singapore concert series, audiences will watch gameplay footage and cinematic scenes projected on a large screen, synchronised with every note of the live score to heighten the drama and emotion. It promises to be an unforgettable experience for fans of the game, the series, or orchestral fantasy music. The concert also reflects a growing global trend: music from video games is increasingly finding a place in concert halls, from Final Fantasy and The Legend Of Zelda to Halo and Elden Ring.

(Video) Is Wanna One Reunion Possible? Here's What Ha Sung Woon Said About A Group Comeback

Wanna One (워너원) remains one of the biggest boy groups in K-pop despite disbanding in 2019, following the end of their contract. After a brief reunion in 2021, fans continued hoping that the group would reunite once again and return to the stage. Recently, singer and Wanna One member Ha Sung Woon (하성운) appeared on the YouTube series 'Kstars Next Door' with INFINITE (인피니트) member Nam Woo Hyun (남우현). During the show, Wanna One came into the subject, prompting host Jonathan to ask Ha Sung Woon about a potential group comeback. The social media personality asked, 'Since we're on the topic of Wanna One, when can we expect a Wanna One reunion? Can we get an update on this?'. In response to the question, Ha Sung Woon replied, 'Do you want me to be honest? On a scale of ten steps, I don't think we've even taken a step towards a reunion.' The 31-year-old explained, 'The reason is that someone enlists in the military whenever we try to do something. When one person is discharged, another person enlists. And we also have members acting so they don't focus on this.' Ha Sung Woon also noted that each member of Wanna One is busy with their activities, so there are no set plans for a group comeback. Understandably, the singer's comment received mixed responses. Some fans lamented that the idol used his former groupmates' acting careers to dismiss the possibility of a group comeback. However, others defended the comment, saying it's a realistic answer without giving fans false hope of a reunion. After their group contract expired, the members of Wanna One pursued individual activities, including solo careers in singing and acting. However, members Ong Seong Wu (옹성우) and Park Ji Hoon (박지훈) focused on acting, with the latter recently starring in Netflix's 'Weak Hero'. Meanwhile, member Lai Kuan Lin (賴冠霖/라이관린) announced his retirement from the entertainment industry last year to focus on film directing. While it doesn't seem that a Wanna One comeback is possible, fans are still holding on to a sliver of hope that it could happen in the future. In the meantime, watch the group's last group performance from the 2021 MAMA Awards and Ha Sung Woon's appearance on 'Neighbourhood Star K' below: Sources: Koreaboo (1)(2)

#SHOWBIZ: Tom Cruise, Ana de Armas confirm romance during Vermont trip

WOODSTOCK: Tom Cruise and Ana de Armas have seemingly confirmed their long-rumoured romance, as they were spotted walking hand-in-hand during a recent date in Woodstock, Vermont in the US. Following their appearance at Oasis' sold-out reunion concert in London on July 25, the pair reportedly flew back across the pond and touched down in the charming New England town, according to pictures obtained by TMZ. It was there that their speculated relationship appeared to be cemented, with the two openly holding hands as they strolled through the quaint streets. TMZ reported that the 'Mission: Impossible' star and the 'Ballerina' actress drove through a national park, went shopping, and stopped for ice cream – all while holding hands. Attempts by E! News to contact representatives for both stars for comment have not been successful. This public display of affection follows months of apparent dates. Since first being seen together on Valentine's Day in Madrid, Tom and Ana have spent time together in London on multiple occasions – with Tom even flying the 'Knives Out' actress there by helicopter on one occasion – and enjoyed a sun-drenched getaway on the Spanish island of Menorca. Back in May, Ana spoke about her professional relationship with Tom, highlighting several upcoming projects. "It's so much fun, and we're definitely working on a lot of things," the 37-year-old teased on 'Good Morning America' on May 15. "Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I'm so excited." That same day, Tom – who was previously married to Katie Holmes, Nicole Kidman, and Mimi Rogers – couldn't help but praise Ana's film 'Ballerina', in which she stars alongside Keanu Reeves. "I just saw the movie," the 63-year-old told TikToker Javier Ibarreche at the London premiere of 'Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning'. "It just kicks ass!" The significance of such praise, coming from an action genre veteran, was not lost on Ana. "It makes me really happy and proud," she admitted to E! News' Will Marfuggi in an exclusive interview at the 'Ballerina' Los Angeles premiere on June 3.
