'One of the highlights of my career is that I get to act across from Nicole Ari Parker. I've known her for 20 years, we've worked together before – but never in this way,' the 'Desperate Housewives' alum added. 'She's just a joy to be around, I'm learning so much.'
'She's very much her own person, but it's like if you were to mix Julia Roberts and Audrey Hepburn together.'
'And Just Like That' follows the 'Sex and the City' friends Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate shifting from having glamorous lives in their 30s (in the original show, which ran from 1998 to 2004) to life in their 50s now.

The fourth member of their friend group, Samantha (Kim Cattrall), hasn't been in the show amid behind-the-scenes cast feud rumors, which SJP has denied – but Cattrall did make a brief cameo in 'And Just Like That' Season 2.
The ladies have also made some new friends in 'And Just Like That,' including comedian Che Diaz (Sara Ramirez, who isn't returning for Season 3), real estate broker Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury), law professor Dr. Nya Wallace (Karen Pittman, who isn't returning for Season 3 either) and documentarian and mom Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker).

About his relationship with Lisa, who is married, he explained, 'They are workmates and colleagues. Things get humorously cloudy.'
Brooks declined to say if his character has intimate scenes on the show, but since it's a spinoff of 'Sex and the City,' it often features R-rated action.
Some actors, like Penn Badgley, have publicly stated their reluctance to do such scenes.

'I'm very relaxed about intimate scenes. I don't have any problem with them. I like portraying people who are living fully developed lives,' Brooks said. 'That's part of a fully developed life – having intimacy.'
He added, 'That doesn't scare me at all.'
