Floating yoga, floating breathwork and floating Pilates classes are all new trends to land into Dubai in the last few months and we're not mad about it. Is it a wellness trend that's here to stay? We're not sure but while it's here we're going to join all the floating classes in Dubai while we can. The night swims are coming soon too… Address Beach Resort
The Address Beach Resort on JBR has a floating Yoga and Pilates inspired class by Super Sup Fit at the world's highest outdoor infinity pool. The classes are available twice a month for AED 377 per person, including exclusive 2-hour pool access so you can take a dip to cool off after too. The next classes are May 1, 15 and 29 and there's another on June 5 too.

AURA Skypool and Breasy are teaming up to do a really cool floating breathwork class in the world's highest 360-degree sky pool. Lie on your inflatable mattress, put on your noise cancelling headphones and regulate your nervous system with this class. The first session was on April 27, and there are more to be announced for floating classes in Dubai. It's 90 minutes long, from 8pm to 10pm and it costs Dhs400. And breathe…

It's in the private outdoor spa pool so you won't have anyone to disturb you, not that you would hear them with your noise cancelling headphones and eye mask on to block out the world. The instructor will guide you through the steps so even if you're a beginner, you're in safe hands. You'll also do an icebath too.

Aldar Launches Dhs40bn Coastal Development on Fahid Island
Arabian Post Staff -Dubai Aldar Properties has unveiled a Dhs40 billion mixed-use development on Fahid Island, a 3.4 million square metre natural island situated between Yas and Saadiyat Islands in Abu Dhabi. The project aims to transform the island into a premier coastal wellness destination, featuring over 4,000 residential units, retail outlets, hospitality venues, and community facilities. The first phase, Fahid Beach Residences, will comprise seven beachfront buildings, each housing 65 residences, offering a blend of apartments, townhouses, and ultra-luxury beach and mangrove villas. The development capitalises on the island's 11 km of waterfront, including 4.6 km of pristine beaches and iconic mangroves, providing residents with prime sea views and direct beach access. ADVERTISEMENT Aldar acquired the island for AED 2.5 billion, with the acquisition consideration to be paid over five years. The gross development value of the project stands at AED 26 billion. The development will include a school, retail and hospitality offerings, and a wide array of community facilities, aiming to create a vibrant and integrated community. The project emphasises sustainability, with eco-friendly construction practices and measures to protect local wildlife and preserve natural resources. The lush mangroves surrounding the island are to be preserved, enhancing the area's natural ecosystem. Aldar's CEO, Talal Al Dhiyebi, stated that the acquisition solidifies the company's presence on the Yas-Saadiyat corridor and strengthens its ability to deliver sustainable value to Abu Dhabi and its communities. Jonathan Emery, CEO at Aldar Development, noted that Al Fahid Island presents a robust pipeline of development activity, catering to the strong appetite for ultra-luxury products in Abu Dhabi's premier locations.

Dubai's Akala Project Sets New Benchmark in Wellness Real Estate
Arada has launched Akala, a AED 5 billion development positioned as the world's first precision wellness destination, located between Dubai International Financial Centre and Downtown Dubai. The project comprises two 220-metre towers housing 534 branded residences, integrating advanced medical diagnostics with luxury living. The residences range from one-bedroom apartments to a two-level penthouse named The Observatory, offering panoramic views of the Burj Khalifa. Each unit is designed to provide a lifestyle supported by performance-driven therapies and intuitive hospitality. The development is LEED Gold and WELL Silver precertified, emphasizing sustainability and indoor health. Akala's wellness ecosystem includes the Everwell medical clinic, a state-of-the-art gym, wellness studios, and the Akala Spa. The spa features thermal circuits with thalassotherapy pools, eucalyptus steam rooms, infrared salt rooms, Finnish saunas, cold plunges, and ice rooms. Private treatment rooms and VIP Spa Suites are also part of the design. ADVERTISEMENT Sales commenced on May 31 with a two-day event at Dubai's Museum of the Future. Prices start from AED 3.79 million for one-bedroom apartments, with sizes ranging from 1,036 to 1,407 square feet. A flexible 50/50 payment plan is available, with 10% down payment, 50% during construction, and the remaining 40% upon completion. Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of 2029. Arada plans to expand the Akala brand internationally, targeting markets in the Middle East, Europe, and Australia. The company aims to deliver culturally tailored yet consistently luxurious experiences in each location. HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, Executive Vice Chairman of Arada, stated that Akala is designed for the next generation of global citizens who want to live better, happier, and longer. He emphasized that the project reflects how people want to live today, where peak health, personal performance, and rest are all part of the same experience.
