Honor 400 Pro
Honor is all set to unveil its next mid-range phones tomorrow. Ahead of the launch, the company has promised six years of Android OS upgrades for its upcoming Honor 400 series. This means, both Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro will receive Android OS updates through 2031.
It's not typical for sub-$500 smartphones to be supported for up to six years, and Honor is changing that with its promise of offering solid software support for the upcoming Honor 400 series, which is expected to start below $500. The Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro will receive six years of Android OS and security updates, including Android 16 in 2025. However, the already available Honor 400 Lite isn't included in this schedule.
Earlier this year, Honor also announced seven years of Android update support for its flagship, the Magic 7 Pro. According to the company's schedule, the Honor Magic 7 Pro, Magic V3, and the upcoming Honor 400 series are all set to receive the MagicOS version based on Android 16 in 2025. As of now, Android 16 Beta 3 is already available to install on the Magic 7 Pro.
'Building on its long-standing collaboration with Google, Honor is among the first to bring the latest Android experience to its users. This collaboration enables Honor to provide developers with quick access to the latest Android releases, allowing users to experience the most recent and secure Android features without delay,' said Honor in a press release.
Honor's upcoming phone lineup is also the first smartphone series to integrate Google Cloud's Veo 2 capabilities to turn photos into five-second short videos. The company's website has already confirmed major specs. For instance, the Honor 400 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, while the Honor 400 will house the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset.
Interestingly, they feature the same processors as their predecessors, but the six-year update promise is a big step up from the previous three years of software support. The upcoming Honor 400 duo will offer a 6,000mAh battery, 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 200MP primary camera, a slew of AI features, and more.

Pixel 10 Pro Launch Dates Are Later Than Expected

Pixel 9 Pro Fold Ewan Spence Google may be inviting a small pool of influencers to an early preview of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro; however, the rest of the world might have to wait an extra week to see the latest Android-powered flagships. Initial reports suggested an event on Aug 13, but signs now point to a Made By Google event one week later. The new details come from the team at Android Headlines. The event will now take place on Wednesday, Aug 20, with the announced hardware going on retail sale on Thursday, Aug 28. While plans may change, Google is expected to announce four new handsets. The flagship Pixel 10 Pro and the larger Pixel 10 Pro XL will undoubtedly be the backbone of the four phones launched. These will come with the highest spec camera, memory, and storage options, tailored to Google's mobile artificial intelligence vision. Google's third foldable, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, will follow last year's trend and continue to be part of the main line of Pixels. The only non-Pro handset is the Pixel 10, and that might be the most interesting Pixel in terms of positioning and market impact, as I've noted previously: "While the headlines will no doubt focus on the extra features in the Pixel 10 Pro and the larger display of the Pixel 10 Pro XL, the Pixel 10 may have the heaviest impact on the market. The camera's hardware and software will be pushed to the limit, the latest version of Android will steer the conversation around mobile AI towards Google's vision, and the issue of the longevity of mid-range handsets will remain a point of discussion." The proposed dates of Aug 20 for launch and Aug 28 for availability would put the Pixel 10 launch one week later than last year's Pixel 9 family; 2024's Made By Google event was held on Aug 13, with retail releases on Aug 22 for the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL—he Pixel 9 Pro was delayed to Sept. 4. Now read more about the impact of the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro smartphones on the Android market...

Reddit Sues AI Startup Anthropic Over Alleged AI Training

Reddit's lawsuit marks the first time a big tech company has filed a complaint against an AI startup. Reddit filed a lawsuit against AI startup Anthropic on Wednesday, alleging that the $61.5 billion startup used its site as training grounds for AI models without permission. In the 42-page complaint, which was filed in Northern California court on Wednesday, Reddit claimed that Anthropic violated Reddit's user agreement by using the site's data for commercial purposes. Anthropic has allegedly been training its AI models on posts made by Reddit users without their consent. Related: 'Faster, Smarter, and More Relevant': Reddit Tests AI That Combs the Site For You According to TechCrunch, the lawsuit marks the first time a big tech company has legally challenged an AI startup over the material it uses to train AI models. "We will not tolerate profit-seeking entities like Anthropic commercially exploiting Reddit content for billions of dollars without any return for redditors or respect for their privacy," Reddit's chief legal officer Ben Lee told TechCrunch in a statement. Meanwhile, in an emailed statement to CNBC, an Anthropic spokesperson stated, "We disagree with Reddit's claims and will defend ourselves vigorously." In July 2024, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman called out Anthropic, Microsoft, and Perplexity for unauthorizedly scraping the site for training data, and an Anthropic spokesperson assured Reddit that it had stopped. However, since then, Reddit claims to have registered that Anthropic's bots have crawled its site over 100,000 times, per the complaint. Reddit co-founder and CEO Steve Huffman. Photo by FREDERIC J. Reddit struck a $60 million licensing deal with Google in February 2024, which allowed Google to train its Gemini AI on Reddit data. Reddit inked a similar contract with OpenAI in May 2024, so the ChatGPT-maker can refine its AI models from Reddit posts. In the lawsuit against Anthropic, Reddit wrote that OpenAI and Google "are permitted to use public Reddit content but only after agreeing to Reddit's licensing terms," which include provisions to protect user privacy. Anthropic has not agreed to any terms and is using the site's data without permission, Reddit claims. 8 Secrets Only Enterprise SEO Experts Know About Scaling

Scaling SEO is not just about getting more traffic. It's about building smart systems that work across the whole company. Many teams try to grow SEO using shortcuts—more tools, more pages, more keywords—but that doesn't work for long. Real growth needs more than effort. It needs experience. That's where enterprise SEO experts make a difference. They don't guess. They use systems, data, and teamwork to grow traffic without wasting time. These experts know how to plan, scale, and get results—even when the website has thousands of pages. This article covers eight things only they know about scaling SEO correctly. These aren't basic tips. They're proven strategies that work in real businesses. If you want long-term growth without chaos, these are the ideas you need to understand and use. Many companies think growing SEO just means using more tools. That's not true. Real growth starts with having one plan that every team follows. Content, tech, design, and even legal teams should work together. In the middle of this teamwork, enterprise SEO experts play a big role. They make sure every group stays on the same track. This keeps content clean, on-brand, and easier to find online. SEO doesn't slow down when everyone follows the same rules; it speeds up. No mix-ups between departments. Every page follows SEO best practices. Less time fixing mistakes later. With this system, you don't waste time or money. Instead, you get better results across your whole company. That's how real SEO growth happens. If you manage a small website, a spreadsheet may work. But big websites? Not a chance. There are just too many pages. You need smarter tools and better planning. That's where enterprise SEO experts shine. They use big data tools, not Excel sheets. These tools group keywords by topic, buyer stage, and search intent. This helps the business target people in the right way on the right page. Hard to update across thousands of pages No easy way to track changes Misses keyword intent Keyword databases with auto-tags Mapping tools that connect pages to search intent Systems that update in real-time This smart system keeps large websites organized. That means more clicks, better rankings, and a stronger strategy that keeps working even as the site grows. Most websites just throw any internal link without thinking of it. A mistake is to do so. A smart linking indicates Google which pages are of greater importance. Linking also helps users to find what more they need. In between, enterprise SEO experts design linking systems, not just random links. They use rules and patterns to create logical connections across all pages, assisting search engines in crawling the site and improving user flow. From pages with much traffic go links to the pages with little traffic Use anchor text that is keyword-rich Place links as close to the top of the page as possible Key pages rank better Key pages are indexed faster Users spend more time on the site More so, a site becomes easy to use and easy to rank after the right internal links are put on it. A huge win. Fixing broken links and missing tags is good—but it's not enough. When a company has thousands of pages, you can't fix every issue by hand. Instead, enterprise SEO experts build smart systems. These systems catch problems before they go live. They work with developers to add SEO checks to the code process. That way, every new page follows the rules from day one. Automated checks for broken links and tags Fast site speed across all pages Clean code that's easy for Google to read SEO plugins during staging. Monitoring dashboards. Real-time alerts when something breaks. This saves time and protects the site's rankings. A smart system means less worry and more wins. Good writing helps SEO. But when you're making hundreds of pages, good writing alone isn't enough. You need a content system. Enterprise SEO experts solve this by using content templates. These templates include headlines, metadata, links, and design. This way, every writer follows the same format, and every page meets SEO rules. Target keyword and intent. Suggested headings and subheadings. Word count range. SEO tips (like where to use keywords). Fast writing process. Pages look and feel the same. Higher chance to rank well. When content is both fast and good, SEO gets stronger. A design system helps teams move faster without losing quality. Most people think speed means how fast a page loads. That's only part of it. Speed also depends on how content is sent to users. SEO experts know that using a content delivery network (CDN) and edge servers helps. These tools send content from servers close to the user. This cuts wait time. Use a CDN for all assets. Compress images and files. Cache common pages on edge servers. Google ranks faster pages higher. Users stay longer and bounce less. Helps big sites stay fast worldwide. Fast delivery isn't just nice—it's needed. At a large scale, speed can make or break SEO. When many people work on a site, things can get messy. Different writers, designers, and developers might follow their own styles. That's risky. To keep things in control, enterprise SEO experts set rules, called SEO governance. These rules tell teams how to name URLs, use headers, write content, and more. With clear rules, work stays clean. Use hyphens in URLs, not underscores. Keep title tags under 60 characters. Only one H1 per page. Fewer SEO mistakes. Faster content approval. Everyone speaks the same SEO language. Rules aren't boring—they're helpful. They protect the site from SEO problems and keep things running smoothly. Adding schema markup tells Google what your content is about. It helps you get rich results, like stars, prices, and FAQs in search. But enterprise SEO experts go deeper. They use schema to show how content connects. For example, they link authors to articles or products to brands. This helps Google see your site as a clear data source. Article, Product, Review, Person, Organization. Breadcrumb, FAQ, VideoObject. Custom markup for events or services. Boosts trust in your content. Higher chance of rich results. Better understanding by search engines. Schema adds structure. It's not just for looks—it's for meaning. Scaling search the right way isn't easy. It takes more than just tools or content. It takes a clear plan, strong rules, smart tech, and people who know how to make it all work together. The truth is, only experts know how to bring all of this into one system. They don't just build pages—they build machines that grow traffic again and again. With the right systems in place, SEO doesn't slow down as you scale. It speeds up. Whether you run a massive ecommerce site or manage 50 brands, these insights matter. If you want real SEO growth that lasts, think like an expert—and build for the long run. TIME BUSINESS NEWS
