The news came just weeks after the Black Sabbath star performed his farewell gig, 'Back To The Beginning', in Birmingham, alongside the original members of his band.
Song sets were also performed by industry friends and admirers of 'The Prince of Darkness'.
Ozzy had discovered a number of years prior with his wife, Sharon Osbourne, 72, that he was affected by a rare mutation in the PARK 2 gene, which indicated he would become diagnosed with Parkinson's later on in life.
Though no official cause of death has been released, Ozzy's condition showed signs of decline over the years, impacting his speech and ability to walk.

Because of this, Ozzy made the tough decision to perform his final concert sitting a black bat throne, so he wouldn't run the risk of falling over on stage.
Meanwhile, Cooking with the Stars first aired in 2021, with McFly drummer Harry Judd being crowned the winner.

Big Brother's new eye REVEALED: ITV recreate iconic logo once again ahead of upcoming series
As one reality show ends, another begins and fans are already counting down the weeks to the start of Big Brother. And the new Big Brother eye logo was revealed in an exclusive promo during Love Island's live final on ITV2 on Monday. The social experiment show will return this autumn for its third year on ITV, running for an extended total of seven weeks. This year's colourful and abstract eye is filled with multiple eye like marbles rolling around inside it like a maze. The short advert also includes eyes rolling down through multicoloured tubes as the new cast get ready to be filmed 24/7. ITV wrote: 'Eye spy with my little eye, something beginning with ready — Big Brother, the original social experiment, returns!' Hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best once again welcome an eclectic mix of strangers from across the UK who will all become housemates living under one roof. The nation's most renowned residence, the Big Brother house, will yet again play host to all the mischief and mayhem which has undergone a makeover that's easy on the eye. Viewers can expect more new twists and turns, elaborate tasks, intense nominations and live evictions as the cast of housemates go up against one another in a bid to be crowned the winner, and walk away with a life-changing cash prize. The reality TV juggernaut first aired on Channel 4 in 2000 before moving to Channel 5 ahead of its eventual axe in 2018. And since its triumphant return to screens in 2023 on its new home ITV and ITVX, Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother alongside the iconic Live Stream and Late & Live companion show, has been streamed over 100 million times. Last year's Big Brother saw Ali Bromley crowned series champion with a huge 51.9 per cent of the vote, while her house rival Marcello Spooks finished in second place, despite receiving boos from the crowd throughout the series. Earlier in the tense show, Hanah Haji and Emma Morgan were evicted from the Big Brother house, after Segun Shodipo and Nathan King became the eleventh and twelfth contestants to receive the fewest votes. During her stint in the house, Ali did ruffle feathers with her unbiased opinions on the other housemates, and in particular she clashed with Khaled Khaled who she accused of being 'fake.' Last year's Big Brother saw Ali Bromley crowned series champion with a huge 51.9 per cent of the vote Despite the pair parting on good terms when Khaled was evicted in week five, Ali revealed that their exchange at the show's final was 'brief.' Viewers were also gripped by Nathan's blossoming romance with Rosie Williams, but this proved to be short-lived as the pair split back in February, just three months after leaving the show. Nathan shared that they 'amicably' decided to part ways, after they both realised they were 'better off as friends'. Nathan and Rosie met when they entered the Big Brother house in October, and they previously told MailOnline they first grew closer after the first eviction, seven days in. While Nathan said he made it 'glaringly obvious' he wanted to pursue a relationship with Rosie on the outside, they finally got the chance to discuss their feelings when the house was evacuated due to a fire alarm. However, unbeknownst to them, their chat was still picked up by their microphones, and part of it was aired on Late and Live as part of a bombshell episode which revealed their romance for the first time.

Princess Andre shares sad reason she couldn't speak to dad Peter about mum Katie Price
Katie Price and Peter Andre's daughter Princess has revealed that she cried herself to sleep instead of speaking to her dad about her mum's issues Princess Andre has revealed the sad reason why she couldn't speak to her dad Peter Andre about her mum Katie Price following their bitter divorce. In her brand-new ITV series, The Princess Diaries, which airs on Sunday night on ITV, the influencer and model, 18, is set to open up about how her parents' estranged relationship has affected her through her childhood and teenage years. Earlier this summer, Princess announced the exciting news of the ITV show, which will offer a behind-the-scenes look into her life and burgeoning career as a model, focusing on her relationship with her family. It comes after her mum Katie, 47, revealed that Princess has moved out in another swipe at ex Peter. In the first episode of her reality TV series, Princess opened up about why she felt she could never speak to her dad, Peter, 52, about her mum following their bitter split and the fact they haven't spoken in years. During the episode, Princess speaks to her mum on the phone while she's away on holiday in Dubai. After the call, Princess admitted that she and her famous mum are more alike that people would think and revealed that they are now closer than ever - with her mum even baring all on FaceTime. "She had her boobs out," Princess laughed. "She's just casually out of the shower with her top off. Like, she just doesn't care. I never answer the phone to my mum when I'm around people. Because when she's on the phone, she's so unpredictable. "She just lives life. She actually doesn't care and I actually really, really, look up to that. I would love to have that mindset of 'I don't care', because deep down I always do care. I won't show any emotion but then I'll get to my bed and I'll cry and cry and cry. "On my own, I don't handle it very well but to other people I would seem to fine and so good." Princess went on to address not being able to talk to her dad Peter about her mum as she revealed that she has been in counselling. "I do have a counsellor and I do sometimes see her every now and again. But I don't feel like I can really ever talk so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish that I could have had a more happier childhood," Princess admitted. The 18-year-old told the cameras that she had 'so much on her plate' when it came to navigating her childhood with two famous parents who didn't get along. The influencer went on: "I had so many things on my plate at such a young age. "I wish sometimes that it wasn't like that and I could have actually enjoyed it and not had things in the back of my mind so young. Obviously, I had amazing times in my childhood, I have so many amazing memories with my mum and my dad, but I also have lots of not-so-good memories of the time when my mum and Kieran split up." Katie and Kieran officially split in May 2018. While they were married from 2013 to 2021, they separated in 2018, with Katie accusing Kieran of cheating. The divorce proceedings were finalised three years later, in 2021 and the former couple share two children Jett and Bunny. "It happened when I was ten years old and he was in our lives for like five years. So, we got really close to him and obviously we loved him, but he did a lot of stuff and when they split up, everything kind of went downhill with my mum obviously being heartbroken. "She didn't deal with that in the best way. She went through a very, very, dark time which is understandable. But it was hard for me because I was around adult things that kids should never see. "And I think when we needed our mum there, she wasn't emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on." Princess then confessed that she would bottle up her emotions in public but cry alone at home because she felt she was never able to open up to her dad about how she was feeling, because it was all down to her mum's actions and sadness. "I remember coming home from school, and I would literally just cry in bed at 11 years old. I would never go speak to my dad about it because the way I've grown up, I obviously know that my mum and my dad don't like each other, which is fair enough, they are not going to. "I could speak about my childhood and everything that happened and I would be absolutely fine, but then, once something sets me off, and when I actually deep everything, it makes me realise. Then it makes me think that maybe I'm still not over everything, and I'm still not healed from what has happened. "I wouldn't say I'm fully recovered from it, but mum is such a different person now. If you compare her now to how she was back then, she has genuinely really fixed herself. She has apologised to me and I never wanted an apology from her but I think it meant a lot that she kind of acknowledged it. "We're so close now and we do a lot of things together and we talk all the time. I love her. She's like my best friend." The Princess Diaries debuts on ITV2 at 9pm on Sunday.
