ALBAWABA- Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has declared the West Bank 'part of Israel by divine promise,' unveiling a sweeping plan to confiscate thousands of dunams of Palestinian land, invest billions of shekels, and bring one million Jewish settlers to the area. Smotrich, who said he has full backing from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, announced the immediate launch of the long-delayed project to link the Ma'ale Adumim settlement with Jerusalem, known as the 'E1' plan. Critics warn the project will split the West Bank in two, isolate East Jerusalem, and effectively end any prospect for a Palestinian state.
