It was a young girl from Boston, Massachusetts, who was inspired years ago to make her living between the ropes.
However, the
superstar who inspired her to pursue that path was the late, great Eddie Guerrero. The CEO of women's wrestling has stated multiple times that Guerrero has been her lifelong hero, and she paid a fitting tribute to him recently.
Mercedes Mone's homage to Eddie Guerrero was heartwarming on AEW Dynamite
This week's edition of AEW Dynamite took place at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas.
The city was Eddie Guerrero's hometown, and at the same time, a huge night for Mercedes Mone herself. The CEO decided to make it extra special by paying homage to her idol. She was seen arriving at the arena on the back of a lowrider, the same vehicle that Guerrero made famous in the wrestling world.
Eddie Guerrero would make his WWE entrances driving a lowrider to the ringside and showing the car's up and down movement before heading to the ring.
Mone's vehicle did the same as she came out of it and headed straight towards the arena for her scheduled appearance later that night.
Mercedes Mone won a high-stakes match at Double or Nothing
Mercedes Mone had a significant match at AEW's latest pay-per-view, Double or Nothing. She battled fellow AEW star Jamie Hayter in the finals of the prestigious Owen Hart Foundation Cup tournament. Following a hard-fought battle, the CEO emerged victorious with a quick rollup and claimed the accolade.

With her monumental win, Mone is now set to challenge for the AEW Women's World Championship, currently held by "Timeless" Toni Storm. The match will take place at AEW's premier event, All In Texas, in July. She is already the current TBS Champion and Rev Pro Undisputed Women's Champion and is looking to add another gold to her resume. So it will be interesting to see if she can etch another huge win at All In.

R-Truth's net worth and contract details: How much did the WWE legend make?

The WWE released veteran wrestler R-Truth, 17 years after he joined the company and went on to establish himself as a fan favourite. R-TRUTH made the announcement through a post on the social media platform X. "I'm sorry to inform you all. I just got released from WWE," he said Sunday. "I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride. Thank you for all the love, support, and appreciation you have given me over the years. Thank you," the post by R-Truth read. R-Truth's release by the WWE happened as his contract with the company was due to expire and would not be renewed beyond that point. But he has nevertheless carved out a decent net worth for himself. Here is a bird's eye view of R-Truth's net worth and contract details: Ronnie Aaron Killings, better known by his ring name R-Truth, has a staggering net worth of around $3 million, according to a report by Sportskeeda. In the business, R-Truth was primarily endorsed by WWE merchandise sales, WWE shops, and 2K Games. He was also endorsed by the clothing brand Cult of Individuality and featured on the front cover of Your Voice Hip Hop magazine. According to reports, R-Truth's annual salary as part of his WWE contract was $550,000. R-Truth's release ends his second stint with the WWE, which began in 2008. He had a two-year stint in WWE from 1999-2001, but became a prominent star during his time with TNA Wrestling from 2002-07. Although he never won the WWE Championship, R-Truth's 17-year run was memorable. While he first connected with fans as he rapped his entrance music with the "what's up?" chant, he was known for being one of the best comedic wrestlers in the business. He constantly brought laughter to segments and made fellow talent break character on-air. The 53-year-old faced John Cena at Saturday Night's Main Event on May 24. Cena defeated R-Truth in what would be his last WWE match as he retired after the clash.

R-Truth joining AEW? What's next for Ron Killings after WWE release

Ron Killings, known as R-Truth, announced his release from WWE via social media on Sunday, stunning fans and sparking speculation about his future, including a potential move to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). The 53-year-old veteran, who fought John Cena just last week, will be a free agent when his contract expires. In a post on X, platform formerly known as Twitter, R-Truth said: 'I just got released from WWE. I want to thank WWE for the ride, but MOSTLY I want to thank each and EVERYONE OF YOU who was along for the ride.' His post indicates that WWE chose not to renew his deal. Read More: John Cena's bizarre post after R-Truth release sparks speculation: 'Are you behind this?' Now, several fans speculate if R-Truth will join All Elite Wrestling (AEW). However, no official reports confirm AEW negotiations. The Jacksonville-based promotion recently signed talents like Mina Shirakawa, but Truth's name hasn't surfaced in confirmed talks. AEW, valued at $2 billion and the second-largest wrestling promotion, has a history of signing former WWE stars. Truth's comedic style and in-ring experience could fit AEW's diverse roster, which includes veterans like The Young Bucks and younger stars like MJF. However, AEW's roster is crowded. Ron Killings' age (53) might limit him to midcard or mentor roles. Other destinations for R-Truth could include TNA. He could also continue his music career and acting roles. Meanwhile, several WWE stars reacted to Truth's announcement on Sunday. Rhea Ripley wrote that the news was heartbreaking. "In all seriousness, this is literally so heartbreaking… Thank you Truth," she commented on his post. Big E commented: "No one made me laugh backstage more than Ron. I've known this man for 13 years. He treated me like a brother from the very first day. Never saw him in a bad mood. A man who spread kindness and joy every chance he could."
