Auto Driver's Take On Kannada Row Wins Internet: ‘Yeh Thoda Aadmi Log Daru Peeke...'
The auto driver feels that some auto drivers' emphasis on language is simply due to frustration in life and claims that there is no serious problem in Bengaluru
Several language-related conflicts have been reported from some parts of the country. But an auto driver from Bengaluru has become popular on social media for his distinct opinion on the issue. He feels that some auto drivers' emphasis on language is simply due to frustration in life and claims that there is no serious problem in Bengaluru. He believes that everyone is welcome in the city.
The viral footage shows the woman chatting with an auto driver in Bengaluru. She first asks how to utter a few Hindi phrases in Kannada, to which the auto driver respectfully responds. She then asks for his thoughts on the recent Kannada language struggle in Bengaluru. Surprisingly, the auto driver replies, 'Yeh thoda aadmi log daru wagera peke rehta hai, aisa aisa karke jhagda hota hai, warna koi problem nahi hai, acche se rehte hai sab. Nahi kuch nahi hota, bas by mistake ho jaata hai, gusse mein ho jaata hai, kuch ghar ka problem hai toh gusse mein ho jaata hai. Aap city ke andar jaiye, koi problem nahi hai. Bengaluru ke andar sab first class hai. (Some individuals drink and behave aggressively, which is how conflicts start. Otherwise, there's no difficulty; everyone lives in harmony. If something happens, it's either by accident, out of rage, or due to personal issues at home. There are no problems inside the city. Everything in Bengaluru is first-class)."
The woman who posted the clip mentioned that she has stayed in Karnataka for four months and explored beyond Bengaluru, but never had any language problems. She travelled with several cab and auto drivers and was treated well. She added that as long as you are well-behaved, no one minds if you know Hindi.
Internet Reaction To Auto Driver
The video has since gone viral and has garnered a lot of reactions online. A user said, 'Good awareness dear…respect each other…Bangalore people are not that bad!!! They get triggered only when the opposite person tries to trigger them…I have been here in Bangalore for 25 years…Never faced issues with these," another person said, 'I like this auto driver and have a big respect."

Rental cabs, their drivers responsible for road accidents in Goa: Minister
Agency: PTI Panaji, Jul 29 (PTI) The 'Rent-a-Cab' vehicles were in excess in Goa and road accidents were being caused by their drunk and untrained drivers, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has informed the assembly. Godinho also said nearly 95 per cent of Goans want mobile app-based taxi services in the coastal state. Bringing taxis on online platforms will benefit customers and also the owners of these vehicles, he said in the House late Monday evening during demands for grants for his department. The minister said the Rent-a-Cab vehicles were in excess in Goa, which is the main reason for accidents and loss of lives on roads in the state. 'The rent-a-cab vehicles go berserk. There are too many such rental cars. Road accidents are caused because of them," he said. Drunk and untrained drivers of these cabs cause accidents, the minister added. He also said the state government recently published the Goa Transport Aggregators' Guidelines to bring all the taxis on online platforms. The decision was taken after the survey conducted by the state government indicated that 95 per cent of the people wanted the taxi service to be available on mobile application, he said. The guidelines have been kept for the public scrutiny and the state government will take the decision on it only after consulting all the MLAs and the taxi operators, he said. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will soon call for a meeting to discuss and resolve the issue, Godinho said. Who Needs A Hotel? This Tata Yodha Camper Comes With A Rooftop View And A Bathroom
Last Updated: At first glance, the Yodha stands out with bold stickers, off-road bumpers, alloy wheels, and roof-mounted lights. India's overlanding community is growing fast, and one man is taking it to the next level. Having said that, a YouTuber named SufiSwami has turned a 2023 Tata Yodha pickup truck into a full-fledged overlanding beast—complete with a bed, kitchen, bathroom and even an extendable rooftop. The build was recently showcased in a video by Small Town Rider, capturing the imagination of overlanding fans across the country. Why a Tata Yodha? The Tata Yodha is usually seen hauling cargo, not comfort. But this 4×4 version has undergone a massive transformation. The front bumper has been swapped for a rugged metal one with tow hooks, while alloy wheels, auxiliary lamps, and a roof-mounted light bar boost its off-road credentials. Inside, the basic factory seats have been replaced with ventilated, armrest-equipped captain seats wrapped in tan leather. The cabin features a custom roof liner, door trims, and even a 360-degree camera setup using three different screens, painstakingly installed by the owner himself. Other features include foldable seats, woofers, and even a walkway to the living space. What Does the Living Space Offer? The load deck now serves as a cosy mini-home. It includes a bed, fan, kitchen, bathroom, inverter, lights, and air conditioning. There's even an external cooking area, water taps, solar lights, and camping essentials. The biggest surprise is an electrically extendable roof that pops up by 3 feet for scenic views. Performance Under the hood, the Yodha is still a workhorse, running on a 2.2-litre diesel engine delivering 85 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, mated to a manual gearbox. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
