'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Cast Lip Reading

Cosmopolitan24-07-2025
We're currently three episodes into the final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, you're arguing with almost everyone about Team Jacob vs Team Conrad, and you may or may not have purchased several items of Belly's wardrobe. Like, it's SERIOUS.
Meanwhile, the cast has been doing a ton of press for the show, and if you're wondering what their vibe is when they think no one's watching, great news: TikTok-famous lip reader @tismejackieg went ahead and analyzed some red carpet footage of Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno. And happy to report that they're very cute/chill in real life!
There are few things more fun than discovering what celebs are saying to each other when they think no one is paying attention, so bless you, @tismejackieg.
But before we go, quick update on the whole "will The Summer I Turned Pretty follow the books" discourse. The verdict is still out, but just want to point out that Gavin Casalegno recently teased a happy ending for Jeremiah, telling Entertainment Weekly, "It was fun, especially on my side of things, seeing how much the character grew throughout the season and how you could really see the maturity in the decisions towards the end of the series. So the final scenes were kind of a nice, happy button for Jeremiah—at least, I hope that people watching feel that way."
Just in case you're looking to spiral.

Chiefs' Chris Jones reveals marriage hopes after ugly breakup with longtime girlfriend

Chiefs star Chris Jones seems to be looking for love a few months after news of his messy split from longtime girlfriend Sheawna Weathersby broke. In a recent video taken at Chiefs training camp, players were asked to share one thing on their bucket list that they haven't completed yet, with the six-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle zoning in on matters of the heart. 'I just wanna be married, I just wanna be loved,' Jones said in a TikTok shared this week by the Chiefs' official account. Advertisement The comments made by Jones come four months after Weathersby accused the three-time Super Bowl champ of cheating in an Instagram post, saying she ended their nine-year relationship 'months ago.' 'I'm choosing to focus on the positive as I close this chapter on a 9-year relationship. Ultimately Chris' infidelity with the woman he's recently been pictured with led to my decision to end our relationship months ago,' Weathersby wrote in March, seemingly referring to multiple reports that claimed Jones posted a photo of himself with a woman licking his face via Instagram before deactivating his account. TikTok/Chiefs 'This is especially troubling given her history of harassment, stalking and disrespect towards me, including constantly calling and messaging me and my close friends from text free apps and fake Instagram pages. This behavior has forced me to change my number and has forced Chris to ask her multiple times to please leave me alone and respect our coparenting dynamic.' Jones, 31, did not address the infidelity allegations. 4 Sheawna Weathersby the ex-girlfriend of Chris Jones. Terminally Ill Senior Dog Left in Shelter—but There's a Heartwarming Twist

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. A woman online has shared a powerful testament to the healing power of love—and the existence of miracles. In a post to TikTok, Ciera Mueller shared her journey in adopting a senior dog from a local shelter, despite being told he only had one year to live. What ensued was a year and a half of unexpected miracles—but not without challenges. Mueller, 23, spoke to Newsweek about how she was drawn to the timid dog, named Ruthie, who faced a grim prognosis. Mueller said met Ruthie while volunteering at the Humane Society of North Texas. One January day, she found the pup standing in the hallway "shaking," unsure if the dog was cold or scared. So, she sat with her. Photos from Ciera Mueller's TikTok video of her dog, Ruthie. Photos from Ciera Mueller's TikTok video of her dog, Ruthie. @cieramueller/TikTok "I fell in love with her instantly," Mueller said. She immediately inquired about adopting her, but the shelter staff gave her a heartbreaking warning. They told Mueller that Ruthie had mammary gland cancer and a prognosis of about one year to live. The news broke her heart. "I couldn't leave her in there, spending the rest of her life in a cage in a stressful, loud environment," she said. The next day, she took Ruthie home as a hospice foster, determined to give the sweet dog a comfortable and loving final chapter. From Reserved Pup to Family Firecracker Ruthie quickly settled into Mueller's home, where she was welcomed by five college roommates who became her "five aunties," Mueller said. The dog's timidness began to fade as she was showered with love. And, before long, Ruthie was running around the house with "zoomies and constantly wagging her little nub of a tail." Her energy left everyone who met her in disbelief at her prognosis. "Her health seemed to improve within a week of fostering her," Mueller said. "I was unsure if her cancer was spreading, so I took it day by day and tried to enjoy all the time I could with her." The months that followed were filled with love and joy, but also a low-level anxiety for Mueller, who didn't know when Ruthie would decline. A Twist of Fate A turning point came in November 2024, nearly a year after the adoption, when Ruthie suddenly became paralyzed from the neck down after jumping off Mueller's bed. She raced her to a veterinary neurologist, who performed an MRI. The diagnosis was a ruptured disc in her spine, but a secondary, life-altering discovery was made. The doctors told Mueller that Ruthie's cancer had not metastasized, and her scans were negative in regard to any tumors. Mueller was shocked and overjoyed. Ruthie, a true fighter, began to recover. On Thanksgiving Day, she was able to stand again, and with Mueller and her family's help, she learned to walk. "She fully recovered," Mueller said. After this challenging period, she could finally focus on the amazing news. "I was ecstatic," she added. Now, a year and a half after the initial adoption, Ruthie is "happier and healthier than ever." Mueller has officially adopted her, and the senior dog fills her days with "walks, napping on the couch, treats and watching the latest reality TV shows."
