Riot Games extends partnership with Red Bull for LEC and VCT EMEA through 2026
The renewed agreement ensures Red Bull's sponsorship of the LEC through the end of 2026, maintaining its presence in the competition.
As part of the deal, Red Bull retains the naming rights to "Baron Power Play" and will continue to provide beverages to Riot Games staff, players, and commentators at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.
This marks Red Bull's sixth year of involvement in the LEC since its initial partnership in 2019, making it one of the league's longest-standing sponsors.
Similarly, Red Bull's partnership with VCT EMEA extends through 2026, during which it will remain the presenting partner of the "Clutch Moments" segment during the broadcast.
In addition to its broadcast presence, Red Bull plans to organize a series of VALORANT Community Championships throughout 2025 and 2026, with details of participating teams, locations, and formats to be revealed soon.
This extension also celebrates the fifth anniversary of Red Bull's partnership with VCT EMEA, following its first partnership with Riot Games' tactical shooter in July 2021.
The 2025 VCT EMEA season kicks off on March 26, with 12 teams competing for qualification to VCT Masters Toronto, the second Masters event of the year. Meanwhile, the 2025 LEC Spring Split begins on March 29, with 10 teams competing for two slots in the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).

Formula One is a healthier place after the firing of Christian Horner as Red Bull team boss, McLaren chief executive Zak Brown said on Sunday. Speaking to reporters after talks with Horner's successor Laurent Mekies at the Hungarian Grand Prix, the American welcomed the Frenchman's appointment and said his predecessor had crossed a line. "I just left having a chat with Laurent, I'm happy he's in the role he's in," he said. "I like Laurent, and I think that'll be healthy, and maybe we can get back to focusing on competition on the track. "There's always going to be some political aspects to the sport, I think it's going to be healthier with Laurent," he added. "I'm a fan of Laurent, I've known him for a long time and I think it'll be good to go racing against Laurent." Brown and Horner were not friends, to put it mildly, and clashed frequently -- with the former accusing Red Bull of cheating in 2022 when the team were found to be in breach of the 2021 cost cap. The pair raced in British Formula Three and renewed their rivalry as bosses, trading barbs in the media with Horner a "pantomime villain" for audiences of the Netflix series "Drive to Survive". McLaren dethroned Red Bull as constructors' champions last year -- although Max Verstappen won the drivers' crown for Horner's team for the fourth time in a row -- and have been dominant this season. Brown said the Milton Keynes-based team, who dismissed Horner on July 9, had not seemed to be a healthy environment. Horner, who last year faced allegations of misconduct made by a female employee, which he denied and was cleared of after an investigation, has not commented publicly on the reasons for his departure. Brown looked forward to racing Red Bull in the same way McLaren enjoyed competing against Ferrari and Mercedes -- hard on track but celebrating in a more collegiate spirit for the good of the sport. "From a fan's point of view, the drama of the villain stuff I think works, but I also think the celebratory 'fight it out on track but then kind of photobomb each other' ...I think that's a more fun way to go racing," he said. Brown said the rivalry with Red Bull had gone too far, with Horner's accusations about "flexi-wing" breaches and other technical matters. "When you start getting into frivolous allegations, I think that's just going too far, and I think if I look up and down pit lane now, I see us fighting each other hard politically but there being a line that's not crossed," he said. "I think that line got crossed before... so I think that we'll see a little bit of a change for the better."

Verstappen Confirms he is Staying at Red Bull Next Year
Max Verstappen ended weeks of speculation about his future on Thursday when the reigning Formula One world champion said he would be staying with Red Bull next year. Verstappen said it was time to "stop all the rumors.' 'Some people just like to stir the pot, some people just like to create drama. But, for me, it's always been quite clear, and also for next year," the four-time champion said Thursday ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix. "I'm discussing with the team already the plans — the things that we want to change for next year, so that means that I'm also staying with the team for next year.' Verstappen has a contract with Red Bull through 2028. At recent races he had deflected questions about whether he'd stay with the team next year, and there had been indications that a performance-related clause could allow him to exit the contract early. The details of any clause are not public. Mercedes driver George Russell had said he believed his team was holding talks with Verstappen, and speculation was further fueled by reports that Verstappen and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff's yachts were off the Italian island of Sardinia at the same time. 'If my boat is next to Toto's, then the boat is next to Toto's," Verstappen said Thursday. "You can have a personal relationship with someone even if you don't have a working relationship with someone.' Verstappen's comments come less than a month after Christian Horner was removed from his role as Red Bull team principal after 20 years and replaced by Laurent Mekies.

Israeli cyber startup Noma Security raises $100 million in private funding round
Israeli cybersecurity startup Noma Security, whose platform secures enterprise data and AI models against AI agents, said on Thursday it raised $100 million in a private funding round, bringing total funds raised to date to $132 million. Israel's cyber security sector has been active of late and many startups have raised significant sums in funding rounds and in mergers and acquisitions. A surge in cyberattacks, including data breaches and ransomware, has driven demand for more comprehensive defenses and fueled interest in cyber firms. On Wednesday, Palo Alto Networks said it would buy Israeli peer CyberArk Software for $25 billion. It follows Alphabet's $32 billion acquisition of Israeli startup Wiz in March. Noma Security's Series B round was led by U.S.-based venture capital firm Evolution Equity Partners, with continued participation from Ballistic Ventures and Israeli firm Glilot Capital. The latest funds, it said, will be used to further expand its operations across North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa and to more rapidly grow its product, research and development teams in Tel Aviv. Noma Security, which was founded in 2023, came into prominence last November after raising $32 million. The company said it helps organizations 'identify millions of AI and AI agent risks while simultaneously prioritizing and mitigating novel threats at scale.' AI agents are AI systems that act autonomously on behalf of users or organizations.
