Casley was under contract at Portsmouth for the new season but she will take on a new challenge with Oxford United. The Yellows have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player's services.
Portsmouth signed Casley from Oxford United in summer 2023. The player was Oxford United captain on the back of what was her second spell with the third tier club. She was one of Oxford United's prized assets and was a hugely popular member of the squad.
In her time with Pompey, Casley has gone on to make 55 appearances for the club in all competitions. The player helped Portsmouth win the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division title in 2023/2024 while she was a member of the team that battled bravely to secure Barclays WSL2 survival last season.
After re-joining Oxford United, Casley said 'It's the place that I started my career and it's the place that has given me all of the opportunities that I could ever dream of.

'They've built a foundation here now; that's a credit to the work that everyone has done over the years. Managers come and go, staff members come and go, players come and go but it's such a special family-orientated club that you just always want to be a part of.'
Casley is the eighth player to leave Portsmouth since the end of last season.

Furthermore, Ivan Juric's men have already found a replacement for Ademola Lookman. It's Fulham's Rodrigo Muniz, though the Cottagers have rejected Atalanta's opening €40 million offer. Meanwhile, Lookman is refusing to return to Bergamo. Indeed, he is currently in London with his family. He left Atalanta's training camp at the start of August. Therefore, the saga goes on, with time ticking away.

Former Alabama quarterback to reportedly start for ACC program

According to a report from ESPN's Pete Thamel, a former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback is set to start for an ACC program this upcoming season. That quarterback is Dylan Lonergan, an offseason transfer from the Crimson Tide, who, according to Thamel, has won the starting job entering this season at Boston College. The Eagles are currently coached by former Alabama offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien. A former four-star recruit, per 247Sports, in Alabama's 2023 recruiting class, Lonergan was a backup across each of the past two seasons in Tuscaloosa where he saw limited action. With the Crimson Tide, Lonergan completed 7-of-8 passes for 35 yards, while also rushing for 21 yards on two attempts. Lonergan was one-of-two players to transfer this past offseason from Alabama to Boston College, joined by tight end Ty Lockwood.
