Watford Women sign winger Maya Kendell from Bristol City
Watford have signed 20-year-old Maya Kendell from Bristol City as they continue to add to their squad ahead of the 2025/266 Women's National League campaign. Kendell played for the Golden Girls in Saturday's pre-season 4-0 victory over Norwich and has now signed terms with the club. More: Watford announce the sale of Ryan Porteous to LAFC in MLS The winger departed WSL 2 side Bristol City this summer after spending the second half of last season on loan at Exeter City, a divisional rival of Watford's. She can play on either flank and adds pace to Renee Hector's side, who she played against on the final day of last season. Portsmouth defender Casley joins Oxford United
Portsmouth defender Riva Casley has joined FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division club Oxford United on a permanent deal. Pompey confirmed the news via a post on their official club website yesterday afternoon. Advertisement Casley was under contract at Portsmouth for the new season but she will take on a new challenge with Oxford United. The Yellows have paid an undisclosed fee to secure the player's services. Portsmouth signed Casley from Oxford United in summer 2023. The player was Oxford United captain on the back of what was her second spell with the third tier club. She was one of Oxford United's prized assets and was a hugely popular member of the squad. In her time with Pompey, Casley has gone on to make 55 appearances for the club in all competitions. The player helped Portsmouth win the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division title in 2023/2024 while she was a member of the team that battled bravely to secure Barclays WSL2 survival last season. After re-joining Oxford United, Casley said 'It's the place that I started my career and it's the place that has given me all of the opportunities that I could ever dream of. Advertisement 'They've built a foundation here now; that's a credit to the work that everyone has done over the years. Managers come and go, staff members come and go, players come and go but it's such a special family-orientated club that you just always want to be a part of.' Casley is the eighth player to leave Portsmouth since the end of last season.
