Police urge ‘reluctant' witnesses to Sunshine Coast homicide to come forward
Greg Sullivan, who was killed in 2023, is shown in this photo provided by B.C.'s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team. Police say there are people who know what happened the night a man was shot dead on the Sunshine Coast two years ago – and are urging those individuals to come forward to help bring closure to a grieving family. Greg Sullivan, a 56-year-old father of two, died after a shooting outside a home in Halfmoon Bay in the early hours of the morning on June 22, 2023, the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said in an appeal for information Wednesday. 'Our investigative team is aware of several individuals who have knowledge of what happened to Greg that night but are not co-operating with investigators. We are asking those people to provide a statement to police,' IHIT spokesperson Sgt. Freda Fong said, in a statement. 'We acknowledge that some witnesses may be reluctant to come forward for various reasons and to that, we say, 'Give us a chance to address those concerns. Give us a chance to bring some closure to Greg's family.'' In 2023, police said two 'suspects' were taken into custody at the scene, but didn't provide further details. Anyone with information is asked to contact IHIT at 1-877-551-4448 or by email at ihitinfo@
