Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly handed a three-year contract to teenage DDC striker Naledi Hlongwane.
'What I can tell you now is that the promotion process is as good as done. They have already allocated jersey number 35 to him, and he travelled with the team to Durban for the game against Sekhukhune United. He was supposed to have played the game, but they changed their mind at the last minute,' the SL source stated on SoccerLaduma.
'Yes, coming to the contract, it's an initial three-year senior team contract and it will run until June 2028. So, yes, things are working out for the youngsters at Chiefs right now,' he added.
South African winger Ethan Chislett has bounced around the lower leagues in England since 2016 and also had a spell with Reus Reddis in the Catalonian region of Spain. Now, he's set for a move to Kaizer Chiefs.

PSL Club 100: Shalulile and Nomvethe lead the goalscoring charts!
Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile has finally broken Siyabonga Nomvethe's long-standing PSL goalscoring record. It took the Namibia international just 10 years to equal Nomvethe's record, and he did that with just two teams. Shalulile first arrived in the PSL in 2015 when he signed for Highlands Park. He then joined Sundowns in 2020. Now, he has scored 129 goals in the South African topflight, the same number goals scored by Nomvethe during his playing days. It is worth mentioning that Nomvethe officially retired from football in September 2018, meaning his record stood for seven years. The South African takes a look at players – active and inactive – who scored 100 or more goals in the PSL era. Sundowns receive R30 million bid for rising teenager!
Mamelodi Sundowns have received an offer in the region of R30 million for rising teenager Kutlwano Letlhaku. Letlhaku, 19, is one of the future stars unleashed by Sundowns in 2024, and he has gone on to make 20 appearances. Now, according to reports an unnamed Portuguese club has shown interest in Letlhaku, and subsequently put in an offer. This was also confirmed by Letlhaku's agent Matthew Moore to Centre Circle , according to iDiski Times . Moore was blatant in his plea to say the younger players at Sundowns are not the ones who are going to help them win trophies now. He feels this is a good opportunity for players such as Letlhaku to be allowed to go overseas at this age in order to become better. Moore said from the outside, it looks like dreams of young players with intentions to leave Sundowns for Europe die easily. And he hopes this won't be the case with Letlhaku, adding that it would be a tragedy for the player and a missed opportunity for Sundowns. 'No doubt about it and that is a fantastic legacy that the Motsepe family have built with Sundowns. 'But equally, if you are a young player with aspirations to play in Europe, your dreams die at Sundowns. 'It certainly looks like that is the way it's going for Letlhaku and it will be a tragedy for the player – and a missed opportunity for Sundowns – if that happens.'
