Germany Pledges Post-Conflict Aid for Gaza Reconstruction
Germany has expressed its readiness to assist in the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip once conditions on the ground are deemed stable, according to Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Reem Alabali-Radovan.
Speaking during an official visit to Egypt, Alabali-Radovan stated that Germany is committed to supporting critical infrastructure projects in Gaza, including the restoration of water and energy systems, as well as housing development. Her remarks were reported by the German Press Agency (DPA).

emphasized
, however, that such support is contingent upon a durable ceasefire in the region, underlining that aid efforts can only proceed when security conditions allow.
Efforts to broker a lasting truce are ongoing. On July 6, indirect talks resumed in Doha between Hamas and Israel, with mediation by Egypt, Qatar, and the United States.
Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed bin Mohammed al-Ansari noted on July 8 that discussions remain fluid, with mediators working to narrow the gap between the parties' positions. He cautioned that reaching a final agreement will require time.
Germany's commitment signals growing international support for rebuilding efforts in Gaza, pending the resolution of hostilities.

UNRWA Chief Criticizes Airdrops Over Gaza as Inadequate & Dangerous
By Ahmad El-Assasy The Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, has sharply criticized the airdropping of humanitarian aid into Gaza, warning that such efforts are costly, ineffective, and potentially deadly. 10 Palestinians Killed by Israeli Fire in Northern Gaza
By Ahmad El-Assasy At least 10 Palestinians were killed on Saturday after Israeli forces reportedly opened fire on civilians waiting for humanitarian aid in the northwestern area of the Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA. Witnesses said the victims were among a group of residents gathered in hopes of receiving food and supplies in a region devastated by months of continuous Israeli military operations. This latest incident comes amid one of the deadliest and most prolonged conflicts in Gaza's history. Since the start of the Israeli military campaign on October 7, 2023, a total of 59,733 Palestinians have been killed, most of them women and children, with 144,477 others injured, according to local health authorities.
