That is the question on the minds of many analysts outside the nation's capital.
Daniels caught the league by storm last season. He helped Washington win 12 games (an eight-win turnaround from the previous season), and reached the conference title game for the first time in three decades.
The Heisman Trophy winner became the sixth quarterback in league history to reach the conference title game in his first season - joining the likes of Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, and Mark Sanchez.
How in the world can Daniels top that start to a career?
To one former Super Bowl champion, Commander fans may have just seen the start to Daniels' excellence.

In a conversation with Adam Schefter on ESPN, former NFL player and analyst Booger McFarland explained why Daniels could be in for an even bigger jump that his shocking rookie campaign.
"The game slows down, you know what to expect, and how to handle things better,' McFarland said. 'And this kid had a 71 QBR as a rookie. So the sky's the ceiling this year.'
Daniels has Washington thinking about a Super Bowl berth for the first time in decades. He is trying to be the ninth quarterback in league history to lead his team to the Super Bowl in just his second season.
Of those current eight, four of them actually won the big game (Kurt Warner, Tom Brady, Roethlisberger, and Russell Wilson).

Can Daniels be added to that list this season? If McFarland is to be believed, he has as good a chance as any in league history.

Tony Gonsolin was placed on the 15-day injured list Saturday by the Dodgers because of right elbow discomfort, joining fellow rotation members Tyler Glasnow, Roki Sasaki and Blake Snell among 14 Los Angeles pitchers on the IL. NL West-leading Los Angeles activated relievers Kirby Yates from the 15-day IL and Michael Kopech from the 60-day IL before Saturday's game against St. Louis and designated right-hander Chris Stratton for assignment, one day after he rejoined the team. Gonsolin, a 31-year-old right-hander, made his season debut on April 30 after recovering from Tommy John surgery on Aug. 18, 2023, and was 3-2 with a 5.00 ERA in seven starts. He last pitched Wednesday in a 6-1 loss to the New York Mets, allowing three runs — two earned — three hits and three walks in five innings. Other Dodgers pitchers on the IL are right-handers Luis García, Brudar Graterol, Michael Grove, Edgardo Henriquez, Kyle Hurt, Evan Phillips, River Ryan, Emmet Sheehan, Gavin Stone and Blake Treinen.
