The second piece worn by Carey is the ZoZo pastel opal gemstone necklace. Valued at $98,000, the design features a pastel series of lavender, pink spinels, green tourmalines and powder blue sapphires with diamond accents. The gems originate from several countries, such as the statement necklace, as well as tanzanite from Tanzania and aquamarine from Brazil.
Boulder opals from Australia are also included in the design of Mimi So's necklace, featuring 18-karat gold.
'I designed these necklaces with a modern take on wearing art, splashes of paint color,' So told WWD. The pieces are available to order through the designer's website, mimiso.com, and at the Just One Eye store in Los Angeles.
Carey's new necklaces coincide with the release of her forthcoming 16th studio album, 'Here for It All,' which will be released on Sept. 26. The singer tapped Mimi So, who collaborated with Carey's stylist to craft the necklaces, to visually echo the vibrant themes and vibe of Carey's new album.
'She [Carey] is a major connoisseur of jewelry, and she found these to be a fresh take on luxury to celebrate her new album,' the designer said.
The one-of-a-kind accessories will feature throughout Carey's promotional tour for her new album. The singer also wore the pieces in the teaser for her new song 'Sugar Sweet,' featuring Kehlani and Shenseea.
'I am over the moon @mariahcarey an amazing fearless artist gifted herself these two Zozo necklaces! She wore them right out! You have to understand, I grew up listening to MC and a fan of her music! This lifted my spirits today,' So shared on her Instagram account @MimiSoJewelry on July 27, when the teasers came out.

Leonardo DiCaprio reveals passing on this role as his 'biggest regret'

Leonardo DiCaprio not only feels younger than his current age of 50, but he also pines for a role he passed on when he was younger: Dirk Diggler. The Oscar-winning actor told Paul Thomas Anderson, the director of the 1997 film "Boogie Nights," his "biggest regret" is not doing that film with Anderson. The actor had a good excuse in that he had already committed to the role of Jack Dawson in "Titanic," which became a blockbuster when it hit theaters the same year. DiCaprio does star in Anderson's newest film, "One Battle After Another," which hits theaters Sept. 26. A discussion between the two appears in the September issue of Esquire. What to watch: Over 30 years after its debut, this classic film is dominating streaming When Anderson, whose other films include "Licorice Pizza" and "Phantom Thread," asked DiCaprio if he had any career regrets, the actor said, according to the Esquire article, "I'll say it even though you're here: My biggest regret is not doing 'Boogie Nights.' It was a profound movie of my generation. I can't imagine anyone but Mark (Wahlberg) in it. When I finally got to see that movie, I just thought it was a masterpiece. It's ironic that you're the person asking that question, but it's true." In the film, Wahlberg's role is that of Diggler, who becomes a porn star in the 1970s adult film industry. In a commentary track that appears on the DVD and Blu-ray Disc releases of the film, Anderson said he wanted Wahlberg or DiCaprio to play Diggler after seeing their performances in "The Basketball Diaries," notes movie blog Film School Rejects. Also in the Esquire interview, DiCaprio, who has been known to date much younger women, told Anderson he felt like he was 32 years old and "turned emotionally 35 last year." In the upcoming film, "One Battle After Another," DiCaprio plays a one-time revolutionary faced with rescuing his daughter, who has been captured by an alt-right group. Also appearing in the film are Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro. The film is his and Anderson's first together. "I've been wanting to work with you – Paul – for something like 20 years now, and I loved this idea of the washed-up revolutionary trying to erase his past and disappear and try and live some sort of normal life raising his daughter," DiCaprio told Anderson in their discussion. Discussing DiCaprio's role in the film, Anderson says, "He is a nice character, someone who starts out wanting to change the world on the far left but gets increasingly cranky and closed off as he gets older." 'And Just Like That' costume designer never told series was ending

It's the end of the road for New York's iconic fictional fashionista, Carrie Bradshaw. The 'Sex and the City' spinoff series 'And Just Like That' ended after three seasons on Thursday night — concluding the franchise starring Sarah Jessica Parker, which first premiered on HBO in 1998. Now, costume designer Molly Rogers is revealing that she was never officially told the franchise was over. 12 Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw in the 'And Just Like That' series finale. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max 'It wasn't like HBO sent an email saying, 'pack your bags,'' Rogers exclusively told The Post. 'I think that's the only way these days to keep something a secret. Total blackout,' she added. 12 'And Just Like That' costume designers Danny Santiago and Molly Rogers at an event for ''And Just Like That' on June 8, 2023 in New York City. 'I read it and I started thinking,' oh yeah.' There were a lot of little underlying – I feel like – subliminal messages. No one said it [was the end], but in my mind, I always imagined that Carrie would be happily by herself the last time we saw her.' HBO didn't announce that Season 3 would be the final season before it premiered. Showrunner Michael Patrick King and star Sarah Jessica Parker both shared the news on social media on Aug. 1, just two weeks before the series finale aired. 12 Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago attend the 'And Just Like That' Season 2 Special Screening at The Bvlgari Hotel on June 26, 2023 in London, England. 'Which I'm for. I appreciate it,' she said. She added, 'I'm glad, I might have been weeping as I chose the last shoe, or something. I think it's better to be in the dark, and just think of it fondly, and that you gave it your best shot – even not knowing it was the last shot.' Now streaming on HBO Max, the series finale of 'And Just Like That' ends with Carrie alone in her apartment, apparently at peace with being single. In the final shot, she dances around, clad in a sequined pink top and a long pink tulle skirt. 12 Sarah Jessica Parker, in her final Carrie Bradshaw outfit in the 'And Just Like That' series finale. Craig Blankenhorn/HBO Max Rogers, who also worked on 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'Ugly Betty,' told The Post that the sparkly pink top came from Parker herself. 'That last scene, [I was] kind of thinking it could be the end, but even if it just ended up being the end of Season 3, I thought it has the nod to the original tutu,' she said, referring to the tutu that Carrie wore at the beginning of 'Sex and the City.' She explained that the skirt is by Molly Goddard, and she found it in a London runway show. 'And because this episode was set on Thanksgiving, it was cranberry. And that [sequined top] was a personal sweater of Sarah's that Lauren Scott had made, a dear friend.' 12 Sarah Jessica Parker in 1998 wearing the tutu in 'Sex and the City.' Fans criticized the outlandish look, but Rogers said the negative reactions 'really perplexed me.' The 'And Just Like That' costume designer said that the show was 'always intended to be a moving fashion magazine.' Referring to how Carrie donned the now-infamous look during a jaunt to Washington Square Park, Rogers told The Post, 'Did the fans of the show want her to walk through the Washington Square Park eating ice cream in a sun visor?' 12 Sarita Choudhury with Sarah Jessica Parker in the famous hat in 'And Just Like That.' Reflecting on her time on 'Sex and the City' and 'And Just Like That,' Rogers said that it was always exciting to find a fashion 'treasure,' and 'to see [Parker] come into the fitting room and squeal, 'Where did you find this?'' Rogers added, 'I am spoiled for the rest of my life. There's no one that puts on clothes like Ms. Parker.' She joked that it would be 'downhill' after the 'SATC' franchise. 'Now, I'll probably be doing some prison show, or something,' Rogers joked.
