New Harry Potter star's little-known TV past and where you've seen them before
Harry Potter fans have been introduced to the next trio taking over the iconic roles for the TV remake - and one actor has been on screens before. After months of waiting, HBO have confirmed who will be taking on Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
The three young actors are Dominic McLaughlin, who will be playing Harry Potter, while Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout will be starring as Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley respectively.
Harry Potter's executive producers Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod said in a statement that they are "delighted" to reveal new stars after an "extraordinary search", which began back in September last year.
Based on JK Rowling's hit novels, the TV series will be a faithful adaptation of the books, according to HBO. While the trio have been dubbed as newcomers, many fans have been stunned to find out they have seen Hermione's actress before.
Following in the footsteps of Emma Watson, who landed the mega role when she was 11-years-old, Arabella has already had a taste of the small screen.
She has featured on both television and in theatre after studying at some of the country's most well respected acting schools. Arabella, who also goes by Bella, began her career at Aldance, a studio in Bracknell that offers dancing classes for children from 18 months to adulthood.
She then moved onto the prestigious British Theatre Academy and the Guildford School of Acting. In 2013, Bella landed her first role when she was cast as the star character Matilda in the West End production, Matilda The Musical.
The actress was the production's youngest cast member as she took on the six-month acting period in September 2023. She even featured on BBC's The One Show for World Book Day as Matilda.
Bella impressed on the stage and helped to land her the part of Control in Andrew Lloyd Webber's 2024 London revival of Starlight Express.
Acting isn't Bella's only enjoyment as she plays hockey for her local club and spends time skiing and horse riding. The young star also competes in swimming galas and triathlons and can even play the clarinet.
Fans have also noticed Bella has a striking resemblance to Wednesday actress Jenna Ortega. The American actress was a child star in Jane The Virgin and shot to stardom thanks to her Netflix role as Wednesday Addams.
Many fans pointed out their similar looks as one said: "Arabella Stanton looks like young Jenna Ortega or is it only me??? Hermoine in HBO's #HarryPotter series."
Another added: "Arabella Stanton looks like a young Jenna Ortega." Someone else commented: "Arabella who? That's clearly a young Jenna Ortega."
When announcing the trio, Harry Potter's executive producers said: "The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen.
"We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It's been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.'

Spider-Man 4 crews set up production as Glasgow city centre transformed into New York ahead of filming
Filming is expected to take place at various times on different streets for around two weeks LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION Spider-Man 4 crews set up production as Glasgow city centre transformed into New York ahead of filming Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) SOME of Glasgow's busiest streets have been transformed over the last few days as Hollywood production teams rolled into town. Streets in the city centre have been converted to look like the roads in New York as crews prepare to film the new Spider-Man movie. The eagerly awaited sequel will see Tom Holland reprise his iconic role and is set to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. It is believed that Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink has been cast to star alongside Holland. Filming is set to underway this weekend, and cameras will officially begin rolling on Friday, August 1. And over the last few days, production crews have been hard at work to turn the city centre into New York City. Several American flags have been hung up on buildings along Bothwell Street. Huge banners have also been put up on the set with a design similar to that of the US flag. The UK traffic lights were also in the process of being temporarily taken down today. They are set to be replaced with the traditional yellow traffic lights seen on the other side of the Atlantic. Different street signs and advertisements have also been put up around the area. Hollywood hunk spotted on Glasgow street as filming for major blockbuster gets underway Some are advertising apartments for rent with American phone numbers on them, while others are advertising businesses and services with US addresses. The current street signs have also been covered up with black tape. Filming is expected to take place at various times on different streets for around two weeks. However, it means that a number of roads will be closed throughout the city for over two weeks as a result. We previously told how traffic in some areas will come to a near standstill as drivers will be forced to make their way along set-up diversion routes. The closures are being implemented by Glasgow City Council, which has warned that bus and taxi lanes will also be impacted, with a suspension in place. A section of the following roads will be closed to all vehicles between Friday, August 1, and Saturday, August 9: Bothwell Street Wellington Street West Campbell Street Blythswood Street Douglas Street Pitt Street The full length of Cadzow Street and Oak Street will also be fully closed on August 9. Top filming location BACK in November, Glasgow was transformed into a dystopian New York as filming got underway for The Running Man, a reboot of the classic Arnold Schwarzenegger film. Glen Powell was spotted filming in and around the city, and he even popped into The Locale in Charing Cross for a wrap party. Rumours are swirling that director Abrams' new film is an 80s throwback loosely inspired by The Last Starfighter, but the title remains unknown. And more filming crews are set to swarm the city for Spider-Man 4. Some scenes being shot will reportedly 'involve vehicles on the road', with crews anticipating that Bothwell Street will be the focal point. It is understood that the Glasgow-based shoot for the upcoming Marvel blockbuster will commence in mid-August. Other films that have been shot in the city over recent years include World War Z, which used George Square to represent Philadelphia, and was also transformed into Gotham City for Batgirl and The Batman. Other notable films shot in Glasgow include Skyfall, Avengers: Infinity War, Fast & Furious 6, Trainspotting, and Perfect Sense. More roads will also be closed from Saturday, August 9, until Wednesday, August 13, for further filming. These include parts of: Hope Street Queen Street Renfield Street South Frederick Street St Vincent Street Ingram Street West Nile Street Drury Street (for its full length) Filming is then set to move further along into Merchant City after Wednesday, August 13. This means that cars will not be able to drive down the following roads between then and Saturday, August 16: Wilson Street Brunswick Street Hutchison Street Candleriggs Scenes are also expected to be filmed on Glassford Street and Virginia Street on Thursday, August 14, and Friday, August 15. 7 The UK traffic lights are in the process of being taken down Credit: Les Gallagher 7 While the current street signs were covered up Credit: Les Gallagher
