AMD has officially unveiled the Radeon RX 9000 Series, powered by the RDNA 4 architecture, bringing enhanced performance, AI-powered features, and next-gen ray tracing to PC gamers. The launch includes the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070, delivering up to 40% higher gaming performance than their predecessors.
During the global launch event, AMD executives highlighted key advancements, including upgraded AI accelerators, improved ray tracing, and support for DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b for ultra-high-resolution gaming. The Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 come with 16GB of memory and leverage FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) for AI-enhanced upscaling in over 30 games at launch.
AMD's HYPR-RX technology further optimizes gaming performance through AI-driven enhancements, while the Radiance Display Engine enables 8K 144Hz and 12-bit HDR visuals. Benchmarks show the RX 9070 XT outperforming the previous-gen RX 7900 GRE by 40% on average at 1440p.
The Radeon RX 9000 Series will be available starting March 6, 2025, from leading board partners, including ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire, and XFX. The RX 9070 XT is priced at $599, while the RX 9070 starts at $549.
