Body found in a pond identified as Morehouse student who disappeared after crash
Kyle Coleman disappeared on June 7. Police in Fairfax County, VA. found his car without him inside it and said they believe he had a medical emergency before a crash.
Days later, police found a body in a pond near the site. On Wednesday, Coleman's family confirmed it was his body. Morehouse College released a statement mourning his loss.

'It is with profound sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news that Kyle Coleman '28, a rising sophomore majoring in business administration with a finance concentration from Gainesville, Virginia, has passed away after having been reported missing over the weekend. Student Services has been in close contact with Kyle's family throughout this tragic time and will continue to offer them our full support. Our entire Morehouse family grieves this unimaginable loss,' officials wrote in a statement.
Morehouse College said Coleman was active in several organizations. He served in the Morehouse Business Association, LightHouse, the Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Certificate Program and the Consultants Club.
The school wrote that Coleman also loved to play pickleball, basketball and tennis. He was also learning how to play the guitar.

Morehouse College says counseling services are available for students and employees in need of support.
'We ask that you keep his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this heartbreaking loss,' Morehouse officials said. 'May we honor Kyle's life by holding tightly to community, ambition, and peace.
Coleman is survived by his mother, Cimmerian; his father, Keith, who graduated from Morehouse in 1995; brother, Christopher; and sister, Kayla.

Boyfriend speaks out after Sha'carri Richardson's domestic violence arrest at airport
American sprinter Christian Coleman defended his girlfriend Sha'Carri Richardson after the Olympic track and field star was arrested for domestic violence at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport last month. During an interview Citius Mag at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships, Coleman explained that he didn't think Richardson should've been arrested and that he hates negative narratives surrounding them. 'For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round,' said Coleman, who competed in the 100 and 200 meters and failed to qualify for next month's world championships. 'I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody. 'But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love. I hate the narrative too… its so negative. In the state of Seattle, even talking to the cop to whatever, he was like, 'There is really nothing I can do.'' TSA notified police about a disturbance between Richardson and Coleman, according to the AP. An officer that reviewed camera footage observed that Richardson grabbed Coleman's backpack and yanked it and that Coleman was shoved into a wall. Christian Coleman, Sha'Carri Richardson's boyfriend, speaks out about her arrest
EUGENE, OR — Christian Coleman defended Sha'Carri Richardson after an alleged incident at the at the Seattle–Tacoma International Airport in which Richardson was arrested for domestic violence, according to the police report obtained by USA TODAY Sports. Police say Coleman was the victim in the incident. "For me personally, I feel like it was a sucky situation all round," Coleman said Sunday. "I don't feel like she should have been arrested. I mean people have discussions and emotions and stuff like that. She has things that she needs to work on for herself, of course. So do I, so do you, so does everybody. But I'm the type of guy who's in the business of extending grace, and mercy and love." Coleman competed in the 100 and 200 meters at the U.S. Track and Field Championships. He failed to qualify for next month's world championships. He ran a season-best 9.86 in the 100 and placed fifth. He placed sixth in the 200, running a season-best 20.02. The sprinter said incident at the airport didn't affect him at the U.S. championships. Coleman is a three-time world championship gold medalist. He won the 100 at the 2019 World Championships. She automatically qualified for this year's world championships due to being the defending champion. Richardson didn't qualify in the 200.
