Arguably nothing tastes better alfresco dining than food cooked on a BBQ plus, if you choose well, it impresses the friends and neighbours, as long as you don't undercook the meat or burn the veggie kebabs.
There are a myriad of choices of BBQ available to buy but as part of Amazon Prime Deal Day the VonHaus Charcoal x-large portable BBQ has been reduced by 36% from £199.99 to £127.49.
According to the manufacturer, features of the 2-in-1 grill and smoker BBQ include a temperature gauge to monitor the charcoal BBQ without lifting the lid, and then to refuel, simply open the front door and add more – no need to remove the enamel coated, easy to clean grill. With wheels and handles and side shelves that fold down, the BBQ is easy to move about too - including into the shed when it starts raining!
One delighted customer felt compelled to provide their feedback, saying: "Best grill I ever bought. I don't usually write reviews but I want to say that this is one of the best products I have ever bought from Amazon. The sheer size of the grill space, the build quality and how beautiful it is. It's also super easy to clean with the ash tray below. Assembling the BBQ once it is delivered appears to be a standard scenario for any product purchases and feedback about the VonHaus Charcoal x-large portable BBQ self-assembly included one buyer who says: "Looks as good as the description. Took about 1 hour to assemble but definitely worth it. Very professional BBQ and goes together if you follow the instructions."
However, one customer was not impressed with the build quality, saying: "It was ok but took a while to assemble and it wasn't made that well so made it really hard in places to get the screws in. Not as good quality as I'd expected for the price."

Layoffs soar 140% as the unspoken job threat gathers steam
Layoffs have risen 140 percent from a year ago, a new report reveals. Companies have already announced more than 800,000 job cuts this year alone, the highest since the pandemic upended the economy in 2020. US-based employers cut 62,075 jobs in July compared to 25,885 in the same month last year. The damning figures represent a 29 percent leap from the month before where 47,999 people lost their livelihood, according to a report from career advice firm Challenger, Gray & Christmas. Some companies — such as Procter & Gamble — have been more elusive about the reasons behind mass cuts, blaming it on restructuring, 'automation and digitization.' However, Challenger, Gray & Christmas analysts found that the biggest impact on job losses this year was the relentless march of AI and the knock-on effects of Trump's tariff policies. 'AI was cited for over 10,000 cuts last month, and tariff concerns have impacted nearly 6,000 jobs this year,' report author and labor expert Andrew Challenger said. Most jobs have been cut in the tech industry, where 89,251 have been cut in the first seven months of the year. 'The industry is being reshaped by the advancement of artificial intelligence and ongoing uncertainty surrounding work visas, which have contributed to workforce reductions,' the report stated. Among the tech companies slashing the wage bill is Amazon where CEO Andy Jassy said he plans to reduce the company's corporate workforce as AI will make certain roles redundant. 'As we roll out more generative AI and agents, it should change the way our work is done,' he told employees in an internal memo. The company is betting big on AI recently revealing plans to splash $100 billion on data centers that the technology depends on. It has pumped further billions into startup Anthropic, the CEO of which recently warned AI could wipe out half of all entry-level white-collar jobs. An increasing number of Wall Street CEOs have also warned about how the rise of AI will take a sledgehammer to jobs. 'Artificial intelligence is going to replace literally half of all white-collar workers in the US,' Ford CEO Jim Farley said earlier this month. Silicon Valley titan Intel also announced it would be cutting 25,000 roles in 2025, its second major round of job cuts in two years. US issues exemption for self-driving Zoox vehicles, closes probe
Aug 6 (Reuters) - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Wednesday it has certified (AMZN.O), opens new tab self-driving unit Zoox vehicles for demonstration use and closed a probe into whether they had complied with federal requirements. The U.S. auto safety agency in 2022 began a probe into whether the self-driving vehicles lacking traditional driving controls had met federal safety requirements when the company self-certified the vehicle. Zoox in June applied for an exemption from some requirements and NHTSA granted it, saying all of purpose-built vehicles manufactured by Zoox now operating on public roads in the United States are doing so pursuant to an exemption issued by the agency. The Trump administration in June said it would move faster on self-driving exemption requests to deploy up to 2,500 self-driving vehicles after prior proposals from General Motors(GM.N), opens new tab and Ford(F.N), opens new tab to deploy vehicles without steering wheels and brake pedals lingered for years and were eventually withdrawn. NHTSA's approval includes the requirement Zoox remove all existing statements that the purpose-built vehicle complies with applicable federal motor vehicle standards.
