MLB Reveals Exciting Chipper Jones News on Monday
With All-Star Week fast approaching, baseball fans are already buzzing about the 26th edition of the All-Star Futures Game.
Set for July 12 at Truist Park in Atlanta, this seven-inning showcase highlights the game's brightest minor-league prospects.

However, this year's matchup carries extra significance for Braves Country.
On Monday, Major League Baseball confirmed that two of Atlanta's most celebrated alumni will take the reins in the dugouts.
Hall of Famer Chipper Jones has been appointed manager of the National League Futures squad, while two-time All-Star Marquis Grissom will helm the American League team.
The announcement was shared via MLB's official X account.
Drafted first overall by the Braves in 1990, Jones spent his entire 19-year career in Atlanta.
He slashed .303/.401/.529 across 2,499 games, amassing 468 home runs and 1,623 RBIs.

An eight-time All-Star, Jones won the National League MVP in 1999 and helped lead the Braves to the 1995 World Series championship.
Grissom, meanwhile, was a two-time National League stolen base leader (1991-92) and four-time consecutive Gold Glove winner (1993-96).
He spent 17 seasons in the majors with six clubs, posted a .272 career batting average, swiped 429 bases, and drove in 967 runs.
A two-time All-Star, Grissom also earned the 1997 ALCS MVP and played a key role in the Braves' 1995 World Series win.

As part of All-Star Saturday, the Futures Game offers a first look at tomorrow's stars before the Midsummer Classic on July 15, also in Atlanta.

Social media has been ablaze with controversy as Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns has received loads of criticism for his uneven performance during the Eastern Conference finals against the Pacers. Towns, whom the Knicks acquired shortly before training camp, has been the center of potential trade rumors as fans clamor for a big move to put the team over the top. But former three-time Sixth Man of the Year Lou Williams wants fans to ease up. 'They gotta get off KAT back,' Williams said on 'Run it Back' recently. 'We also gotta stop allowing X and Instagram to be our GMs. Ain't a lot of KATs laying around where you can just get rid of him and feel like you're going to have a better opportunity to win basketball games. 'If you got an opportunity to go get a Giannis (Antetokounmpo) or somebody, sure, you take a look at everything. Former MLB player Jason Conti, who played for Arizona Diamondbacks, dies at 50
The Arizona Diamondbacks announced the death of former outfielder Jason Conti on social media Monday. He was 50 years old. "We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of former outfielder Jason Conti," the team posted on X. "Our thoughts and prayers are with Jason's family and friends at this time." Conti was drafted by the Diamondbacks in their first MLB draft class out of Pittsburgh in 1996. He played for the Diamondbacks in 52 games in 2000 and 2001, hitting .232 with one home run and 15 RBIs before being traded with Nick Bierbrodt to the Tampa Bay Rays for Mike DiFelice and Albie Lopez. Advertisement He later became a chef and in recent years had worked as chef for Craftsman Cocktails and Kitchen in Tempe. Conti also played for the Milwaukee Brewers and Texas Rangers, seeing action in 182 games over his five-year career, with six home runs, 47 RBIs and a .238 batting average. Kevin Kramer, Conti's teammate at Pittsburgh, shared last month on Instagram that Conti was on life support after suffering a severe brain injury, but details of his injury were not released. "Today I share the worst news imaginable - my friend, my Pitt teammate and @mlb @dbacks World Series champion Jason Conti suffered a severe brain injury and is on life support," Kramer posted. "Unfortunately, he is not going to survive past the weekend. I'm devastated - as a team we are devastated. Rest in peace my friend."
