Speaking in the recent episode of the hit ITV show 'Fletcher's Family Farm', Liz Fletcher - wife of former Emmerdale actor Kelvin - said the success of Stag Cottage had "gone above and beyond our expectations".
But the couple recently took to Instagram to reveal their popular home does not allow pets – upsetting some dog lovers in the comments.
'I get asked this question a lot so thought this may need to be a grid post,' they said in a post. 'We love dogs but not in the cottage!
The post shows a screenshot of a fan asking why the property is not dog friendly. The pair answered: 'The cottage had been finished to the highest standard, I know people love their dogs but I love my furniture and beautifully smelling cottage more!'
Fans were quick to voice their support in the comments, one saying: 'Absolutely the right decision. I never book a place if dogs are allowed to stay there.'
Another added: 'Someone might have an allergic reaction to dogs, I love dogs but always book a cottage which doesn't allow animals,' while another said: 'You shouldn't have to justify your decision. Dogs frighten many animals and many animals frighten dogs. It's not worth putting your farm animals through any discomfort or dealing with guests who's dogs get spooked.'
However, some didn't agree with the statement, saying: 'Feel I have to reply - it's your cottage your rules BUT….. not all dogs smell and actually some are very well behaved - bit unfair to tarnish them all the same - I do understand though - there are others (and owners too) who are not - so I understand.'
Another said: 'I'd rather stay somewhere that allows dogs rather than kids!!!,' while one fan added: 'Some people smell to. Just saying.'
One commenter said: 'Don't think this was the best choice of wording. You love your material things more than someone loves their living pet.'
The couple's show, Fletchers' Family Farm is now in its second series and broadcasts every Sunday morning on ITV1.
It offers a glimpse into the Fletcher's family life living in Wincle, in the hills above Congleton and Macclesfield.
The couple resides on their expansive 120-acre farm alongside their four young offspring. Fans of the show have watched Kelvin, who once portrayed the character of farmer Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, embrace his actual farming duties.
He said during the latest episode: "Like a lot of farmers we have to diversify to generate extra income to support our livestock and this year one of our most profitable streams has come from our cottage that we renovated and converted for people to stay in."
The overnight stay can be booked via Sykes Holiday Cottages where it's already been racking up five star reviews.
One reviewer, Rich, said last month: "The cottage had everything we needed and we received fast and helpful advice and support from Liz. I'd recommend Stag Cottage as an idyllic, quiet and cosy home for anyone's restful holiday. Nearby we found nice villages, pubs and amazing walks. Many thanks for the opportunity to enjoy your lovely home."

'Lovely' pub that's opened in former home of Coronation Street's Rovers Return
A new pub opened in Manchester this month and it used to be home to the Rovers Return pub on the Coronation Street set. The Stables Tavern, which was also once a stable, is a pub 'built for locals' as well as anyone who is seeking 'the simple joy of a good drink in good company.' From beers to cocktails and even a snack menu, this new Manchester pub has plenty to offer. The pub owners explain on its website that it's 'a historic tavern reimagined in the heart of Manchester centre, where everyone is welcomed like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth.' The Stables Tavern on Grape Street is steeped in history: 'On the corner of Bonded Warehouse sits the Tavern that fed Manchester's Industrial Revolution. 'Nestled in the heart of St John's stands the Stable's Tavern, the heart of the St John's industrial age and the watering hole for workers, merchants and radicals alike.' The Manc shared the pub's connection to the iconic ITV soap and what visitors can expect: 'Inside, punters will find multiple beer taps with local beers, served with complimentary bowls of crisps as well as a menu of pub snacks like handmade sausage rolls and local pies.' With an outdoor terrace and a parlour area plus a bar, the pub has lots of space for customers to enjoy sipping their pints. Heidi Klum Dances While Gardening in an Itty-Bitty Nude String Bikini
Heidi Klum shared a selfie video on Instagram of herself dancing as she watered the plants in her garden in a nude-colored string bikini. Klum's video is part of her campaign for Calzedonia. She has shared a number of shots of herself in Calzedonia bikinis in recent weeks along with an image of herself in nothing but Calzedonia Klum has been doing some rather unorthodox gardening this week. In a new Instagram post, the model and TV presenter filmed herself watering her plants while dancing in a nude string bikini. In the video, she gazed into the camera as she flung her blonde hair around to Tate McRae's "Sports Car" as her dog walked around in the background. She wore a smokey eye look, chunky gold earrings, and white sandals alongside her nude-colored bikini. "Did you know that I have hazel eyes? 🌰👁️," she wrote in the caption, referencing a lyric from the song, before tagging Calzedonia. Klum has posted a number of shots of herself in Calzedonia's swimwear and hoisery in recent months. In April, for instance, she shared a snap of herself going pantsless at the sound studio to show off her Calzedonia stockings. Last year, Klum opened up about her confidence in wearing skimpier outfits. 'I'm not shy about my femininity. I love dressing up where I have my cleavage showing, wearing miniskirts, high heels, gorgeous stockings—but that doesn't mean I want to go home with you,' the model said to The Times. One day before posting her latest bikini video, Klum shared a rare video of her son Johan, whom she shares with Seal, graduating from high school. "Cheering you on today and every day ❤️ CONGRATULATIONS JOHAN 🎓🥳🙏❤️ my heart is full of joy and pride ❤️❤️❤️❤️," Klum captioned the post. A few weeks earlier, she made a rare joint appearance with Henry, her other son with Seal, at the AMA awards. Read the original article on InStyle

What's Known About Brian Wilson's Cause of Death & Health Issues
At the time he died, legendary Beach Boy Brian Wilson was dealing with a series of serious health issues. The maestro behind the band's famous "California sound," Wilson passed away at age 82, according to a June 11 post by his family on Instagram. How did Wilson die? That post did not specify an official cause of death, and one has not yet been released. However, there is much known about the health problems he was dealing with before his death. In 2024, Wilson had declined to the degree that a Los Angeles court put him under a conservatorship, USA Today reported. Wilson had suffered the blow of his long-time wife Melinda's death; when she died at age 77 in January 2024, he memorialized her as his "savior," saying he was "lost." His decline at the time was attributed to an undefined "neurocognitive disorder," but it was later revealed that he had been diagnosed with dementia. Court filings in the conservatorship, seen by TMZ, revealed that Wilson was dealing with a "major neurocognitive disorder" and "taking medication for dementia," making it so he could not "properly care for his basic personal needs such as food, clothing, or shelter." That May, his daughters, Carnie and Wendy Wilson, opened up about his condition to Entertainment Tonight. Brian Wilson was well enough to attend the premiere of the Disney+ documentary on the Beach Boys. "He is doing great! He is doing great. Every day he is in physical therapy. I'm cooking for him, he's spending a lot of time with his children now, his family," Carnie said to ET. "I'm so happy he's here tonight." Throughout his life, Brian Wilson also dealt with "a rabbit hole of despair and depression when his highly anticipated masterwork was shelved unfinished," the Los Angeles Times reported. The Times also reported that Wilson was diagnosed with dementia after the death of his wife Melinda, which led to him being placed in the conservatorship. Wilson's family announced his death on June 11, writing on his Instagram page, "We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family is grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy." Brian Wilson, his brothers, and two other band members made music history with their California sound, which made them "international ambassadors of surf and sun," KTLA-TV Known About Brian Wilson's Cause of Death & Health Issues first appeared on Men's Journal on Jun 11, 2025
