Iran mobilizes thousands of missiles targeting Israel's nuclear facilities and US bases
ALBAWABA - Iran has positioned thousands of missiles for instant deployment as part of its heightened military preparedness amid escalating tensions with the United States.
According to reports from Maariv, a senior military source said that the missiles are aimed toward U.S. military outposts in the area as well as Israel's nuclear installations.
The escalation comes after Tehran and Washington traded a number of threats. Orders have been issued by the Iranian General Staff to increase readiness for a prompt reaction in the event of an assault.
According to the source, more than 1,000 hypersonic ballistic missiles have been prepared, with Israel's nuclear facilities serving as the main targets. Based on information obtained, these missiles are targeted not just Israel's nuclear plant, Dimona, but also other critical locations in central Israel.
Fears of a wider battle have been heightened by the Iranian military's rockets being aimed at American sites in the area in addition to these threats.
Senior military officials are pleading with Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, to reevaluate his fatwa that forbids the creation of nuclear weapons, the source further said. Additionally, there are demands to leave the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) because of growing dangers, foreign pressures, and the presence of Donald Trump, the president of the United States, who some fear may act hastily.
