Martin Scorsese Announces Documentary Featuring Pope Francis' Final Interview
'With exclusive, unrestricted access to Scorsese's private archives, the documentary series is anchored by extensive conversations with the filmmaker himself and never-before-seen interviews with friends, family, and creative collaborators.'
Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mick Jagger, Robbie Robertson, longtime editor Thelma Schoonmaker, Steven Spielberg, Sharon Stone, Jodie Foster, screenwriter Paul Schrader, Margot Robbie, and Cate Blanchett are among the collaborators interviewed for Mr. Scorsese, along with the 82-year-old director's children, wife Helen Morris, and close childhood friends.
While Scorsese has helmed dozens of documentaries on subjects like Bob Dylan, The Last Waltz, George Harrison, Fran Lebowitz, and love of cinema, Mr. Scorsese marks the first career-spanning documentary about the director himself.
'I am so grateful to have been given the artistic freedom and access to create a cinematic portrait of one of our greatest living artists, Martin Scorsese,' Miller said in a statement (Miller is married to Daniel Day-Lewis, who starred in Scorsese's Gangs of New York and also appears in Mr. Scorsese).
'His work and life are so vast and so compelling that the piece evolved from one to five parts over a five year period; crafting this documentary alongside my longtime collaborators has been one of the defining experiences of my life as a filmmaker.'
Apple TV+ has not yet announced the release date for Mr. Scorsese.

Mariah Carey Returns With Fiery Single ‘Type Dangerous'
Mariah Carey has released a new single, 'Type Dangerous.' The song is the pop singer's first new release in several years, with her most recent album, Caution, arriving in 2018. The track presumably teases her next LP. 'Looking for the dangerous type,' she croons on the upbeat number. 'I like them dangerous/ That's my type/ I said I love them dangerous.' Carey has been teasing new music on social media all week, including clips from the official lyric video for 'Type Dangerous.' In one clip, the singer is seen listening to a mysterious track called 'T:D_MC16.mp3.' Her car's license plate reads: MC16. Both likely reference her 16th studio album being on the way. Carey recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of her album The Emancipation of Mimi with The Emancipation of Mimi (20th Anniversary Edition) and an additional digital deluxe edition. 'When you sit down and go through the whole Emancipation of Mimi as an album, and go, 'Some of these songs were a little bit more that way or a little bit more this way,' it's just really interesting,' Carey told Rolling Stone last year as she prepared to kick off her Las Vegas residency. 'I love the album so much that it's hard to pick it apart and go, 'Oh, I like this part less than I like that part.' It really is one unit.' The singer released Caution, her 15th LP, in 2018. In a review, Rolling Stone called it 'thrillingly current without swallowing Carey's charm.' Addison Rae's Long-Awaited Debut Album ‘Addison' Is Here
Addison Rae's debut album Addison is here. With her first full-length project, she's also releasing the video for her latest single 'Times Like These.' Rae's Addison comes a year since she first began teasing new music. Last June, she posted a video of her underwater as the then-unreleased track 'Aquamarine' played over it. Lead single 'Diet Pepsi' was dropped in August, with 'Aquamarine' officially arriving a couple months later. Ahead of the album, she unveiled five total songs off the LP, all with their own videos. The visual was directed by photographer Ethan James Green. Rae's debut album was written and produced by Rae with Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, both of whom are Max Martin's protégées. 'We were both shocked [that] her taste leaned very left and underground at times,' Kloser told Rolling Stone in Rae's cover story earlier this year. Addison arrives nearly four years after Rae first tried to make the jump from TikTok stardom to pop. She released her first single 'Obsessed' in 2021, which ended up not taking off as she hoped. She ended up scrapping her first EP, but after the songs leaked and generated buzz online, she put them out in 2023. Rae has since signed to Columbia Records. Before unveiling her solo songs, she further cemented more Main Pop Girl points by appearing on a remix of Charli XCX's 'Von Dutch.' She has performed the song live with XCX at a Brat release show in Los Angeles as well as the UK star's 2025 Coachella set.
