‘Create some championships or shut up': Fans slam Cowboys owner Jerry Jones over 30-year hiatus
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones recently attended the premiere of the Netflix series, 'America's Team,' at The Egyptian Theatre Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Jones shared a vital fact about the Cowboys at the premiere.
The 82-year-old American billionaire businessman said, 'The Cowboys enjoy great visibility in all of the cities and towns that aren't NFL teams. We have a very big following, both the ones that want to see us getting our ass kicked and the ones that want to see us win.'
A video clip from the premiere was shared by Jon Machota of The Athletic on X. One X user commented, 'Create some championships, Jerry, or shut up.' Another said, 'The first group of followers have been winning for 3 decades, unfortunately.'
A third fan wrote, 'So what, same story since the 1900s.' What was the story? Let's find out.
It needs to have some conflict and some interest
Jerry Jones shared at the premiere that the Dallas Cowboys team could win three Super Bowls in the 1990s because they had equal amounts of 'conflict' and 'interest'. Elaborating on that very point, the owner said, 'The Cowboys enjoy great visibility in all of the cities and towns that aren't NFL teams. We have a very big following, both the ones that want to see us getting our ass kicked and the ones that want to see us win.

Now, that's not the NFL cities. In those cities, we've got a good chance of being the one that wants to beat the most or the other, bless all of them - not just the ones for the Cowboys. And you say, well, what are you, Jerry? What I am is I want the interest, that kind of interest up there, and that interest doesn't just need to be powder-puff stuff. It needs to have some conflict; it needs to have some interest.
Well, this group sitting right here(former players from the 1990s Dallas Cowboys team) knew how to have a little conflict and a little interest around there.
You're good, seriously, in a very, very good way. That is a part of what our story is about - creating that interest and keeping it coming because Netflix has such a breadth of visibility.
What I'm proud of is that we can do our part in adding a little special interest because it's got something to do with the Dallas Cowboys. Maybe we'll get out of here tonight, Michael(Irvin), and give them something else to be interested in.
Michael - in the Hall of Fame. John Madden said - What I'm interested in is what happens when they shut the doors and the lights go down and the bus of all the Hall of Famers, these two guys are in it–what happens is when the lights are down, doors are shut, then the bus in there starts talking.
Michael and I were down there for, I guess, we were talking on the stage, and I said - Michael, we'll be the first two that sneak out.'
Fans severely criticize Jerry Jones for not winning a championship in 30 years
An X user bluntly wrote, '3 decades of the same nauseating comments.
Get this clown away from the football team.' Another too, 'You've been irrelevant for 30 years you dope!' A fan felt, 'I get less interested every year & it's because of him & Stephen.' Another genuinely asked, 'Can he do anything for those that want to see him win?' A fan commented, 'Thanks to Jerry, the ones that want to see the Cowboys get their ass kicked have had a good thirty-year run.
'
Another fan said, 'This guy. I can't watch it.' A third fan chimed in, 'Dude should be working on team and he's doing this crap.' A fourth fan frankly jotted, 'This guy just never shuts his fat mouth. He should be embarrassed that he's having docs made about our team from the 90s, but has nothing relevant to show from the present day. I wish he would sell the team. He doesn't care about winning.'

Travis Hunter divorce row: Why fans think Jaguars star's wife is unhappy and why its not true
Rumors about the Jacksonville Jaguars star, Travis Hunter, and his wife, Leanna, have spread on social media. Fans are speculating that the latter is 'unhappy' and is filing for divorce. However, none of this is true. In fact, the couple has added a new member to their family, a pet dog. Rumors about Travis Hunter and Leanna Lee spread on social media(Instagram) The Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver, who was the No 2 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, married Leanna in May. The two had announced their engagement last year. "You make me the happiest woman on this planet and I am so excited to spend forever with you," Leanna wrote on Instagram back then. Travis Hunter divorce rumors Several fans on social media posted about Leanna wanting a divorce from Travis. However, she herself has not spoken about anything. The rumors are simply untrue. 'Travis Hunter's wife of less than a year has filed for divorce — reportedly seeking $40M. The rookie WR is set to make just over that amount on his entire rookie contract, meaning the split could wipe out nearly all his NFL earnings before his first full season,' a person claimed on X, platform formerly known as Twitter. What fuelled the divorce rumors Days ago, Leanna Lee posted a video on TikTok in which she was seen crying. The clip went viral. "If they break the marriage within a year he can file annulment and it's like the marriage never happened. File annulment now king," one person wrote on X. "Divorce lawyers waiting…," another person wrote. Why was Leanna Lee crying? The video was from December. In the video, Hunter's wife could be seen standing in a bathroom with her wet hair wrapped in a towel. She reposted the video recently. "I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way," she wrote. "I don't even recognize the girl anymore." "The amount you can grown and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding. I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this," she added. "Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you."

Rashee Rice cleared to join Chiefs in Brazil despite guilty plea in high-speed crash case
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice will be on the field when the reigning Super Bowl champions open their 2025 season against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil. The news comes after weeks of uncertainty over whether Rice would be allowed to leave the United States following his recent guilty plea to two third-degree felony charges. Legal trouble stems from March 2024 Dallas car crash Rice's off-field situation has been under intense scrutiny since March 2024, when he was involved in a multi-vehicle collision in Dallas that injured multiple people. Investigators determined he had been driving at over 119 mph before losing control, triggering a six-car pileup on the North Central Expressway. — AdamSchefter (@AdamSchefter) Last month, Rice pleaded guilty to 'collision involving serious bodily injury' and 'racing on a highway causing bodily injury,' both third-degree felonies. While a guilty plea often complicates international travel, especially to countries like Brazil with strict entry regulations, the Chiefs receiver has received clearance to make the trip with his team. The NFL has scheduled a hearing for September 30 to determine potential discipline under its personal conduct policy. This means Rice could take the field for Week 1 but still face a suspension later in the season. On-field impact for the Chiefs in a high-profile international debut For Kansas City, Rice's presence in Brazil is more than just about roster depth—it's about maintaining offensive chemistry. He emerged last season as one of Patrick Mahomes' most reliable targets, showing breakout potential that could be pivotal against a divisional rival like the Chargers. The Brazil matchup marks the NFL's first regular-season game in South America, adding extra spotlight to the Chiefs' opener. For Rice, the trip could serve as both an opportunity to make a statement on the field and a reminder of the legal and personal challenges still ahead. Also Read: Will Aaron Rodgers play in the Steelers' second preseason game against the Buccaneers? While the league's final decision on discipline looms, Kansas City fans and coaches will be watching closely to see if Rice can balance redemption with performance. One thing is certain—his availability for Week 1 ensures the Chiefs start their season with one of their most dynamic playmakers in uniform. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4.
